So Ive noticed something with the Ogre I want to confirm. Has anyone actually missed with Wild Swing? I may have just been really lucky so far, but Ive never seen the Ogre miss once with a target in the radius of the Wild Swing ability. If it cant miss, even with the reduction in damage, it may be a better attack at times than a normal strike.
Just found a legendary item for the dwarf iron breaker Lost helm + 20 max wounds + 2 toughness - 2 strength
Anyone fond of the Shadow Warrior? I'm thinking if replacing my Waywatcher with the shadow warrior or bright wizard as I want to keep a ranged character. My Waywatcher is very good but doesn't really have much use ability wise, herblore can be good and doom strike but that's all. I do like the Ogre gear although I haven't tried him yet, the dwarf Ironbreaker is pretty tough but doesn't hold much ability wise either when compared with the marauder or grey wizard.
And now this one for elves Also the grey wizard healing spell that costs 10 winds rocks many of times I have almost one of warriors die and healed back to full health in 1 turn
Pretty much spread across the other characters she was the last one I was building up for greens lol But never mind just lost all my characters due to getting ambushed three times and just spiders webbing my characters and bows from a distance nuking me lol Oh well time to start over
Anyone having a good time with the shadow warrior? He seems really subpar for me so far (at lvl 3 any way). Once he's up to lvl 5, I think he's going to get cut from the main team. Also, my ogre, god bless the fat bastard, still only has 1 melee attack, at lvl 4! Otherwise he's a phenomenal character!
Hello guys, I need help here. I bought the Skaven expansion pack but I seem to have been stuck after completing quest 3. I cannot click on any new city in the new region to keep going with the main quest line. Did anyone have this problem before? Can you please help? Thanks a lot !
Sometimes you have to do a randomly appearing quest outside the city your in which is near the next city you haven't uncovered yet to uncover that city if that's what you mean? I still don't get why we can't chose skills on level up and find I want to start over all because I have no idea how good my characters health ect is as I just took whatever was given to me on the main game and first expansion rather than shutting the game down until I got the 5/6 health per level and a skill I wanted which I did from 6 to 8
Wow. I feel like I've just had a death in the family. My lvl 5 bright wiz got killed, so I recruited a new one and took him on a random quest to start lacking him back up. Entire party wipes. Lvl 5 ogre, shadow warrior (he was finally getting good too!!!) archmage, plus the new guy. Tough pill to swallow
Completely agree - at least make it an option, if you want hardcore randomized skills fine.. For us that don't and want skill choices then at least give the option to do so as thats what many are doing anyway with the restart reload thing. This actually comes into play more now as the difficulty has increased.
So can someone tell me if the Bright wizard has a heal? Or should I stick with the Grey wizard? I really wanna break him off but I'm not ballsy enough to continue Hardcore without a dedicated healer, damn it!
So I've got all the iap characters and started a new game. I have 10 characters avliable after the first levels, what's the best mele / healer team to go for?
Bright wizard has a heal. It's not that great compared to grey wiz's heals but it's better than nothing- until your whole team wipes
Nice, yeah it probably isn't a great idea compromising your main healer. I guess I'll keep him in. Thanks for the response.
Just bought this game, what's the deal about starting over characters or restarting? I don't want to screw up when I make a character :\
The problem with allowing players to choose skills is that then you have to do the essentially impossible job of balancing every skill to an equal power level. Otherwise the end result is a set list of skills that always get picked, and a bunch that people will never touch. In turn this means every hero is the same every game. It is far more interesting to have players work with what they get and develop strategies for random skill-sets. Hoenstly, from the one game I played where I shut the game down while leveling until I had a party full of the best skills, it really reduced the challenge of the game and really the point of playing a higher difficulty than casual.
At level 2 and above you can chose to retire a character and replace it with another level 1 version of that character. It is simply a way to reroll if you really don't like the skills you get or the hero is crippled in hardcore.
but the more spells you cast in a single turn, the more preferable that -1 sp staff is. my grey wizard gets 9-14 power i guess. so an average of 4 night blades or two mind razors is guaranteed. moreover, the shadow dagger now does around 5 damages to 3 enemies for just 1 sp. the cure small wound spell cost only 1 sp as well, which becomes pretty useful in the brutal dungeons if you surround the wizard in the corner with dying companions
