WHQ is much better than Hunters1 which was a little loose, although Hunters 2 was pretty solid. As for WHQ and XCom, gameplay-wise, like SV pointed out, i'd give it to either of them. Both are pretty good at what they offer. WHQ preserves the original mechanics, while giving it the video game feel. Rodeo Games did a fantastic balance of these aspects of the game to make it appeal much to both fans of the physical game, and the ones who just enjoy good strategy games on the touchscreen. Theme-wise (very subjective, mind), i'd give it to XCom because "sci-fi rocks my world."
