Thanks perfect answer, these end game dungens are owning me pretty bad but I like the challenge, so to confirm brute tribe is much harder ?
Someone please answer this quick, how many endgame dungeons are for the main game? And what are there names? After updating the game I only have 1 lvl 6 dungeon for the main game but before I had 3 so help? Plus the really weird thing was I might have been able to visit brute tribe without buying the dlc because when I updated the game the city I was in was saying I need to purchase brute tribe and Mabey this is where the other lvl 6 dungeons were comming from,,,, I don't know but I just hope I'm not glitched...
Why don't you go find out yourself? Come back here armed with some serious knowledge, how's that sound? You ask the same things over and over (with variations), you should make notes or check your own posts again.
I don't know the names because there not there unless I have to reset the quest so if I find out the name I can reset it.. I don't understand the why you would talk to me like that , yes I took a long while to buy this game but I did And I love it, so now I'm wondering if you can help me figure out if I'm glitched or not or Mabey before the update I hade brute tribe for free without knowing... I don't know and that's why I'm asking.
@Markku: my crystal ball is still in repair, cannot help you, sorry Seriously: go check your purchase history. Do you really expect us to magically find out what is going on on your side, with zero information?
You will have to use the Region Travel button in order to leave the Averland region, if you are already there and did not purchase the Brutal Tribe DLC. It was previously possible to travel to Averland manually but this has now been fixed.
And wait are you saying that since I could access it i could have done the whole brute tribe dlc for free?
No, and if you're enjoying the main game but are afraid that the new DLC is too hard for you, you could always try the Skaven DLC first. I found it a little harder then the original dungeons, but not nearly as hard as the new stuff. And the IAP characters add a lot of replay value as well, I'd recommend the Shadow Warrior as an upgrade for the Waywatcher, the other IAP characters add more variety then superiority.
Yes, but you will get constant reminders if you haven't bought anything. Not annoying popups or anything, but loot you find will be for DLC characters, places marked on the map you need to purchase, etc... But yes the games enjoyable without, you just never feel you own the whole thing but there's more than enough content in the base game, if somewhat repedative.
Thanks for the update. I found it last night just while I was "walking the earth getting into adventures."
That ring you got, does it do something like "absorb X damage, then explode" ? I went through telling the truth the first time, and got a ring like that as reward for the 2nd half of the quest (taking care of the Necro for good). Only my ring is orange, not green. Would greatly prefer a green one, more free slots you see... UPDATE: Looks like what you got was a buggy item, and they fixed it with the recent patch. I just went through the quest again, lying this time, and got the same ring as before when I told the truth.
First off I apologise if this has been asked before, but this topic is over 300 pages long so please no abuse.. Also, it could be useful to others fairly new to the game. I am currently running the starting team (levels 5-7) with the base game plus Skaven expansion but now feel it's time to have some variety in my game. I haven't yet purchased the Brutal Tribes expansion. What would you experts advise as a second team. My current thinking is Ogre Irongut, Shadow Warrior and the Bright Wizard plus one other. Any advice would be most welcome.
I'm having a good time with troll slayer, priest, shadow warrior, and grey wizard. Looking at your group I'd go with the priest. He's fun to play as his blessings are helpful and can be used every turn, so that adds some variety. He can get some nice gear (hammers, circets or priest helms, and nice armor) later in the game. troll slayer is like a dwarf marauder so not much difference (IMO). Of course you could always hold out for the next expansion where we'll get a true chaos warrior and a pit fighter!!! Happy questing
Keep in mind that the Ogre Irongut is good at crowd control and tanking, but it not the best at single target damage. This actually works out alright with the Shadow Warrior and Bright Wizard, but you will probably want the Trollslayer to fill the final roll for solid melee damage. The alternative is using the Irongut to maintain attention and go with the Archmage, Bright Wizard, and Shadow Warrior picking off specific targets at leisure. That time of match-up can be a lot of fun, but also may prove challenging if you dont get certain spells, especially the mass heal for the Archmage. If you want a straightforward, easy to use group go with Trollslayer, Warrior Priest, Bright Wizard, and Shadow Warrior. The Warrior Priests prayers that offer extra attacks or turns will boost your melee, while the Shadow Warrior and Bright Wizard will counter enemy range units.
Ha, I hope not! I can view the Marauder as being Unsworn (using Chaos gear and/or riding with Chaos hoards but being unaligned to a Chaos god), but the idea of an actual Chaos Warrior wandering casually into Altdorf and doing quests for the Empire would be pretty odd to say the least. I do hope we see Chaos in some form as an enemy soon though. Daemons seem like the quintessential high end enemy. On that note, really hope we start seeing some 4 square-based enemies. It feels like we miss out on a lot of possibilities if Rodeo continues to avoid bigger monsters.
4 square-based monsters + pit of despair spell = super fun times! Yeah it does seem like Rodeo is leaving out a ton of original material. Like the cave squig!!! And I hate to tell you this but: if you think there's not Chaos in the Empire then the inquisition has done it's job well. Besides there's more treasure in the Altdorf than in the wastelands. Would also like to see both chaos daemons and undead.
Honestly how did Rodeo do Orcs not only in the base game, but also the latest expansion and not use squigs??? They are one of the most notable and unique elements of Orcs in the Warhammer universe. The Skaven as well are missing a key unit: The Vermin Lord, who seems like the perfect end boss for the campaign and dungeons that scale up to the higher levels.
The best second team would be the Warrior Priest, the Trollslayer, the Shadow Warrior, and the Bright Wizard. You'll find they all replace your starters nicely, along with providing some variety. Plus, they all fit nicely as single substitutions, if you want to mix and match. The Ogre and Archmage are both fun to use in their own way, but both have serious drawbacks. The Ogre can take a lot of damage, but is horrible at hitting single targets. While the Archmage has some great spells, his magic switches randomly between offensive and defensive, which also makes him unreliable if you're using a single caster.
