I agree that they need to fix the glitches and bugs that have destroyed this game for me, and others, since the update. I have no idea how they took a game that worked perfectly fine, update it, and makes it unplayable on phones that had no problems running it before. I just don't understand how they could not have known this update would not work on iPhone 4.

I probably need to just stop reading this thread till they update it to fix the glitches. I get angry reading about all the cool new items and fun people are having with the expansion, and I can't even enjoy the original game I have been playing since May.

    Thoughts on Pit Fighter

    Pit Fighter
Fist spike: +2 attacks, no deathblows, pit fighter moves into the space of vanquished foes.

    skills:
    duel wield!
skull crack - attack two adjacent enemies, ignores toughness
shove monster - chance to push monster back into unoccupied space.
    others?

In the original board game the PF was straight up broken. But here he could be used more in a crowd control/monster movement aspect. you could push spiders back around corners or open up a path for marauder with 10+ attacks
Balanced with lower health (for melee fighter) and little to no armor I think he could work.

How are you people getting enough money to train at higher levels? I need 20k to lv up my marauder and bright mage from 6 to 7. No way am I buying iap gold, at least kit with those onerous rates.

I find generally the quests give about 4000-5000 gold a run through. You don't always get to level up right away, but it doesn't usually take long. I would never bother with the IAP gold.

Rabbit head wards off ambushes? Has anyone else experienced this? I never bought it, as there's no stats on it

I thought, and could well be wrong, that the Rabbit Head helped during random events on the map and in towns.

Ah crap, because I didn't exit my game in my iphone, my progress from my iPad didn't sync over. It resumed from an earlier point in the game, and subsequently saved it as the latest game.

Can't play on my phone now without losing all my progress from last night. I just hope my iPad isn't syncing all this back at home...

So after spending time in Averland, I would say that the poster who said Wissenland would be the next expansion was 100% on the mark. Like pre-Averland, you can see the unlabeled towns to the south, plus the roads as well which suggests there is already some work put into it. Going by the lore, cultists are the main threat in the region. I’m wondering though, how it will work with players that haven’t bought the other expansions as Wissenland is some distance from the starting region.

My guess is they would have to use the region travel function.

Also how about an update on everyone's trials and tribulations in averland? My hardcore game is doing much better now that I've adjusted my meta-strategy as I've previously discussed. I got my waywatcher to 7, then shelved her, so now even if every other character dies, I can still get legendary quest rewards from white quests. Which makes raising a team from lvl 1 much quicker, and also a little more fun, for me at least.

I'm rolling two teams now. My main team who I'm using for red quests in Averland consists of marauder (with mortal's bane, until I can find a hammer of sigmar, or they fix it), iron breaker (though I think I'll swap him for troll slayer), and two mages: archmage and bright wiz. So far so good, though I haven't tackled any lvl 7 red quests yet.

My off team is shadow warrior, warrior priest (using prophecy warhammer), grey wizard and irongut. I like to imagine the ogre is the wizard's personal body guard and man-servant, not unlike Bruce Wayne's Alfred... Only 500 lbs and also he's a cannibal. But he does a good job of guarding the healer, Ill have him bring up the rear, with SW and WP at the front, keeping the wizard safely in the middle in case of (inevitable) ambush. So far it's more fun than my primary team, I'm glad I finally found an appropriate vehicle for the irongut. Having blade of nigh and intervention available also helps to offset hit terrible number of attacks.

I have definitely experienced this, and always keep a Rabbit Head equipped. I find that when I don't, I'll get ambushed much more often.

What's a "vanilla dungeon"? I see multiple people talk about this, but I've never heard of it before.

Oh and I finally gave in and bought the game yesterday. I'm loving it! I would like to get some if the dlc characters. Which one(s) is the best?

Vanilla dungeons are simply those on the original Stirland map. They seem to be the easiest even after adjusted to your levels.

I'd recommend the archmage, as a replacement for the waywatcher.

For a straight replacement for the waywatcher, you can't go wrong with the shadow warrior. If you find you really like the game, just get all of the add on characters. I run two different groups at once, and I'm having a great time with it

Wow, underestimated the aver land dungeons. Half the party got webbed, marauder decided to go berserk, being surrounded by 3 tattooed orcs, and this was only the first encounter. I decided to retire my party and start over.

Thinking of trying all the characters this time round. No point leveling so fast when I lack the gold to fund them anyways.

    Damn this game is addictive!

Yeah, this is how I played it this time around. It helped to take my time in each area, building up my equipment and gold before heading to harder quests. This way I didn't actually have much trouble affording to level until the 6-7 range, at which point I was finding a lot of good loot quests and grinding anyways.

Hey guys how do I get the ammo thing for the shadow warrior? The one that lets you shoot elemental types?
