Glad to hear about the patch as that quest is the only one I have yet to complete, just been farming random quests and resetting some of the expansion missions for their rewards.
I've been able to finish this quest a couple of times, despite the chrashes. Force shutdown the game and you'll end up just before the end fight begins. Try to do something just a bit different, like attacking with a different warrior or let the Mage attack first or something else. Focus your attacks on the Mage, and you'll be able to make it eventually. It may crash a couple of times more, but stick with it. Or, you can wait for the upcoming patch. It should be out next week.
So I just found out psn plus is getting Xcom for free, so I want a game like warhammer quest but is Xcom leagues better in that type of gameplay? If so ill wait for that.
Seriously - if it's taking you so long to decide, either you don't want it, or you can't afford it. That goes for anything you are ever trying to buy in life. Apart from houses, I suppose.
I've been reading this forum since the game came out, and yes I have the game and I got it the moment it came out along with all the IAP, and on every other page, if not every one, your asking is it worth getting or is it worth getting/waiting for something else. And frankly I'm sick of reading the same conversation over and over again. I don't want to sound like I'm attacking you or anything but with the amount of answers and comments and impressions of the game people have gave you surely you must of made your mind up by now weather this game is for you or not. I'll be honest this game isn't as good as I hoped it would be (but that's only due to the repetitiveness of the white quests) but I have no regrets on buying it at all and I will buy all future IAP as well because it is good and I've already spent 30+ hours on it and feel I have my money's worth, especially in this day and age of gaming. Seriously though it is good, it is worth it and I think you would enjoy it.
Yes, Xcom is so much better than WHQ. of course it is. I'm playing WHQ now for over 30 hours and I hated every second of it. Really a bad game and not worth the 5 bucks. So, please, just get Xcom and be happy. Don't make the same mistake i did. I hope I could help you!
lol What happened to "Don't feed the troll" anyway? I was so happy when I realised that there are ignore lists on this forum Only the Skaven Black Quest to do here. I'm a bit mad at myself because I started my game in casual mode, and the challenge was a bit too easy once the warriors were level 4. I bought the Skaven Expansion, the Warrior Priest and Archimage after completing the game's main quests. It was fun having level 1 dudes to level up along level 5/6 ones. But I would also encourage doing Skaven expansion along the main quests, as the red quests were way too easy for my warriors. I'm looking forward to a second playthrough, not sure still if I'll try the hardcore mode though.
I've played a few games now. It's not a bad game only a bit repetitious. It's good for a pick up put down game but not long sessions.
I have played about 10hrs, still in Stirland. Do the enemy's change? Awful lot of orcs etc. Also, does the scenery change? Any ice caves and so on? If not I am going to bail- loved it so far, but, as others have said, getting repetitious. Thanks!!
excuse me, but has vogelmann's credentials been established such that he speaks with authority? Rodeo Games hails from the UK and Workshop Games hails from the US but this patch insight he brings comes all the way from Germany...hmmm. but maybe in the 176 pages of this thread I missed where he/she is established as a representative of the game (otherwise I don't believe this patch story).
I'm not sure, what your problem is. I'm not a represenative of this game, I'm just playing it. And I can read! Maybe you just want to visit the official Facebook-page from RodeoGames. There is an entry from the 5. June: "Morning everyone. We wanted to give you an update in reference to the bugs that some of you are experiencing with Warhammer Quest. We submitted an update to Apple last night, which massively improves stability and fixes the majority of issues people have been sending in. It's currently going through their approval process and should hopefully be with you by the weekend or early next week. Thanks to everyone for being so helpful and understanding in reporting bugs. Please accept our apologies if you have been getting crashes in game. Help is on the way. Thanks, Rodeo Games."
just needed substantiation. anyone can say a patch is coming. prefacing it with "According to their Facebook page a patch is coming" is all i wanted.
You could just ask "How do you know?" without all of the verbiage about how you don't trust this guy.
Really? There I thought Games Workshop was British. Googles ... Yup from England http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Games_Workshop Plus vogelman certainly wasn't being a jerk. You accused him of basically lying, rather than simply asking how he knew.
anyway, i wasn't calling him a liar. in my own inimitable way i was asking "how do you know". my apologies to our german friend. the rest of you please don't come to my door with pitchforks and torches.
I know this is a pretty stupid question, but what with the sheer amount of board-game type things appearing on the app store now (and Talisman Prologue/'soon'-to-be released full version), I don't suppose anyone knows whether or not multiplayer (local/hot-seat or wi-fi) is planned to be added anytime soon? This is the sorta game I'd love to have to play with other friends, each of us playing a specific class.
