Does this game make you buy IAP to continue the game, or can I just pay 4.99 and play the game and beat it? Also how does the loot system work in this game?
You're fine with the $4.99 the IAP gold is totally not needed and the extra characters and expansion are optional. The base game will provide plenty.
This. Is. Brilliant! Drama, tension, excitement, fights. But enough about this thread. I really need to download this game and see it for myself.
Bwaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahaharofl!... choke...choke... *gasps for air* Mate, one more of these and I'll kick yer sorry butt for nearly killing me.
I'm at work till 930 gonna play this A LOT between clients lol. Anyone suggest a solid team composition? All IAP included I'm early on and want to setup my squad early.
The $5 buys you the complete core game, no other purchase is remotely required. The second $5 buys you a whole other expansion the same size as the original core game (i.e. doubles the available gameplay). There are 3 other hero classes available for $3 each. The value there is strictly down to you. I grabbed them because I like variety in these games. With 3 extra mouths to feed, I can safely tackle all the side quests I want without fear of over leveling because I always have somebody behind to bring up further. You certainly don't need the extra characters to play the game, it just gives a different flavor as they have different skills / strengths / weaknesses. They're certainly not over powered compared to the stock 4; if anything, they're a more situational, harder to use bunch. Loot works like this: each time you vanquish a group of enemies that appeared in an encounter, there is a chance you get one or more pieces of loot. Loot ranges from merchant trash to useful consumables to sweet gear. Each time you kill an enemy, you get gold. Successfully completing a quest may have set rewards of gear and/or gold. The system is pretty straight forward.
Is the Grey Wizard spell that's supposed to give an extra melee attack bugged or am I using it wrong? I can't seem to get any benefit out of this spell.
Forgive me if this has already been answered, but I couldn't be bothered to read over 20 pages worth of whining. I just had a quick question: Is there a reason to buy the expansion right now? That is, do I get access to different content within the MAIN game by purchasing the expansion (e.g., new enemies)? Or can I just play through it once I have finished the original content? Let the dungeon crawling continue...
Phooey. Ah well, I guess that's good news, I just need to fiddle with it a bit. Not sure why it's not working for me, it doesn't seem to matter who I cast it on or when.
Either/or will work just fine. I am a huge Skaven fan so I picked it up right away. You can head over to that region whenever you want to do random quests with Skaven to mix things up a bit, or you can wait until you've gotten through the main game content and tackle it all at once.
You can't get away that easily, I'm afraid; the basic rules for WQ state that if the mage isn't present or is dead, somebody else rolls the die to establish the Winds/random events.
Warhammer 40,000. I made the same mistake. Which clears up some of my confusion...I had thought 2 different companies were making Warhammer games, which struck me as odd. I guess the other game is 40,000K...which grab in a heartbeat. MORE BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!
Easiest way to test is to exhaust one fighter's attacks while standing next to an enemy, then cast Blade of Night on them (make sure you're actually casting it on them, naturally). When you select that fighter, they should have a new red highlight over the adjacent enemy, showing that they have one more attack available that round.
Great, thank you!! I think I'll continue with the main campaign for now and then just grab the expansion somewhere along the line.
