0 crashes in over 6 hours on the mini. Really thought that I'd be playing KOTOR over this game but honestly I can't put this down. Love this game. Hopefully we get more content in future updates.
The scripting in some of the later Skaven quests causes a number of crashes and other odd effects, but other than that the only crashes seem to come from a memory leak that becomes apparent when playing for too long; sooner or later you'll get to the dungeon victory screen and the game will unceremoniously dump you out and make you take that last turn again. As for the Skaven issues, killing a named NPC in one dungeon on the same turn you encounter him causes the game to crash when you end your turn, so you need to let him make at least one attack before you finish him off. In another dungeon, it is impossible for monsters to spawn/ambush you even if you roll zero Winds, and while the nature of the quest means that this may well be deliberate, it is a bit ambiguous given that no other dungeon works this way.
I also encountered the Blade of Night spell not granting an extra attack to my dwarf.. But granted one to my elf when I cast it on her. Bug?
Shouldn't be; I've played through the entire game and used that spell extensively, and never had an issue with it. Make sure you're not casting it on a character who has been forced to give up their turn for some reason (like the Marauder going berserk, or as a result of an NPC using a stunning ability), as you can't grant them attacks in that situation.
If I purchase the other 4 warriors will I be able to play with all 8 warrior on quest can somebody help
Just encountered a game breaking bug in the "grey seer's tail" quest. I can get into the dungeon and get to the first (I assume) story encounter with the boss, defeat him and read the story message, however when I press the next turn button after that the game crashes. I've tried killing him on the first turn, killing him after a few turns, and killing him last, but the game still crashes
Thats kinda neat. I like that actually. Makes the game have a bit more replay ability. Does anyone know if the ironbreaker gets any active skills? My level 6 one just got passives. Cant wait for space hulk to be released. I feel like whq is just a taste of whats to come for ios gamers though i might get it for pc or both
There seems to be only 3 IAP characters available on my copy. Is this a US App Store exclusive 4th character?
Im pretty sure the dwarf wasnt stunned at that time, hopefully doesn't happen again. If it does, I'll try and take a screenshot. Thanks.
Same here I seriously can't wait for space hulk. While I'm loving WQ 40k is much more my type of universe.
Warhammer Quest came first. It preceded Hunters 2 by over 15 years. So if you want to complain that the two games are too similar, then it must be Hunters that copied WHQ, not the other way around.
I hardly know how to respond to this without resorting to name calling. I am well aware what came first, was playing Game Workshop's stuff in the 90s, and there is nothing you've said that refutes anything I posted. WHQ, the iOS game, is far more a H2 mod than WHQ, the board game. I have also played every Rodeo game from launch until I was sick of it. I think I might be able to spot where Rodeo shoehorned on Game Workshop's names over Rodeo's design and mechanics. There is more H2 in the iOS game than Game Workshop's design. I never said anything about copying.
Man, this thread has exploded so much that I can't keep track.. will have to page back later to see what helpful info there is. I recently abandoned my casual game - I started with that difficulty to get a feel for the game & for a while I felt as if it was the best for me.. but once my guys reached 2-3 I realized that fights were more pushing buttons than strategy. Plus I indulged in the Arch Mage - who I love, anyone tempted should grab him when they feel like additional characters - later in the game, and I felt like I was playing catch-up with him more than fighting properly. So! New game at Normal difficulty. I haven't gotten a chance to sit down and play, but hopefully today I shall.. hopefully it's a better fit now that I know the game a bit more. Will report back.
How is this possible with all action's success based on the original WHQ die rolls? Perhaps the interface is all H2, but these core mechanics are straight from WHQ.
Don't Hunters 2 and Warhammer both depend on probability determinations, be is "dice rolls" ot some other mechanism, as do most SRPG style games? To me that hardly makes WHQ different. The random number generation might be more structured in WHQ and the guidelines are more transparent due to board game basis. I do really like the Winds of Mana randomly determining ability to use magic or enemy attack, that seems really novel.
