I think you are spot on, my impression too.

For this very reason, while before I grouped my party and took my time healing before entering another dungeon tile, no I tend to cruise towards the target room, planning carefully even the 'final blow' positioning to have an advantage for the next room.
I really love the 'reaction blow' of Crom, my Marauder, so I always try to have him next the next exit even during combat.
I find this (forced) way to play much more realistic too.

If you have two heroes with reaction strike, you can do the following:
When fighting in a room, place one of your heroes with reaction strike on the exit tile to the next room. As long as there is a monster alive whilst moving a hero on an exit tile, no new room will be uncovered. After clearing the room you have one reaction strike hero on an exit tile, still not triggering the new room (as he is not moving). When moving on to discover a new room, move the second hero with reaction strike on the remaining unoccupied exit tile. That way you can get up to two reaction strikes (one from each hero) if there are monsters in the new room. This can be quite handy, as it often gives a free attack when entering a new room.

that didn't work for me before only one hero would take a free swing. tried in the expansion a couple of times, doesn't work either. what's more the shadow warrior can't launch reaction strikes even on his own

My impression so far is that the game is definitely harder. This doesn’t seem to be due to any more ambushes than usual, rather monsters use abilities far more often. Spiders especially web nearly every attack whereas prior they used web sporadically. Personally I welcome it. If I play hardcore, I want to actually have to think about what I do in each dungeon to survive, which now I do. Previously after a few levels and some equipment, the vast majority of the dungeons were cake-walks.

So far I notice a slight difficulty change with web but not much for me yet as most of my characters are level 8 now and have great gear as I grinded a lot afer completing the game before this new expansion.

I'm taking my time though to enjoy it and haven't completed the expansion yet, I'd like feedback on new characters though as I am tempted by them.

Bought the new expansion along with the bright wizard, and the stealthy guy.

Couple issues I'm wondering if anyone else notices:

    - At the start of my turn the game will sometimes exit to the title screen. This has happened 3 times now.

    - Some sounds are much lower in volume. In particular the weapon swinging, firing, hitting sounds.

Keep in mind I've started from scratch and am leveling all the heroes at the same time so currently everyone is only level 3. The Bright Wizard is probably the most interesting as a very offensive oriented caster. I did get a heal with him which is nice to have even though it's expensive to use compared to the other casters, but also I've gotten a spell that debilitates monsters, really nice for big guys with lots of hp as it drains their toughness. The Shadow Warrior's ability to attack again when she misses is great and even works during deathblows. I do find the Shadow Warrior is a lot more ranged focused that the Waywatcher though, and generally her melee is pretty poor. I like the Ogre due to him having probably the most unique loot. However, the one attack thing can be annoying. He automatically gets and area of effect attack at level 1, but it is only useful if the monsters are lined up. He does deathblow though, and can have attacks added by spells and potions, so you can make the Ogre work, it just takes some effort.

Overall I like the new characters so far. I'd say probably the Shadow Warrior is my least favourite but that might change if she starts getting some abilities that don't just keep enemies off of her.

Same here. I just picked up a cloak that grants 2 power so I'm getting 16 power max per turn. That means 4 night blades for my Maurauder and his Hammer of Sigmar!

From what I’ve seen so far, the Ogre’s weapons are specifically for the Ogre. So while there are swords, hammers, etc. that are used for numerous characters, the various spiked clubs, scavenged armour and such that the Ogre uses are for him alone. In addition, there is a new consumable, I think called Chaos Hearts or something like that, which are Ogre only. These damage the Ogre, but in turn damage every enemy caster on screen.

What rant you just said the same thing I said in a different way. It's like buying the game again , meaning double the content. Next time I will be more clear.

Sorry, my mistake. I thought you were complaining about the price. It seems to be a regular theme right now, up there with "Android version".

Yeah, I've also heard of cases where within a few days of a new games release it is stolen and released by someone else. A friend of mine who used to be in the gaming industry told me in a few cases, the pirated version made more money than the original. That would have to hurt.
