So, an update for anyone interested: So far I have leveled all to level 5 except the bright mage who keep earning more xp and thus has leveled to 6 by now. So far it is manageable, though my DPS output do seem on the low side. Interesting, with only one level 6 i am not seeing orange quest rewards and also, no black orcs yet. On a side note, my ring of regeneration just healed poison (hardcore). I have gone slowly and done more quests than needed to get better equipment, thus i have just kept playing heroes even though i could have leveled them, to keep the enemy spawns at a sufficient low level. I have my worries for level 7-8 though.....
:/ sucks to be me. I been playing new games since theres no incentive for me to grind anymore since I cant get more than one hammer of sigmar. N I realize waywatcher doesn't seem to have an orange armor??
I asked this once before, i am going thru the first area, and i havr been to all the settlements, and won at least one round thru each dungeon offered at each one, and completed 8/9 of the area quests, but the 9th just does not become available!!! Exactly how many white quests do you have to do before the last one comes up? What am i missing. On a different save i went to at least 3 dozen white quests without the last showing up before quitting in disgust. Can anyone give me a figure or strategy to proceed? Thanks in advance...
The final black quest shows up after you have done all 9 red quests, so there is still a town somewhere in your game with a story quest you have missed. If you have the Skaven expansion, you might be getting confused as one town far to the west looks like its part of the Skaven area, but is actually part of the starting area.
Thank you for the reply. You were right i was presuming yhat the city to the west was in the skaven expansion and the black mission was in the count to nine. I am on my way again.....this has turned out to be such a good game with both the expansions and all the characters.....certainly in the running for GOTY though the competition will be stiff. Thank you again for aiding the blind ( so to speak)
Ok.. I just got the game. What if any expansions or iap should I get to start out to get the best game experience. Or when should I buy them
If you know you like it, I recommend to buy any warrior that looks appealing to you. If you're not sure yet, just go with the default content. You can always decide later. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I am pretty sure that loot is not dependent on location, but only on level. About the expansions: The order is core game, Skaven, Averheim. Both in terms of overarching story and difficulty. Averheim sports level 6+ storyline quests. And the unspoken assumption is that you have equipment to match. E.g. no level 8s with starting equipment; unless you feel like a real challenge IAP weapons is also up to you: You can do perfectly fine without, but especially in the beginning they give a huge boost. Which might actually be detrimental, as being overpowered at the start invites getting sloppy. Which spells Death - C-E-R-T-A-I-N D-O-O-M - later on.
Yes I noticed that the higher tier blue loot quests will show up when a character hits level 5 and the orange loot quests start appearing when a character hits level 7. I believe that the blue loot quests can be generated anywhere on the map but the orange quests are limited to the Averheim territories. However the area directly north of Averheim will generate orange loot quests and the enemies aren't as difficult as the other areas in the expansion. Bit of an exploit but you can farm for some orange gear before hitting the expansion area proper.
I am biased against orange armor tat give very few stats. The marauder and ironbreaker orange armors are the exception. Plenty of nice stats! I figure orange slots should give u more bang for the buck.
After having tried to delay the sad moment for so long and having killed 2 consecutive level 8 parties (close to 400 hours too !!!! )....I fully completed Averland on hardcore. Amazing experience...but I already want more My last team is truly a juggernaut...the number of legendary unique looking objects I found is staggering Seems to me you find the most when you have 1 level 8 char and everyone else at lower level....2-3 legendary objects per town when you go back and forth in the middle of the map (South of Averhein). Those white quests are the most difficult in the region imho....sometimes if you aren't full prepared with a stash full of health scrolls it can be brutal. Sadly, my beloved Marauder was forced to give up on the sword-shield combo after finding an incredible two handed sword that crit enemies with over 6 resistance (almost anyone at level 8)....with a medium damage of 55 HP and around 8 attacks per turn....almost nothing could survive the first turn if well positioned. Okkam Razor and a nice fire arrows (6 per turn) take care of the rest. I really loved everything, but in particular I loved the last Necromancer quest (the one in the South)...I wouldn't mind if Rodeo made several 'puzzle/riddle' dungeons in the future. I'll try not to kill everyone this time while waiting for next expansion
Restore purchases woe and iCloud sync Help with restore purchases... I'm playing this on both my iPhone and iPad. 2 days ago, I purchased the ogre, on the iPad and now I want to play on my iPhone. I see the save file synced, but when I try to restore purchases on my iPhone, it says it completed successfully, but it still registers my ogre as not purchased (but available to purchase again) What gives? Also... Has anyone noticed that the iCloud sync only syncs once per day? I can't seem to synch my morning game to my night device. But the next day, I will see it. Is it supposed to be this slow? Any way to speed it up?
Random skills Another question... Are skills random? One of my chars died. When I hired another one, I noticed he leveled up with a skill I hadn't seen before. Any way of controlling which skills I get? Or am I stuck with retiring them until I get a combination of skills that I like? Thanks
No, you cannot (they are generate randomly). Once, one of my character got the same skill twice...that sucks.
Try here, that list is pretty much complete: http://videogamegeek.com/thread/988157/list-of-skills Check here as well, it has links to skills and item lists: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showpost.php?p=2989312&postcount=2560 And you can actually control what you get on levelup, but it is a bit tedious: At levelup, skill, wounds and manapool are randomised. The result only gets saved when you leave the levelup screen. Now, don't do that. Just leave the game and close it completely. When you start it up again, you can try again. Repeat as needed until you get a result you like. Think I posted some numbers on wounds/mana per level and what skills I had available somewhere earlier in this thread, but cannot remember the page number.
thank you. I'll give that a try incidentally, possible bug found: picked up a 'helm of dusk' for the shadow warrior... it says +1 weapon skill, but upon equipping it, weapon skill does not increase. anyone see the same issue?
Perhaps you have other gear equipped that increases toughness? The Shadow Warrior encumbrance "skill" gives -1 weapon skill for every two points of toughness if I remember.
Argh... You are absolutely right. I should have caught that. Been testing with iap. Purchased sunfang, and I noticed 2 odd behaviors. First, the burn damage doesn't stack if I hit any enemy twice (unlike casting burn or using burning quivers twice) Also, I lose my 'reaction strike' if I have sunfang equipped.
Yeah that's why I always try to get the skill that negates encumbrance, makes a bit of difference. Also discovered the Martial Prowess skill, that is a must have!
