That's how I levelled up the IAP characters when I bought them. Added a different twist to going thought the quests in terms of planning.
Hooked? Do not tell me...I spent all Saturday morning (pretending was my son interest) in the local Games Workshop shop....almost picked up Blood Isle package...and watched a MASSIVE Apocalypse game ongoing.... I was just browsing the AppStore for some Warhammer Fantasy novels too... All said, beside the spectacular Rodeo Games realization....a clever move by Games Workshop (both in licensing the video game and in picking up Rodeo Games).
Do yourself a favor and find the Gotrek and Felix series. You may have to go the blacklibrary.com site for the ebooks, but the first six or so by William King are in omnibus format. Great feel of the Warhammer Fantasy universe.
Holy crap... I hate to say this (as I only played Warhammer once back in high school...), but I had NO IDEA there were books!!! I'm screwed... Maybe I can get a couple months advance pay from work... =oP
Thanks for the suggestion, I already have those Can't find my Sigmar trilogy (was it a trilogy?) books anymore, so I'll buy the ebooks and refresh a bit.
Get the Eisenhorn Omnibus. It's WH40K, isn't about space marines and its still my favorite WH40K piece. Highly recomend
Thanks, I'll look into it. Can't freaking wait for the expansion to land...I can't help but play the game every night (white questing before sleeping has become an habit) so I'm sure one of the two things will happen: 1) I'll kill everyone in my party (I'm now picking the 'Kill XXX quests'...they seem harder). 2) I'll hit the gold cap (heading steadily towards 100K).
How to get Hero of Reikland" achievement? Hi - after some advice, must be missing something obvious. There is the "hero of Reikland" gamecenter achievement which presumably you get by "winning" the non-expanded part of the game. It says to complete all Reikland Red Quests. I've done this (all settlements found and quests completed it says on the map) but still not achieved. This I believe i have done, and also the black quest (Idol of Mork). I got the "one of three" achievement...but unclear what the three refers to. As far as I can tell I therefore "finished" the game but for some reason didn't get all the relevant Gamecentre awards or any sort of celebration so concerned I have missed something. Any idea how to proceed? PS: Have brought the Skaven expansion if that makes a difference, most of the way through that too. PPS: Also super curious as to what lucky rabbits head does. Have carried it around for a while and not really noticed anything. Game seems easy but I think that is probably because I have high level warriors and nice weapons
Reikland is the 'Skaven' campaign region (with Altdorf, the capital). The initial campaign is in Stirland...but, at least for me, that achievement is bugged. SOMETIMES, random, opening the game unlocks an achievement I should have got ages before. It means this, I think: Spoiler You got one piece of the Mork idol...the legs if I'm not mistaken...the shaman in the black dungeon target room throw and break it away, in 3 pieces...he get two and you get the last one, starting the fight...I guess the 1 of 3 refers to that There is no 'ending' screen, if that's what you mean...you just made through another dungeon and carry on, looking for glory, gold and loot The Skaven campaign is a bit more tight with more 'ending text'. It may be my imagination, but since I got it equipped I suffered much less ambushes and events were more favorable than nasty.
The books are reasonably priced. I have lots of the 40K books, but the feel of each book is different so you might want to grab them from a bricks and mortar store where you can browse to see if that particular book fits you. Wasn't there another Inquisitor series or am I mixing things up? Anyway, I enjoyed the Eisenhorn trilogy. Really great stuff.
Do the "decreased chance to be hit by a melee weapon" and "significantly decreased chance to be hit" effects stack?
Wasn't there another Inquisitor series or am I mixing things up? Anyway, I enjoyed the Eisenhorn trilogy. Really great stuff.[/QUOTE] There was the Ravenor series, that follows a few characters from the eisenhorn books and ties in...I liked it a lot. There is also a newer series, with only the first book out so far, called pariah...it follows both the eisenhorn and Ravenor series and puts them against each other... Random question about WQ...I just started a new hardcore crew, and I want to check out the Skaven areas...when is a good time to go through those dungeons? When I took my lvl 6 normal group before, I was jumped by super high level rats and had a long trip through the first white dungeon...
Wish I can see the dice roll and how it determines the chance of hitting. It's so frustrating when miss and miss for seemingly no reason. With the dice roll at least we have some sort of assurance that the miss occured for a valid reason.
If it shows you a roll of 1 how do you know that it rolled a 1 for a valid reason? It might be rolling low numbers for you for an invalid reason.
You know what, I'm with you on this. Maybe we're just odd though. Even just a little dice at the top like in Talisman would be nice.
I think it should show a pop up comparing the weapon skill for your heroe and the enemy. That way you get some idea of the starting chances. I'm saying this because doesn't the weapon skill difference contribute to the chance?
That information is already accessible. The problem is there is no stats attached to it.What is our default chance of landing a hit? How much does equipping a "significant increased chance of melee success" item adds to the default chance? Maybe we don't need a dice roll, but some figures would be nice.
Yeah, personally I dont feel showing the dice is a necessity. However, at the least it would be nice if the journal explained things a bit more clearly. Weapon Skill feels fairly self-explanatory as the higher it is the more chance you have of hitting, but it would be nice to know a general % range. It also took me a while to understand how strength, toughness, and certain abilities like slam worked. These are important as they are stats on items and understanding how they function basically determines how you judge one item from another. Even items that give a description along the lines of, gives a higher chance of hitting with would have been better served stating gives +X weapon skill and then give players an idea how much accuracy each point of weapon skill offers. Still, it doesnt majorly detract from the game for me. I doubt there are many situation where I wouldnt have attacked a specific creature have I known more detailed info. But it definitely would be nice to know a bit more when Im choosing between two pieces of equipment that both seem around equal but may actually have big differences.
