As disappointed as I am about not having any squiggy fun. I am happy that they didn't through smurfs and 'nids into Hunters 2 and call it Warhammer 40k quest I am enjoying the new loot from tribes. would like to see more ranged options though like spears and the dwarf gun. Maybe a dwarf engineer in the next expansion if you can't handle Chaos.
I would bet that the next ranged unit will be the Witch Hunter, mainly due to a poll they ran on their Twitter a while back. The response was pretty much universal that people wanted the Witch Hunter as the next hero. This could easily segway into a Dwarf Thunderer or Engineer later though, as many of the weapons would cross over. Im certainly happy to see what they have done with the game and the Warhammer world so far. Its simply the greedy part of me that wants more. I actually dont think there is a group of potential enemies in the Warhammer world that would disappoint me with their addition at this point. If they do do Chaos, I only hope the designs come from Forge World, because well, look at them!: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer/WARHAMMER_CHAOS
At this point I'd put money down on the Witch Hunter being in the next lot of IAP. I'll cross my fingers for the Pit Fighter as well
Got every single character upto level 8 And apart from the base characters which I love and are the best equipped my second favorite team would have to be the Shadow warrior Trollslayer Priest Bright wizard When they have the right gear and spells they pretty much rock as well
Folks already gave lots of good advise, so take your pick In general, it depends on your playstyle and how much challenge you want. E.g. I found the Priest to be very unreliable, and not doing enough damage to be worthwhile later. Shadow Warrior is extemely versatile, you can deck him out focused on melee, or ranged; or keep him closer to his starting outfit, which is in between. Bright Wizard is a damage cannon, especially later on with his Barrage spell that fires at up to 6 enemies. If you are more of a player who wants help/harmful effects, he is a good choice too. Archmage is great for protction and damage, but chancy because his available spells switch every round. Ogre: No idea, I don't have him. From what folks wrote here, I just didn't like his layout, and it does not fit my playstyle. One attack only? Ouch. Yesyes, but he is a great tank, you see. Tank? My frigging "squishy" *Wizard* is the grandmother of all tanks Sorry, got carried away a bit... Trollslayer is nice, but also warms the bench. Noone beats the Champion of Khorne - oops, the Marauder of course - in terms of raw melee damage. Geez, now I want "WHQ2 - Champions of Chaos" ...
chaos expansion with witch hunter , pit fighter, and <insert character I'm not buying here>? My excitement for that possibility can be summed up in two words: BURN HERETIC!
Ahh Chaos. For those of you who played original board game: Anyone ever fight any champions of chaos? We ran into a bloodthirster once (really unlucky obj. Room roll with a Lv. 8 party) he ambushed magic and killed 2 then killed the rest after ignoring our attacks. Now he's enjoying their tasty souls. That was the closest I ever got to getting to level 10 (max).
Don't know if anyone has mentioned this but Fr. Beat'emup has a move of 5. Very handy for killing sneaky spiders a tile away!
can anyone link any game play videos of brute tribe and skaven expansion, iv searched and got no results.
Thanks for the replies to my earlier post. I went for Shadow Warrior, Trollslayer, Warrior Priest and Bright Wizard. I borrowed some rings off my higher level team and have sent them into a couple of white dungeons. Seems like a new game - having a great time.
Good choice, I just paid the price for using my Ogre and Archmage together at the same time, they are both so unreliable I ended up losing my whole team. And both were level 7. Also lost a level 7 Shadow Warrior, and thought I lost my level 8 Marauder along with the Hammer of Sigmar! But, luckily, when I headed back to town my level 8 Marauder was still alive along with all of his gear. I'm not sure if this is a glitch in Hardcore mode or what, since my other warriors that died were gone for good.
Does the ring still disappear after certain amount of damage? I'm surprised that the reward is the same for both options. Cuz the first time I chose to tell the truth and a sword was mentioned in the text.
You want some 4 squared enemies?! I've been browsing through the Warhammer store and from what I've seen it's like a death wish. But hey, let's get some!
I don't expect squigs to come out soon. But Vermin Lords are quite possible. I noticed that the game centre achievement for seeing all kinds of skaven can't not be achieved. They must have something prepared for another expansion!
Sorry, didn't try. No free orange slots, so I just sold it. And I noticed that about the sword too. Small lapse on the writers' part I guess. It actually makes sense that the reward is the same. They give you a family heirloom once they think/know the Necromancer is dead.
