? Hey guys are you all playing 1 game and just leveling everyone including the IAP classes? Or are you playing a few seperate games with different classes and set ups? I am thinking it might be better to have 1 huge game leveling everyone but I'm not sure. Any help is appreciated!
On my first play through, levelling everyone on adventurer. Next and any subsequent play throughs will sticking to just 4 and hardcore.
So what is the difference in hardcore besides permanent death? Is there better loot or rewards or what?
The skaven stuff just opens up the left side of the map, you can either fast travel there and back to jump between either set or if your far enough into the main map they join up so you can travel round the whole map. Oh and I contacted the space hulk devs a couple of days ago and they said expect some more info and videos real soon.
I don't have that much free time to run several games in parallel. So I level up everyone until and get equipment for them, until I figure out if I like them or not. E.g. I took my Wayfarer to level 3 before I decided I do not really like her for my playstyle. Now, my first guys are close to hitting the level cap at 6. Guess I will phase one out then, and also level the Marauder, Wayfarer and Grey Wizard to 6 anyways. Just to see if they get better then. If you are into variety: As mentioned several times in the thread, skill assignment at levelup is random. So either several playthroughs or replacing characters where you don't like the skills might be your thing.
Technically I've got two saves. One I played on the default adventurer setting for about 10hours but I got a bit bored of it being easy and started another save on hardcore, But I'm creeping through hardcore really slowly as I don't want to lose anyone
So while we've heard a lot about the hero skills, what are some of the most insidious monster abilities you've hit so far? I think playing in the initial campaign spider webs have to be the most annoying monster perk I've seen so far that isn't simply a matter of a monster increasing its threat level from hps or damage potential. What kind of tricks do the Skaven present?
The shaman orcs can do some nice stuff like "Ere We Go" makes everything have an extra attack, there is also a "fireball lazers of death" forgot the name it basically can 1 shot anything under 30hp usually. I've also seen Gray Seer in skaven area do a pretty nasty skill that makes 1 or more of your heroes unable to do anything next turn.
Not from what I've seen, I'm not sure but it looks like you might get more loot, but that might just be the fact I'm going through each room so slowly that I end up getting more random encounter which give you loot, From what I've played of both modes the only difference I can see is the permanent death, the monsters don't seem to have more life or hit harder?
Looks like the same setup I'm running except I don't have the sweet hammer. It sounds like that's from the expansion, which I don't have.
Seems to be exactly the same. I didn't have people die in Adventurer difficulty once I learned the game (lost one very early) so it's basically the same. All you have to do is heal anyone who is downed.
No, it's just that permanent death changes your perspective. Worst thing thing that happens on Adventurer if you can't get somebody back up is they don't earn any experience. Contrast that with the threat of losing a character you played for hours and a skill set you might never get again along with whatever equipment they have. A much more fun way to play these games in my opinion once you understand what you're facing. Honestly, there's so few items in this game relatively speaking, people are going to get bored silly on Adventurer long before another expansion comes out, and then they'll be so overpowered they'll finish it in an afternoon. Better to play risking failure than play guaranteed to "win".
I just got this game yesterday. I bought the expansions pack and extra characters. I notice this game is kind of short. I have been playing for 11 hours and already have completed the main game. My characters are level 4 and only one is level 5.
So, I'm sure there is a reason for this lack of information in the description, but what exactly does the rabbit's head do?... My guess is better luck with the random encounters, like a +1 on your rolls to be successful?
You have to be kidding me, I never knew that LOL once they got downed I just thought oh well I cant use them for the rest of the quest...
i think it's better luck with the drops (loot). I'm using it just to make sure i don't miss any goodies.
