That's what the Rodeo-guys been asked on Twitter: "@kinghfb: @RodeoGames Can we expect the best class as the new WHQ DLC? (I am of course talking about the Witch Hunter)"

And here is their answer: "@RodeoGames: @kinghfb we really can't say! However, if all goes to plan this year he may well make an appearance! Shhhhhhhh! #NoPromises!"

Yeah it can be brutal (wait till you hit level 5-6 and are surrounded by Warbosses and shamans!!!) but it's much more fun and tense.
And they set things and rules that it's not that frustrating.
Lets say you are level 5 and you lose 2 characters.
You will recruit new ones...you can then do some low level red quests or white quests and have your low level characters always take the last killing blow on enemies (your high level characters will have no problems).
This way your low levels chars will level up fast...and the rules are made so you HAVE to play them at least 1 dungeon per level (because you can train them only in settlements)...so you can be accustomed to eventual new skills (skill tree are randomized and can be pretty different).
This make the game more variated and let you create a party you are very confortable with (fav skills and such).
Simple but very effective...unfortunately this is valid only in hardcore.
I guess the vast majority of people will only play adventurer and will never see any variation.
Then...you will have your dream team party at level 6 you will cuddle as your sons....

I know I'll play next expansion hardcore only.

BTW I'm finding more and more cool loot...but now I have a big problem.
Some more efficient loot is plain looking...while I found some really cool looking loot, not that efficient.
    Look or efficiency? :)

Tough question, but in the end i will go for effecienzy. That's why i didn't use the tower shield you mentioned - i cannot stand it to lose three points of toughness an my Marauder.... He needs every point!

Yeah but it adds 1 melee attack!!!
    And it's sooo pretty!!!! :p
Plus...it's really cool looking when paired with the black berserker sword (add another melee attack).
The limited colored slots really give you hard time for choices.
    Ah.....#firstworldproblems.

I really hope they will add TONS of unique looking items in next expansion.
It's clear that Rodeo graphic devs know their stuff (it's IMHO on elf the best looking games I ever saw...but. Love 2D and hate 3D FPS).

I have a feeling that we'll see a lot of new weapons and armour now that all of the core content is in, with the new equipment using both old and new models. The other thing I'm looking forward to is new random encounters and events; because these are mostly just text and don't require new artwork, we should hopefully see a lot more of these, as they'd be relatively quick to put together and help add variety to the game.

    I hope so too.
As for events, I think they are bound to stick with the Games Workshop material/approval so they can't go really crazy there (tough I really hope for a lot more).

It's incredible how much I love this game...my secret hope is that they even find out a method, when they have tons of tiles already in place, to push a new story quest every 1-3 week (not via update, a sort of online mode) and a 'buy everything button'...like a yearly fee or something like that.
I know I would pay and Warhammer Quest will never leave my iOS devices.

More unique loot and new story quests (with unique target room graphics).
Well...and traps....secret passageways (I remember a white dwarf article about rules on secret passageways...they were optional but added soooo much)....possibly (but I do not know about Games Workshop here)....castles interiors and...who knows...some kind of forest setting (bound by thick trees to mantain the narrow passages rules).
Possibilities are endless....I can only dream....

Oh...and ton of unique new enemies of course....

    :)

    LOL!!!
    I love your gifs!!!

    Lets pray all together!!!
The base game is already set and IMHO stellar...possibilities are endless now.
I really hope it will supported by Rodeo Games, Games Workshop and of course gamers (because no money, no support...let's be realistic here) for a long time.

Icing on the cake...Rodeo Games interpretation of the boardgame will be such a great money success that it will 'force' Games Workshop to do the unspeakable.
    Reprint Warhammer Quest boardgame.
It will be, of course, delivered to every buyer by an elf mounting a unicorn bearing Sigmar sigil....

Speaking of dreaming, I would love more 'furniture' in the tiles.
They already have 'blocking' tiles in place (there are some tiles with 'holes', some tiles with the central two coffins and some target rooms with statues on the walls that sometimes cover the line of sight of ranged weapons characters/spells) so it's technically feasible.
They even have blocking but not line of sight blocking tiles too (like the two coffins room).
So I would love to see some furniture in abandoned dungeons...these Orcs and Skavens would sleep somewhere....
Of course...every furniture could hide some perils...and some loot.
And this could give more variations to tactics (hide behind something?).
I'm not talking about modifying rules (can't remember if something like this was ever in the rules, official or not)...just some graphical flavor and possibly the opportunity of new nasty things to happen or cool loot to be found.

