If you weren't playing alone, it generally ended in a hot debate between you and your friends Many long time friendships were ended because of this boardgame.
I've been playing this so much. I've definitely got the bug, rare that I get this into a game on my iPhone. It's possible there's already been a discussion about this, but what are opinions here about the "ideal party", including all the DLC characters? I've been trying different combinations, haven't quite decided yet, and haven't leveled everyone up to the max yet. Let me know what you think.
I was very clear: a freaking scoring system, just like the board game, full stop. It *should* have a point where you're scored, and then you can either restart, quit, or polish knobs. I don't polish knobs, and I find the current design typical lazy Rodeo design. H:E1 had a lazy endgame, H2 had almost as lazy an endgame, and WQ, has the laziest endgame yet. If you're going to turn a 2-4 player game into a single player experience, you still should maintain the sense of competition.
At the end of every dungeon the winner was the one with the most gold. You get a screen showing kills and experience at the end of every dungeon. Beyond that there was no ending and no other competition. Seriously thinking your upset with Rodeo for not having a "well done the people you saved from the Orcs/Skaven are really pleased" text box at the end of the final dungeon in each region.
I don't get it why your mad, you want me to support the game by buying the dlc and I'm not going to buy dlc if its going to unbalance the game, I'm loving the game and I want more content so let me ask this again,,,,, After I beat the main story can I play skaven or will I be over lvl ed or is skaven a expansion you should buy from the start so the game balances which I don't want to do because I want to beat the main game first.
Seriously thinking you're just going out of your way to miss the point of a 2-4 player game becoming a single player game yet nothing was done to compensate for the loss of one of the major reasons you played the game in the first place: competition with friends. Did you sit around playing the boardgame solo and found it superior to playing with friends, because that's about the only reason I can think of for belittling a perfectly reasonable critique. They removed a major reason to play the game and replaced it with endless knob polishing for people who don't realize they have another 100 apps on their device I've bought and played every Rodeo game at launch, but I wouldn't give any of them higher than a B. Ambitious ideas, solid mechanics, but no follow through. If you leave players having to make up their own reason to play your game (I'm hunting for loot! I'm trying to beat it on hardcore with just one set of heroes! I want to get a perfect set of skills on my waywatcher! I'm trying to justify the $30 I put into this game!), you have succeeded in once sense given that you've made a good enough game that people are enthusiastically playing it, but you have failed in another in that you have shown no vision for what sort of game you were trying to make. You seem to be arguing with me for the sake of arguing, not to establish any particular platform.
According to your own posts you've bought the game twice now. Just read the thread, every question you keep on asking has already been answered, probably in response to a question from you.
You do waffle mate, it's not a terrible idea but its omission isn't really the huge deal you see it as. If they ever add multiplayer support then yes I would see your point completely.
Me and my friends are probably the only ones in the world, but we never ever in many years played Warhammer Quest for competition. Maybe WH40K or Fantasy Battle, but surely not Warhammer Quest, expecially with a master....weird.
OMG this guy should be banned or we could try ignoring him. I'm guessing that the time anyone spent on reading and replying to his meaningless and repetitive posts should worth an IAP weapon!
I'd be surprised if they were planning to add the multiplayer feature. They didn't even cared to do that for the hunter series.
You're not alone, I never played it for competition if it wasn't a one off game, which once we got the expanded rules was never.
Definitely not alone. Honestly, I've played a ton of co-op board games, including a lot of dungeon crawlers, a generally the competition is found in games were a human player controls the monsters, there rarely is a real sense of competition between hero-players. Even the multiplayer aspect of such games is debatable. It's nice to have the option to include more people, but many dungeon crawlers can just as easily have a single player control multiple heroes.
So with the basic knowledge of maybe that Wissenland will be next on the list what do you guys think about the enemies? More skaven? Because it boarders reikland Orcs but different kinds Undead? Beastmen? Or lizardman Hoping for either undead or lizardman
In defense of Deadpan, this is the mindset I see in your posts. Youve used words like logical flaw and lazy several times while failing to clearly establish why your stance is anything more than a preference on your part. This may not have been your initial goal, but it is how you are coming across and why other posters are becoming increasingly dismissive of your responses.
I can't see Lizardmen will make it into the game anytime soon. Lore wise they are too far away. But Beastmen seem like a no-brainer, Minotaurs were even in the original game and Beastmen are a relatively common threat in the South. While I think Wissenland is a valid enough region to expand into, Im really hoping they go north into Sylvania. Not only will this have the obvious inclusion of undead, but it then could segway further north at a later time into Kislev, which would mean Chaos and icy environments. Equally as interesting could be going further east now that we have Black Fire Pass, into the Border Princes. This would probably expand either with Beastmen, or further Night Goblin units. Even further east of this is the Worlds Edge Mountains and the Darklands, meaning Chaos Dwarves, Dragons, and an assortment of other monsters and daemons. Honestly, I think even going west would be more interesting than south, as once you move past Athel Loren, you reach the coast of Bretonnia or the coast of Tilea, either of which could easily include Dark Elf raiders.
Judging from the enemy models so far I think undead is unlikely, most likely beast men if there is a new race. I think the Idol storyline could well be part of a larger plot though so my guess would be to expect more Orcs.
Sigh. Now I'm really hating you and totally waiting for at least 5 new expansions (Rodeo we know you are reading, please take note ) Damn I keep finding cool Bretonnian shields for that damn Irongut. I want them for my Marauder!!!!
