There is a bug with that axe. Unless you'd like to exploit that, it's not necessary. By that i mean there are better axes and hammers await in the expansion. Just have to go through a few more dungeons.

Now marauder6, grey wizard6, bright wizard6, archmage6. Unfortunately, I am broke with no funds to lv the marauder up to lv7. Still doing the skaven quests. A few close shaves but otherwise, everything' still going great.

3 wizards is fun! The ability to deal unmissable damage cannot be underestimated.

How long do potion effects last for? Just 1 turn?

Regarding loot I've noticed that playing always in Averland I 'unlocked' the good ones only when everyone was at level 8 and when I had just 1 quest to go.
Maybe it's just a random thing...but before that I always found cool but normal looking loot.
When I unlocked the last quest and everyone was level 8...all of a suddden I had to take minutes to decide where to go at every crossroads.

    So cool.

do share you experience with 3 casters in the brutal tribe. Much to my dismay, i just lost another squishy archmage today. He was lv8 and equipped with some fine rings and armor i'll never see again.

Taking a wrong way is a disaster, the odds of being ambushed would just rise sky high. No matter how well the warriors are positioned, there's always risk that some one would go down in a poisoned status.

    Eh I know.
I have a stack of like 20 health scrolls of any color always at hand now, sacrifying other items.
Plus...I've come to appreciate high agility and pinning values, to have always at least one char free to cure even if surrounded by spiders.

More than dead ends and consecutive ambushes...the thing I fear the most is what I call the death combo:

    1) Long corridor
    2) Ambushes with shamans and web-spitting spiders.

Whenever I see a long corridor, I try to hide chars around corners and keep them always packed.
But it's damn hard when it happens.

Still...I love it and wouldn't like it to be any different or easier.
Despite deaths I'm enjoying the game a ton more now than ever.
I even thought it could be a problem to replay low level chars...I'm finding myself enjoying it a LOT...much more then expected.

I must say that now it really captures the spirit of the original boardgame.
Rodeo should be proud just for this.

I still can't belive I have the Warhammer Quest experience in my pocket.

One last thing the game is missing here is the achievement board for individual warriors. In the previous games developed by Rodeo, you can view the number of kills and max damage done by a hunter, in Xcom there's a memorial for KIA soldiers. Here in the old world we shall have a tavern where bards sing about the heroes who have given them live in epic battles. Anybody agrees with that?

I usually don't worry so much about poison, if my anyone is going to die, my entire team dies. 100% of the time it's from enemy crowd control shutting down my DPS and my guys just get overwhelmed

Wait are you saying that pinning could affect the chances heroes get webbed and unwebbed?

I can't agree more with you last sentence. I've always wanted such a game on a portable device. Heroes of might and magic and yo-gi-wo come next on my dream list.

well for me the magic users are the first to go down. When they do go down being poisoned, i simply heal them with a scroll and deplete the magic reserve to save the day. But then after the team makes out of the dungeon i have to train a new warrior. Sometimes the hero that has downed the first time would actually be dead a second time because of low health. In that case, all the good stuff is lost with him

I'm not sure and I can't remember if I read that in the ingame journal or it's just something I remember from the boardgame.
I know that if I pump up agility and pinning on my Waywatcher, she seems to be less prone to being webbed.
Could be just my imagination (like bringing around the rabbit heads seems to lend to less ambushes).

    Me me!!!!
Something like a cemetery where you can see your fallen heroes, their loot and their kills could be nice.
I hope Rodeo is reading this.

Glad have someone with me on this, though it's unlikely that they read every post on the thread. You think if we made a summary of the feature we want and twittered them, they might listen?

I'm pretty sure they read almost everything here, EXPECIALLY feedback and requests.
I think the game is now pretty feature fixed and they are working on content (which I like)...but there might be still room for some improvements as always.
Worth a try, expecially considering they already had a similar feature in their past.

    Graveyard would be cool.
I'd like to see a "bank or vault" in the large cities where you could store extra equipment. Maybe even the ability to transfer equipment to your other games/parties. So when I get Purity (or whatever that sick warrior priest hammer: 11-13 dm, crit, and chance to gain attacks) in a game with no WP I could give it to the other game.

If that’s true, hopefully they work out some of the kinks in items like Mortal’s Bane, but also skills that are near useless or need tweaking. To name a few:

Waywatcher: Critical Strike is a single dungeon ability that performs a normal attack. I’ve yet to see it actually crit, and it can miss.
My Suggestion: Make it auto-hit and critical. It is single use after all.
Ogre: Ball Up – I learned this makes the Ogre go into a ball (there is no description) which supposedly prevents all damage for that turn. This somewhat has potential even though it is single use, as in theory you could use a swing to draw agro then go invincible. The problem is certain creatures, like Gigantic Venomous Spiders, appear to bypass the invincibility and do damage as normal.
    My suggestion: Make it work.
Ogre: Ogre Charge – it’s one time use and you need to use it before entering a new area. For 4 movement and 3 strength, that doesn’t really seem worth the chance that the room will be empty, or the monsters not set up to take advantage of the strength bonus.
My suggestion: Make it a passive with a chance to activate every new room.
Shadow Warrior: Encumbrance – I wouldn’t mind this so much if there was more equipment for the SW that didn’t have toughness. As is, it seems more a choice between losing weapon skill or having no equipment.
My suggestion: More equipment with no toughness, or even -X toughness.
Warrior Priest: Vanquish – makes little sense as Intervention seems overall better.
My suggestion: Either have it last more than one turn or have a much higher chance of landing.
Marauder: Hunter’s Eye – this isn’t bad per say, but wow his range attack animation is slow.
My suggestion: I wonder if there is a way to do this that once the ability is activated, the Marauder doesn’t put his bow away until all his shots are used up.

While cool and while we can safely say Warhammer Quest was a 'hand made rules' heaven back in the days...things like those described weren't part of the experience so I doubt they will be implemented without the Games Workshop imprimatur.
A 'bank' could easily destroy the balance of the game too.
Expecially in a game that has in the limited slots (4 per color plus a limited stash) one key 'tactical' point.
