You guys could latter find yourselves struggling with financing the level-ups. It might have been a better choice just to hire new guys. But anyway, when yo start over, travel to Averheim to loot some cool expansion items in vanilla dungeons.
A weird thing happened, maybe for the better. It's only slighly related to Warhammer Quest...but who knows? Maybe has happened before to someone else. I have broken network at home since a week...and I've just noticed on my iPad (wifi, no network) there is a 5 days old save, where my team is still alive On my iPhone, my team is dead. The 'iPad' team is still level 7 and without cool loot, but it's better than nothing and now I'm super curious about last main quest in Averland so I'm impatient. How can I 'push' the iPad save in iCloud? How sync works in these cases? It picks the most recent one? I mean...if I connect the iPad to Internet...will I get the iCloud (Apple) save (all dead) or vice versa (iPad, where I played a bit and made a recent save, will push its save on iCloud)? Anyone with experience with this? Thanks!
So the terrible service of icloud has its merits? I would love to test it for you but my 1st generation ipad couldn't even install the game. But my experience from playing jetpack is that the latest save would be uploaded to icloud regardless of game progress.
There are four white dungeons from Averheim. You can see that the north one has different icon from the others. It's a vanilla dungeon. The worst you can encounter, i mean at lv8, is orc warbosses. At lv 2-3 there would probably be globin bosses with 24 hp only, and a few shamans at most. Nothing you can't handle.
Well I hope so I wrote Rodeo to be sure, not to screw up the regular save. To be honest, excluding Infinity Blade 2 (where I lost 2 over 60 level Siris) I always loved iCloud and always appreciated it. Never had a problem with WHQ too (the above 'problem' is not a problem...I was aware of the broken network and I kept the device disconnected on pourpose). I too imagine the most recent save is uploaded or downloaded....which would work for me.
The game picks the most recent save. So what you would do is first turn on airplane mode on your ipad. Load the game on your ipad and exit to save it (so it now has the later time stamp). Then connect to wireless on the ipad. When you load warhammer on your iphone, it should have the save game from your ipad. I just tried this to reload an earlier savage game from my ipad when my party on my iphone got wiped out (in the name of answering your question, of course...) Yeah, iCloud is kinda wonky in that aspect.

Luckily not. I play with Wifi off whenever I can, to save battery life. Plus, I heard of many similar negative experiences with iCloud like the one described a few posts back, so I avoid it like the plague and I am parano ... cautious ... enough to not trust a game that it suddenly doesn't do some weird iCloud syncing.
Marauder skill "Blood Rage"(?) question Someone mentioned getting a skill called "Blood Rage" for his Marauder a while back,that supposedly helps a lot with recovering HP (Lifedrain skill, I suppose). Mine is now level 8, and I tried maybe 20 times, but always only got the choice between two different skills. If anyone can share if this skill is any good, what it does exactly, and at what level they got it, I would appreciate it. Also, thought: Could it be that you can get new skills that were added with the last update only for characters that you started after updating? And not for those that existed pre-update already in your roster?
Maybe the fact English is not my main language didn't help, but to be clear the problem I described above has nothing to do with Warhammer Quest. When on reliable network, I never had a problem. When my internet had problems/was down, obviously iCloud (being an Internet service) couldn't work so I had the iPad with a save not synced, but it's not a WHQ problem at all.
So here's my advice for wipe-proofing yourself as best you can, from someone who's been there. Thrice. Actually, let's call it wipe insurance. There is no way to completely protect yourself from full party wipes. Anyway, here's the short of it: once you level one character up to lvl 7, stop taking him into dungeons, just leave him on the bench, but do not retire him. Once you have at least 1 lvl 7 character, the game will start to throw you white quests with legendary rewards out of the averland towns. Now you can take your B team (mine was all lvl 1 characters) through these white quests and still come out with a legendary reward. This allows you to gear up your party without risking getting perma-webbed by spiders and wiped. Once you have the appropriate gear, you can safely tackle the averland red quests. Yes, I know it's kind of cheesy, but it works!
@Pitta: I understood you perfectly fine, don't worry. English isn't my native language either, by the way. Seems I didn't make it clear enough that I meant iCloud problems in general, not specific to WHQ. Small rant: which I absolutely don't get. Apple has tons of resources available, so you would expect that they get their stuff sorted out right. I am not a network / storage engineer, but even as a relative layman (well, I work in IT for some years now) on the subject I can come up with a few ideas how to avoid/resolve these problems right off the bat... Anyways, back to the game: What do you folks do with all those nifty orange "use once per dungeon" items, like that Lightning Ring? I find that I really have to struggle to fit them in anywhere, with so much good equipment available for the orange tier. Do you use those? Or do you leave them at home in favour of weapons/armor? And, @Heavnsix: If I understand you right, the rewards for white Quests scale with the highest level in your total party, but the monsters scale to the level of the group you take into the dungeon? That opens up more questions: - do you get high-level rewards for all classes, once one character is at level 7? - or do you only get them for that class? - is there another reward tier for level 8? - does that only apply to Averland, or to the other regions as well? I found some nice orange gear as rewards in the town right north of Streitssen (Averland); Worden I think, which is in Stirland. - when does the enemy scaling get calculated? When you enter the dungeon? Or already when you select the Quest? Then it would scale to whatever characters are active then, i.e. who came out of the last dungeon alive. - if it scales to whoever enters the dungeon: does it scale to lowest, average, or highest level of the active group? I am pretty sure it is not lowest level: When I took my Bright Wizard along to level, everyone else was 6+, and I encountered what you would expect there, i.e. lots of tough Trolls, Spiders, Orcs.
Still no hammer of Sigmar So I've put a little over 60 hrs into my current run through. I've got the bane of mortals sword and some sick chaos warrior (um I mean marauder), but i still have not seen a hammer of Sigmar. I've got the skaven pack and brutal tribe DLCs but I didn't pick up any extra peeps. Do you have to buy the warrior priest to unlock the Hammer of Sigmar?
A chaos expansion would be awesome! There's nothing greater than being eaten by a bloodthirster that ambushes magic and straight up ignores blows! Although battling through a horde of skeletons to kill the lone necromancer hiding in the back was always fun too.
Quest rewards get calculated before you enter the white dungeons, as the stats for any given item is static. The monsters that populate the dungeon get calculated based on who enters the dungeon. I want to say that legendary weapons pop up as white quests rewards in the northern provinces as well, but I think you need either more lvl 7s or perhaps a lvl 8. Also the rewards are random items for all character classes
I just threw lizardmen out there because I saw it mentioned in-game. What I really want is an alternative melee character to the marauder that's either human or was once human. So out fighter, bretonian knight, chaos warrior would all be great. What sucks though, is that it's probably going to be months until we hear what the next characters will be
I still love this game, even if I wimp out by playing Adventurer rather than Hardcore. I don't think I could take the heartache of having my entire band of adventurers wiped out and then building a new team up to the same level. That said, I still need to take the newest members out for some on the job training,
Anyone know if vanish for the shadow warrior is working correctly? I am not getting anymore attacks or moves once I become un vanished.