I was looking back over the original previews for WQ, and it seems a handful of things were actually removed before the final release. I wonder if the upcoming expansion (or future ones) will be adding those back in, because some looked quite interesting gameplay-wise.

Shadow Warriors are High Elves: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440062a&prodId=prod2000073a

    Lore:
“Even in times of relative peace, the Shadow Warriors are never at rest. They constantly patrol the barren shores and bleakest hills as they watch for the inevitable Dark Elf raiders; the evil Druchii who sank their homeland beneath the waves and who slaughter their kin. It is little wonder then that battles between the two races are bitterly fought with no quarter asked or given.
Tainted by their association with the Witch King and the violent madness of Aenarion, the survivors of Nagarythe are a very different type of Asur. Since the destruction of their lands, they have been a rootless people, drawn to fighting and unable to settle down to more peaceful tasks. They are intense and brooding, proud and warlike, and this has made them little trusted by their fellow kin of Ulthuan. Despite this, they are among the most loyal subjects of the Phoenix King and the tales of their daring and dangerous exploits are many in number. It is an unusual Elf indeed who has not heard of their valour. Though they are wilder and perhaps more vicious than the rest of the High Elves, it is because of their truly tragic past rather than innate cruelty. Given the bitter and war-wrecked times through which they have lived, this is a flaw that is easy to understand. Even so, there are those in the court of Ulthuan who whisper the long war has left the Shadow Warriors more like their Druchii foes than they would dare admit.
The leader of the Shadow Warriors is the so-called 'Shadow King', Alith Anar. Alith was the youngest son of House Anar, who rose to prominence in the Sundering. His destiny was sealed after the Battle of Dark Fen: At this battle, a force of vastly outnumbered Nagarythe warriors loyal to Caledor I fought against Morathi's private army. After his father, Eothlir, was killed by Morathi's general and the loyalists routed, Alith led the survivors back to his family's castle, only to find Malekith had attacked it in his absence: Dozens of the elderly, women, and children had been slaughtered without mercy. Alith also learned from the few survivors that his grandfather Eolaran had been taken to the dungeons of Anlec on Malekith's orders: He was never seen again. At this, Alith and his warriors swore an oath they would never rest until the Witch King and the Dark Elves were destroyed: Thus were the Shadow Warriors formed. Alith's exploits against the Druchii are legend. Most famous is the tale that he sneaked disguised into the court of Naggarond, danced with Morathi under Malekith's nose, then escaped Naggaroth after stealing the Stone of Midnight, a flawless diamond given to Morathi as a wedding gift by Aenarion. Tales like this give the Shadow Warriors hope in the long war. They claim that Alith is still alive and continues his fight against Malekith and the Druchii.” Source: Warhammer Wiki

In Warhammer Online they had various stances and special arrows, how Rodeo Games choses to interpret them is anyone’s guess.

After keeping up with this thread for the last week, and having some pretty bad physical/health issues ATM I've turned to WHQ to help pass the time and try to take myself even just a little bit away from intense pain...

Alright... I knew this game was something special, but until being convinced after the last couple pages to start from scratch on Hardcore difficulty (after putting 25 hours into Adventurer), I'm now pretty sure this is going to snag my GOTY vote. It was clear that Rodeo knew what they were doing when the first Hunters was released and that they had a lot more great ideas as shown in Hunters 2 (which is also another game that will never leave my iDevices...), but now that I've put about 7 hours into Hardcore here and hitting level 5 (it took a little longer than I think it should have because I've been reading all the lore/encyclopedia stuff for EVERYTHING and taking my time being incredibly immersed in everything), Warhammer Quest is now probably one of my favorite games of all time. This will definitely be one game that I know I'll remember incredibly fondly for the rest of my life.

I am planning on getting the extra warriors this next week, and just purchased the first expansion before coming here to write this post... It's so great knowing that even more is on the way and hearing that it's possible to get well over 100 hours out if what's already included.

I just wanted to join in the praise here and also say thank you to those of you who have been pushing Hardcore recently. It really takes the game to an entirely new level and the immersion level skyrockets as well, which is something I really... REALLY am absolutely thankful for at this point in time but that I will also have a very hard time taking for granted in the future. So yeah, thank you. And Rodeo, if you're reading any of this, i don't feel like simply saying thank you is enough... But I'm at a loss as to what else I could say to express my gratitude to your entire development team for creating this beautiful masterpiece. So... ... Thank you, so so so very much.

I'm about 9 hours into this game and my guys are levels 3-4. I have to say that the game gets better and more varied as I get farther along.

I will agree that the only way to play this game is the hardcore mode. The other modes are just too easy and lack suspense.
