Love finishing the last enemy off with burn, as they die in their turn you still can get mana store from amulet of power

I think I am almost done with the game. Concerning the 2 expansions "The Brutal Tribe" and "The Hidden Threat", are they worth buying?

More critters, orcs and goblins, uber loots and dungeon crawl over? Anything new?

Should I buy both expansions or just go with the latest one which is "The Brutal Tribe?.

My warriors are already level 7 now just with the basic game.

Yes, to both expansions, they both add more flesh to the game( plus new strategic opportunities due to the new enemy types etc)

I actually liked restarting from scratch to play through again from the start to the end of the Skaven expansion, it really makes you think about your play style, then reevaluate who does what etc

That's just my two pence though

Also recommend to get both expansions.
I bought them too, and greatly enjoyed them.
Especially the 2nd one adds more interesting quests/dungeons.
However, note that it also is harder than the core game, somewhat limiting your character choice. I wouldn't want to hit it with a weak party; e.g. Archmage, Archer, Ogre, Priest. Playing it with Marauder, Shadow Warrior (melee-geared), Bright & Gray Wizard didn't pose too much of a problem/challenge.

Thanks nullzone and memyselfnoone for the replies. Sounds good, will buy both expansions.

Due to doing research and to prevent issues further down the expansions, I am already adventuring with a marauder, shadow warrior and bright/grey wizard.

Grey wizard with Okkam's Mindrazors is doing tonnes of damage, particularly once you get a few items with re-usable stored power.

Does anyone know if I can find a listing of items in the game?

    You're welcome ;)

I don't have them at hand right now. Search the thread for my earlier posts, I have put up links to item & skill lists before; other did as well, shouldn't be too hard to find.

Is this supposed to be a glitch? My dwarf troll slayer has just acquired this skill called whirlwind and it damages all enemies around him...the thing is unlike most warrior skills this skill seemed to have unlimited uses per turn...literally makes this game too easy.

Yes, it is a broken skill. It has been reported several times along with other bugs so hopefully it gets fixed next patch.

How do you kill a troll? It keeps regenerating health a high rate.

This will sound obvious but out damage the regeneration. If you can't grind o
for a bit to get better gear.

As a general tip, don't be too quick to level up you charaters. Staying at a level of a bit to grind better gear is always worth it.

You don't loose XP by not leveling, it is still counted.

    Hope that helps.

Does fire do permanent damage to a troll in Warhammer Quest, or is that another game I am thinking about?

I think it was a case in Baldurs Gate games where you needed fire/acid to stop trolls from regenerating. I thought same thing but it didnt work in this.

Its a D&D convention that is often used in other fantasy setting games as well but I don't think it applies to this game.

    Heed some help please.

Having trouble using Veil of revival and Shield of illusion for grey wizard

Same with rise from ashes for bright wizard.

Also, my grey wizard is level 7 and i didn't get mind-razors. should i retire him and try again? What do you think?

The resurrection spells like Veil and Rise are used after a hero has died and his body has disappeared. Shield of Illusion is currently bugged as it is supposed to shield only adjacent heroes; instead it can only be cast when a monster is adjacent to the caster and shields all heroes.

Mind-razors is a good spell, but not really necessary. I would say if you got Blade of Night, your Grey Wizard is just as good although will function differently. Even if you get a solid assortment of healing spells and the teleportation spell the Grey Wizard can be a solid combat fighter/healer able to reach specific key monsters. Spells like Nightmare Visage and Shield of Illusion also combo well with a defensive/healing spec Grey Wizard. In the end it all depends on what you want out of your Grey Wizard which generally has to do with the other heroes you use and their skills.
