I had the problem that the game always crashes when I'm at the end of a dungeon. Well, it still happens each time, but when I load my game I'm actually back in the dungeon right before my last battle and not back on the world map. Not sure what's going on, but I won't complain. It's playable now. Great game!
I get somewhat frequent game crashes after I complete a quest, right after the exp screen where it calculates your warriors' xp, I hit continue and it immediately crashes. This has happened probably 4 times, and I lost almost no progress, but it's very consistent so I'm mentioning it. I have all my guys at level 4 with 6/9 main quests done after around 9.5 hours. I mostly just did enough white quests to get my warriors up to the recommended levels for the red quests. I'm continuing to like the game, but it sucks when you win some loot for a character you don't own. Will buy expansion once I'm through with the main game. I had concerns after reports of icloud erasing your progress, so I tried turning it off but it erased my save file. I turned icloud back on and my save reappeared. This sucks, guess I can only play with it left on.
someone sell me on this game. lvl 6 cap seems to low and also there is a expanision pack already so is some of the base game missing? sell me on it?
My wood elf just leveled to lvl 3, but received 'no new ability' unlike the other three warriors. Is this normal or was I extremely unlucky or something?
You know, I hate questions like this. Did the first 109 pages of discussion not sell you? Why's it my job? The base game is something like 12-15 hours easy. The additional content is another 12-15 hours of gameplay. This doesn't include the grinding and whatnot. I started playing adventurer, got about 10 hrs in and never got past the 3rd main quest (they kept giving me side quests with loot I wanted). I use the WP and the Slayer though I'm finding the Slayer pretty useless so far. He never hits and always GETS hit. I dislike the Archmage because of his random offen/defen thing. I always run the Grey Wizard. I wish they'd drop some more of the packs of the original game. I'd love me some Bladedancers or Chaos Warriors. This universe has so much going for it, you could even do some witchhunters or the like. I see this and I can ONLY hope they wanna expand expand expand. Besides, I chose this over Ace Attorney. I might get back to that one but this one has me reeled all the way in so far.
Can anyone explain what the skill "Hunter's eye" does? I expected it to give the warrior X range attacks for that turn where X is the number of melee attacks, but it doesn't seem to have any effect when I cast it, is it bugged?
In the inventory screen one of the icons at the top right will show you what abilities are given at what levels from memory.
Hey Gang, When a blessing or random effect says it will last "until the next dungeon", is this simply only for the next run OR the next run with this character? Since I'm often swapping party members back and forth, I'm wondering if I can sit bad effects out by skipping a run.
Honestly if you aren't excited for it after seeing a trailer and these pages of discussion, maybe this game isn't for you. I can easily see it turning off certain types of people.
Yeah, I'm not interested in selling anyone. If you want to play, fine. If you don't want to play, fine.
After 9 hours of gameplay I want to like Warhammer Quest more than I do. The respect for the tradition of the board game is great and user interface smooth (no problem turning my iPod here). However, the levels seem repetitive with only 5-6 different enemies to fight ever (excluding $4.99 additional expansion purchase). Running into the same subquest a few times or randomly getting the same set-up dialogue for multiple quests seems redundant. Levels are rarely heated or challenging (in hardcore mode), it's more a matter of running in to grab some loot that might make your character more over powered than they already are. I invested 4000 coin in a hammer for my iron breaker and another 1700 in a bow for my elf but upgrading equiptment seemed to dull the balance quickly (maybe a level cap on expensive high grade items would help). One thing I really admire about Rodeo Games is the way they squeeze every ounce of utility out of level randomization but increased mission variety and enemy types in the core game would go a long way. Warhammer Quest is worth $4.99 but I can't help feeling it could have been so much more amazing with a little more attention and a few tweaks.
Quick question guys: when your characters reach cap level, would they always end up with the same stats and abilities? The reason I ask is because my game crashed after I levelled up one of my characters, then when I loaded the game and levelled up that same character, I got a different new ability and I think stats as well.
Ok, so it differs for classes then i.e. the level when you do not get an ability is different between classes, but fixed per class, thanks! Are these abilities what you receive completely randomized and if so how many are there in total per class?
Yeah you're right, just went and checked. Not sure, I think they're fixed but someone who has had multiple games could clear that up.
I started a game without being synced to iCloud, now when I turn iCloud on it won't recognize my saved game... When I turn iCloud off my Dave pops back up. How is this fixed?
