No exploring? No treature? No NPC? After have more than 30hs playing, I feel a little boring about killing Orcs and Goblins even rats or bats . Should have more enimies such as dragon , bear , wolf , zombies , also need treatures , side quest in dungeon , good or bad choices , big creatures (maybe 4 or 9)
Well, to be fair this is essentially a spiced up version of the official board game. It was never intended to be anything like Icewind Dale. Man, Icewind Dale on iOS would be magnificent.
You're too nice, it's not a matter of fair. If someone is going to complain about how limited the game is in scope, they didn't comprehend the game's description. I probably said it best here. Critique that they made a finite board game into an endless game with no victory condition, yet didn't add anything to the game that justifies an endless state. Critique that the UI needs a lot of work on iPhone/touch devices. Critique that the game has stability issues on some devices. Critique that the limitations of the Hunters 2 engine make it hard to appreciate the aesthetics of a game that was originally about handpainting and showing off your detailed miniatures... The game is not a perfect game, but complaining about the core design and ruleset that defined what Warhammer Quest was well over a decade before the first iPhone existed does not make any sense. Might as well complain that there are too many plumbers and turtles in Super Mario Brothers games.
Found another sword: Longsword of Battle (uncommon) marauder and wizard 7-9 dmg +1 melee attack 1500 GP Found in rescue the blacksmith quest
I could say loads of things here, but why? Between Chip and Winko (eh? Winko?) it's all been said. This game could only be better with the ability to see your characters in full 3D glory. I know it's not possible in game, but even outside of that would be excellent. Is it doable? I doubt it. Does it make me love the game less? Nupe! Oh, and multiplayer. To be able to play this with my family would be excellent.
I haven't received potion from the witch after completing "there is spiders" quest. Do I missing something? Also it would be nice to get stash or safe house to store some items. Invwntory is not so big and I don't want to sell some items.
Just gave my phone to a friend for a try and guess what I found! Sword of spite damage 13-18 two handed weapon value 100 gold multiple x 2 and seems to have some life leaching effect. I haven't been able to obtain it in either of my play through so maybe it appears only in tutorials?
I found a new weapon: Warhammer of Defence! An uncommon two-handed weapon for Marauder, Ironbraker or Priest. Value: 1.500 gold coins. Description: 8 - 10 Damage, Critical Chance, +2 Toughness. I got this one a reward after the "Rescue the Blacksmith" quest.
I have just played the tutorial once again. There are four special items in the tutorial which I haven't seen later in the main game: - Axe of Slaughter - uncommon - Marauder - one-handed - 5-10 Damage, +3 Strengh - Value: 100 - Sword of Spite - uncommon - Marauder - two-handed - 13-18 Damage, Gold Multiplayer x2 - Value: 100 - Orions Blessed Amulett - rare - Waywatcher - Helmet - +10 Wounds, +1 Melee Attacks - Value: 4.100 - Orions Blessed Armour - rare - Waywatcher - Armour - +2 Toughness, 1 Wounds per Turn - Value: 3.200 I wonder, if these items only avaiable in the tutorial. Would be cool to see them in the main game.
so after looking more into it, i want this game but how long without expansion and how easy is this game? is the expansion worth it?
It is has three levels of "difficulty". so you just pick "Casual" where combat is easy and you don't have perma-death. I would say the difficulty even on hardcore feels not that challenging. Expansion is worth it if you like this kind of game.
do you guys think this will go on sale anytime soon? the last games i bought went on sale 1-2 days after so can you say this wont be on sale for at least 3 weeks ?
Obviously we can`t predict such a thing but if i had to put my money on it, i would only put this on sale before a new expansion arrives, so probably in 2/3 months. That would bring more ppl in just for the new expansion.
While Rodeo has put their previous games on sale for $.99 (not sure if they have been free) I would be shocked if this ever drops in price. Games Workshop is not known for discounting their products.
Aren't you the person asking these same questions multiple times earlier? The answers haven't changed, although some people have realized that a week (and 20-30+ hours) into playing it can get a bit repetitive. $5 for 30 hours of entertainment is a pretty decent trade off these days.
Yes, Games Workshop stuff is rarely discounted, but games licensed from GW might be another case... I saw a lot of XBox 360 Warhammer Battle March boxes on clearance... Well, multiple people have said no discount to Markku, so maybe if you just said yes, it will go on sale, then...
Yes, I have seen physical copies of their licensed games on sale, but I assume that is the retail distributor dropping the price, not GW. I assume they are keeping more control over their digital IPs. I know they keep a pretty tight reign on their ebooks for example.
