i think i found a bugged item for the shadow warrior; got a blue sword from a quest that grants +3 strenght and higher chance to hit from close (i have the name in italian but should be something like "shadow sword"); if i equip it though i loose the capacity to attack from close; i still see my shadow warrior have 1 attack (he's only level 1) but only attacks from far; tried to re-equip it but nothing changed; anyone else found this sword and have same problem?

Actually i have farmed way better items than the IAP legendary weapons. They are useless just as buying gold. If you like to farm, and don't mind clearing dungeons for loot you don't need them at all and that's why i keep telling this but implementing IAP weapons and GOLD in game is such a failure for Rodeo. it doesn't look good for them and they are not even necessary. With heroes and New areas they were already good enough...

    ANOTHER TOPIC:
Has anyone beaten the last quest in the new expansion? The ice throne is simply the best quest i have done in the game by far. Awesome features; biggest dungeon ever; 3 bad rolls all the time and plenty of monsters to kill. I just wish there were better loot at the end.

Now I see why so many are complaining about the skaven expansion after the upgrade. As you know I started a new hardcore game two days ago and leveled them all to lv5. The first dungeon I walked into, I got ambushed 8 times in the very first room. 7 out of the 8 times there was a grey seer among them! WTF?! So the skaven leaders happened to be holding a UN meeting here?

I remember reading it somewhere that there are a maximum of 12 members on a skaven council, including both warlords and grey seers. So I just eradicated the entire magic users on the council?

Anyway I just wanna say it's just too unreasonable. Although my heroes all survived the disaster then priest lost 1 strength permanently.

The way IAPs are not that impressive works perfectly for everyone. For those who hate spending extra they still can loot the best gear and enjoy every minute of the game. Others can get legendary item just by having one less ice cream. Personally I found the staff of volan most effective for the grey wizard.

The last quest is indeed well designed. I love the way how debuffs are added. It really creates tension. Btw I really hate Mork.

Please guys use the spoiler tags for particular locations and quests.

On a side note, sometimes I'm so happy with Warhammer Quest graphics I want to hug personally Rodeo's artists (I wonder how many they have).

As a 2D graphic lover, I find WHQ graphically simply sublime.
In particular I love their use of the color palette...expecially when you enter a room full of Orcs with different armours and shields.
Just found a MAGNIFICIENT black chainmail for my marauder...still looking for a fancy shield (still using the green Bersek tower shield)...but I've just found a cool green shield for my Ironbreaker.

Has anyone found cool shields for the marauder?
I keep finding super cool shields (even one Bretonnian yellow shield with a blue eagle!!!) just for the Irongut.

I LOVE this game...I do hope that their artists will go wild next expansions with colors and cool looking items.

For those of you who end up with a crap load of gold, how do you do that? I never have a surplus of gold as I end up spending the vast majority of it leveling up my Warriors. I try not to buy items (preferring to find them in quests) except for healing, but I am always strapped for gold.

Probably many (me included) just continue playing after being done with the main story line...I started Averland with almost 100K...now I'm at cap and I have 40K...rapidly growing.
I just buy scroll or potions...mostly green (the only free slots I have).

I have always a full stash with 1-2 free slots....so during dungeons I even discard everything I'm not interested in with a value less than 2K.

There is a sword and if I remember well a dwarf skill that double the gold you acquire too.

I mentioned this earlier but it might be worth repeating, get your Dwarf Ironbreaker the Goldmaster skill, this will double the amount of gold they gain when killing an enemy. Couple this with the Goldreaper Axe that gives you a gold multiplier of x2. Now go into any dungeon and let your dwarf go wild and watch the gold come rolling in. The most expensive thing to spend your gold on is training your high level characters. Once that's done I'm sure gold becomes pretty much pointless.

Actually i farm more than i go for the quests. I like going from town to town until i find good items as quest loots. So it takes me a while to complete quests since i prefer to farm stuff rather than rushing the main quests. I have a surplus of 200k gold but while lvling the character it used to go down a bit. Also if you are spending money on shops you are probably not farming enough items. I never bought anything from towns despite rings

    LOL.

While going South with my party to investigate the main quest...at a crossroad I get 3 white quests.

    One better than the other.
Waywatcher Dragon Blade, an ultra cool marauder black triangular shield with red gems and a gold amazing Ironbreaker armour.

    I want them all.

    Ah decisions!!!!

    AMAZING.

There is the Council of Thirteen, but those are the elite members of the ruling class. There are a ton of small clans that have their own warlords and grey seers, so lore-wise you certainly would have crippled one of those.

Game-wise, it is crazy. The Skaven that spawn at the lower levels right now have so much health, generally by the time you nearly clear a room another ambush occurs. It seems to be an issue with the ambush table though, as the initial spawns are usually reasonable for the hero party's level.

There will be a few times as you level up when you are strapped for cash. The leveling cost ramps up very fast. Besides certain skills and items that generate more gold, there are a couple of other things to keep in mind when you want to keep the gold flow coming. One is that the story quest lines have several quests that offer large cash rewards, this makes it worth keeping up with the red quests that you can achieve at your party’s current level. The other is to look at rescue quests. If you are tasked with rescuing the Viscount’s daughter, or a specific name that sounds like nobility, chances are you will receive a generous cash reward upon completion. Essentially, rescuing rich people is good for your wallet.

Well, after 15 hours with the new region and new monsters I must they this game become very boring. My warriors are rigged to the teeth but can't hit monster in about 80% rounds. Also in every battle I got two packs of additional monsters. So little dungeon can be completed in 2 hours. That's very sad, I miss the pace of the first 4 levels, I really liked skaven addon, but this - this state of the game is depressing.

sorry to hear that but you are doing something wrong.
Even in the harder missions i don't spend more than 3 rounds to finish all the monsters...

I actually like that the enemies get reenforcements from time to time. You've got communities of monsters living in these abandoned dungeons -- it makes sense they'd help each other out.

I also find the ineptitude of my party somewhat entertaining. My wizard randomly has no MP. My archer couldn't hit the ocean if he jumped out of a boat. My marauder will gladly off two other party members before offing himself - spontaneously - just because he can. The dwarf is actually halfway competent.

    Little help here...

Hey guys so I remember hearing something about the wizards causing parties to get ambushed more often or something? Does there rolls affect something like that? Is 2 wizards in a party a bad idea, because I am using a bright wizard and a grey wizard and it seems I get ambushed alot... Anyone have any knowledge of this mechanic?
