I wish there was a way to buy IAPs without having to download the app first. I buy all apps on sale and cancel before the download begins.
Yeah, I sometimes do that with games but it is a bit of a false economy as I would end up never playing them. I did that with the 3 'Anomaly' games and they have just been squatting on my purchased list doing nowt.
Well sht. I had already spent over $30 on this game. Now I have almost everything except the weapons (i.e cheats). Thanks for the heads up. Easily my most expensive app (including all IAP) ever, but I feel as though it's well worth it.
XCom is at 50% discount now. You can take advantage of that if you don't have it. I paid full price for that one and it was well worth it
Yeehaw! Got a $15 iTunes card and got all the non-weapon (and non-consumable) iaps for this game and still had a few $$ left over. Now I can finally play this game without feeling like I am missing half of it.
So I enjoyed this game but hated the IAP pricing, I almost bought brute tribe when it was 5, but is brute tribe worth it for 99 cents just the orginal 4 people?
Are the Brutal Tribe and and Hidden Threat worth getting, is it more of the same? I realize the Necro and Vampire Dungeon packs are completely unique, so I don't mind purchasing those, just wondering about the other two. I mean Brutal Tribe and Hidden Threat are region packs, and Necro and Vampire are Dungeon packs, so whats the biggest difference? Also which legendary weapons do you recommend as the best purchases?
Warrior Priest has some good spells and also life restore abilities. I use him as a front tank with the Marauder, as I didn't like the original dwarf. Cannot comment for the troll slayer dwarf though #
Shadow Warrior was my personal favorite. I tore through the game with a party consisting of the Shadow Warrior, Elf Waywatcher, Grey Wizard and Bright Wizard.
Personally I'd pick up both expansions as they have new quests and new enemies, which scale to the max level, but I'm not sure about the inclusion of new tile sets; anyway, they're definitely worth a buck. As far as the weapons I'd skip them all.
Just finished picking up all the DLC for $4 (or the rest of it, as I previously bought everything at full price except the undead stuff). The only things I'd pass on given a second chance are the legendary weapons, the Ogre, and the Archmage. Every other piece of DLC is well worth getting. Actually, I take that back, for a buck it's worth getting all the extra characters.
I was actually planning on buying all the characters (I want to try maxing out all of them, no matter the difficulty) and am still thinking about getting the weapons as well. They don't look too overpowered in the end and might be helpful for weaker parties. I just have a question: what happens to iap weapons if the character carrying it dies? Do you lose the weapon you paid for as well?
Nope, you can reequip IAP weapons after you die. You just have to add them to your stash again. That's the best part about the IAP weapons, you never really lose them and you never have to find them. But that's also the worst part about the IAP weapons, they're a bit of a cheat. Part of the fun of the game is the thrill of finding a great weapon, as well as the risk of potentially losing it.
I got it when it was ten bucks too. I already own it on the 360 (the new one too, enemy within) but I wanted to have it on mobile too. Might never play it but I have to encourage devs when they release such efforts.
Why do people not recommend the IAP weapons? They don't seem too overpowered (looks like there are even better weapons in the game) but they are still good. The bow seems to suck but I don't know about the others.
I do recommend them if you're new to these games. I'm having a great time with them. Seems that if you already have experience with the game, they just make it easier.
