Have you tried searching for the developers name (Rodeo)?
Sometimes after an update, there's a delay on automatic updates.
It's out in Denmark, and usually, if it's out here it's out everywhere.

I'm not sure about the exact price in dollar, as I'm from Denmark.
It's 32 Danish kroner which should translate to just under $6 I believe.

Warriors is 19 Danish Kroner which is about $2.50.

Maybe this is just me but is the new legendary weapons are iap only is crapy move, they IMO should be free and be given in a random loot just like the hammer of sigmar

On a positive note good to see the game running even better now on the 4S and looks even better

have a question about the iaps though. the legendary items for sale. if i didn't buy them, would there be drops in the game or not?

So the new characters are not a pack. I knew it sounded too good to be true.

No, the legendary iap-weapons are iap-only. But you really don't need them in the game. There are tons of free new weapons and items (including orange gear) in the update. The iap-weapons are maybe nice to have - especially if you start a new game - but they are really not necessary to enjoy the game.

You have to buy the IAP in order for them to be able to drop. Buying the IAP purchase is the only way you will have access to these weapons. Buying the IAP unlocks the weapons but you still have to find them in game. Hope that helps.

Oh, so you don't get the weapons as soon as you buy the IAP?
    Are you sure about that?

I would hazard a guess that a lot of people buying them expecting to find the weapons in their inventory will be very upset...

In my opinion, it's a bit overkill to even offer weapons as IAP in a premium game like this, it cheapens the game a bit, regardless if they'll be unlocked for drops or inventory.

I'm fine with expansion and character packs, but gear and weapons as IAP's is a very, very bad idea IMO.

That is absolutely wrong! If you buy one of the legendary iap-weapons you can immediately add the weapon to your stash!

I may be wrong, but during the beta I remember that when I bought the iap legendary items they went straight in my stash, no need to find them: I did this with the first beta tough, I do not know if that changed later.

To be honest, I found much better objects playing the game normally (and I didn't liked those legenday items too, to boot)...imho it's a moot point (I still belive all these iap thinsg, items and gold, are more detrimental than a gain for the game...but still...).

But...play the expansion...it's really great with new things here and there that enhance the experience a lot imho.
Plus...the high level balance (if untouched from the beta) is just perfect now.
Getting out a dungeon alive is a real challenge now...and there are DEADLY enemies combos.
The Stone Troll 'insta knock down' attack is something to really fear, before running inside a room thinking to kill everyone easily as before.

They are walking a very fine line with the IAP. None of it is forced and it's absence doesn't handicap you, but the individual way of selling them is squeezing the lemon a bit. If you wanted all available non consumable content including base game, you're looking at around $45 NZD. I've no problem with the expansions, but I'm not really keen on the individual item and character sales, hopefully one day we'll see some bundle options.

why do this to us rodeo games! i just feel incomplete without the most powerful weapons in the game! but having them early in the game would totally ruin it! i guess i'll consider having one or two when i reach cap level.

Welcome to Games Workshop world :)

I know people could not agree and such, but it has been so since '80 and it's really unlikely to change imho.

In their view...they do not sell IAPs or player classes, they are selling you miniatures...
I even think Rodeo had some discussions with them about this, to give them the AppStore/Digital world perspective.

Still...it's their franchise and I do not think their mentality will ever change, as it didn't in the past 30 years.

Said that, I'm perfectly aware of the 'I must have all' compulsion (been there many times)...but as you said...I would say (as WHQ is probably one of my fav games of all time, and I play since the Intellivision) that the only mandatory things are the expansions.
Even if I like the game that much and I bought everything to support them...I'm still playing with the initial characters because they are the ones that I really care and love....as I loved them, as miniatures, in the original boardgame.

Said that...I do hope too they will sell packs and such...and as I said some decision (probably not fully in Rodeo hands) imho are more detrimental to the game than a gain, because it just fuel this kind of (legit) discussion....but it must be said clearly that there is a BIG difference for NEW CONTENT iap and timers/recharges and such iaps.
We can argue to death about pricing...this is a personal matter (Games Workshop aficionados will laugh at these negligible prices...they are accustomed to way different pricing).

Just my two cents...I do not want all this legit discussion to shadow the new awesome expansion.

I do not think they are the most powerful items in the game.
I *THINK* they put those there just because this new expansion is VERY DIFFERENT from the other one.
Here you MUST enter at level 6, or you will be killed in 3 steps.
So I *THINK* they did this to give the impatient players a way to build up chars fast, expecially the new ones, without losing too much time playing in the old regions.
I know everyone will scream when seeing IAPs, but I *THINK* this is the main reasoning.
This wasn't the case with the Skaven update, because it contained (surprisngly) low level quests.
So they were facing a choice...having players restart from scratch every region or letting them continue playing with their beloved chars, raising difficulty.
I'm glad now they went for the second option.

(All that is just a guess on my part)

A minor bug still exists in the game - for the Skaven black quest if you choose to ally with the Skaven assassins, when you land a killing blow with Occam's Razor on any of the grey seers, the game cannot progress - I can select the characters but all of their moves will be greyed out (unselectable) and there's no way to end turn either. I've had this happen every single time I did that move (Occam's Razor to finish off the grey seers) and the only way to resolve this is to restart the game.
