questions I am loving this game....but have some questions. can someone explain how magic recharges? Sometimes i have enough to cast multiple time but most times i am empty.
Thanks, yes my Marauder just did that. What's the rules behind it? Is it random (dice roll kind of mechanic)? Oh how do I open the journal? I just did it, don't know how Why does my warrior sometimes do two attacks in one turn? It happened twice, once with my dwarf and once with my marauder. Both times, they were in range of three enemies. I tapped on one enemy, he attacked him and the adjacent enemy And like dasaff, how does magic work? Edit: and how my Marauder%2
As best I can follow, each turn they must roll a die to determine your available mana and, if you have enough mana but a spell option doesn't light up (like Shadow Daggers for 2), I think that means there is no valid target in range of that spell.
Each round, your spellcasters will roll for "Winds of Magic", which is the number of magic points they can use on spells. If you roll a zero, you'll end up with a random dungeon encounter or monster ambush. To cast a spell, you need the required WoM points, and you need to be standing where you can use the selected spell. If you want to cast Healing Mist, for example, you need five WoM points and can cast at range, whereas if you use Shadow Daggers you only need two points (so you can cast three times if you have six points), and you need to be standing right next to an enemy. Thus, if you only roll a two for WoM, your wizard might not be able to do or cast anything if they are badly positioned or blocked.
Just out of curiosity, did you even make it ton the first town? I've have had crashes on the loading screen but once it ran, it's been fine. But now worries if your crashes at the end of other dungeons (I just played until I reached a town) will happen to me.
What is your guys team composition looking like? I picked up the Warrior Priest and replaced my Iron Breaker. Not liking my Grey Wizard so I may replace him with Archmage and Slayer for Maurarder depending. Any advice?
Yep, didn't help. I can deal with the loading screen crashes, but the dungeon crashes make it impossible to progress. Yes. I didn't have a single crash until I've reached the first town. The problems started after that.
Don't have time to play now (damn work), but I'll never to see if this happens to me. Since it's using the same engine as Hunters 2, I didn't expect any trouble. Fingers crossed.
I'm using the default four. My advice to people who haven't played WQ before in any format and haven't developed preferences is to simply ignore the IAP characters entirely and just play the game with the standard ones the first time through. Grab the expansion though. ^_-
This is due to the deathblow when you one shot kill an enemy you have a chance to attack another adjacent enemy for free, I think it can be done by any character. That's why I try and get my dwarf or marauder right in the middle of the action and you can sometimes kill every enemy surrounding you.
I'm not sure how anyone could even TRY to play it on the iPhone. I downloaded it to both and had a great time with the iPad version but couldn't read a word on the phone. The text and icons are so small. SO small.
I've been playing this for a while now. How am I supposed to fight against 9 goblin archers one of them a boss when they get two shots each at my men? They killed 2 of my party of 4 before it was even my turn. 9 versus 4 in a hall with them all archers and I only have one archer. I can't even get close enough to kill them before they kill me. And the boss was firing magic missiles at me. I couldn't get out of the way because its a long hall. By the time I ran I was all dead. Please keep in mind that I have NEVER played this game in my life until today. It seems very unbalanced to me in favour of the AI and I'm stuck and can't level up and I'm not getting enough gold to get better weapons. I'm just getting killed all the time it's no fun.
It is definitely great when you can chain an entire room to death in only one or two turns, but this is also why my melee characters were at level three while my wizard was still level one.
.. Hey guys is there other clickable things in the dungeons or the loot that just pops up after battle is it? I want to make sure I am not missing anything, really loving the game so far. Also anoyne finding rare or unique loot yet?
In addition to being able to kill multiple guys around you when you attack I have noticed that on some enemies (so far just Giant Rats and Giant Bats) when they attack me the Deathblow bit will pop up and my guy attacks back. I don't know if this happens on only a miss or not, nor what determines whether or not it happens, be it dice or lower level critters, etc. whoda
Thanks, helped a lot. My wizard was in a bad position 1) So my warriors have either blocked, countered, or blocked then countered. Seems random. How does this work? (And it wasn't after a Deathblow attack) 2) How do I open the journal? I'm playing on iPhone, but I love the turn to access inventory feature. It's unobtrusive and makes nice use of the mobile capabilities. Town book visuals are awesome I'm loving the game so far. Only did the first mission so far. Really fun. Still adjusting to the style of gameplay. So used to long range gun combat from Hunters or XCom, covering lines of sight, overwatch, etc. But the different characters here are so different, seems to allow for a lot of depth and strategy
