Yeah, I made the mistake of replacing my wizard with the witch hunter and should have replaced the elf archer. Even at level 5, I find her very underwhelming and she misses ALL the time and has very little skills. The question for me is, I have a level 1 wizard with a bunch of level 5 characters. How do I raise the wizard's level? He can't get any kills and I believe that's how the characters get XP, isn't it?
The wizard is really weak at level 1, but quickly becomes powerful once you level his skills. My tip to help this is to wear down enemies and let the wizard finish them off and so he gets the xp for the kill. Might take a few dungeons, so grind some levels and he will soon catch up.
I was thinking of buying another character and just taking two of them in a dungeon. Is that suicide? Or are there less enemies that spawn if you have less heroes in the dungeon? Also, if I were to buy a 2nd character (currently have the witch hunter) which ones would you recommend?
I have the warrior priest and he is pretty useful as he revives others in the pack and has powers to grant extra attacks etc. Other than this the shadow warrior is the other I would consider, and would suggest you check back a few pages for the lowdown on him.
What's the best party combo? I've been using the following. Any suggestions to shuffle and improve? Marauder Witch Shadow Bright
Marauder, trollslayer, ironbreaker, warrior priest Eat through any enemies quickly, more powerful than any other combo i've tried including wizards. You need the healing blessing for the priest, restoration rings and a few scrolls for emergencies but try it, this combo kicks serious ass.
I ran 2 groups, the second was shadow warrior, waywatcher, grey wizard and bright wizard. Took alot longer to go through a dungeon but good fun playing without a balanced group
The most recent IOS7 update had a line about improved performance on iphone 4. I re-installed what was not refunded to see. It still crashes periodically, but the slideshow is now a consistwntly smoothe framerate.
How/when do you use the various chalices/spheres/etc "of power"? How do you fill them for use? Do you fill them on turns where you don't need your power, and then the power is available when you need to cast spells later? I am just not sure on how to use them. Thanks.
They are either consumables (orbs) or accessories (chalice) - they will say which they are above the item name in the inventory screen. You don't need to fill them or power them up or anything like that. The consumable type (the orbs) work just like bandages or food, but they refill magic rather than health, they are one use only, they disappear after use. The chalice (or chalices - I don't know if you can get different types?) can be used once per dungeon, that's what it means by "use once".
Thanks, now another question. What does the stat for toughness do? In most games that increases hitpoints but in this case there's another stat called wounds that is another name for HP. So what does toughness do? And does the magic rabbits head really do anything?
Single use accessories e.g. Chalice of fate must be equipped at the end of a quest to refill the power. If you use on first turn then stick into inventory then it will stay drained when you get it out of inventory on the next quest. Toughness decreases damage taken by about 10%
The Schools of Magic are IAP-driven cheats/convenience purchases (resurrect heroes, kill all enemies in current battle, etc). So unless you've been desperately craving another way to spend money on WHQ, you might want to temper your hopes for new content
Weird. This came with no foreshadowing that there would be an update. Rodeo has actually been pretty good in the past about letting people know what was coming. Considering that for all-intensive purposes WQ seemed done with in their eyes, it seems especially odd that they would go for a cash grab when the game was in decline.
Likely, just disappointing as I've supported the game since release and would have gladly bought more actual content. The game really didn't need more useless IAP.
