Good afternoon all! Only 4 days to go now!! @Aurelien.L, the base game will be $4.99. This gets you four Warrior classes, the 10-part Middenland campaign, events, random dungeons, loads of enemies and hundreds of weapons, armours, and items. There will be other content to buy on launch. Pretty much the same dlc structure as the first Warhammer Quest... we'll be dropping some info about all that tomorrow!
So wait, 4 WARRIOR classes available? So no support, caster, archer, or rogue etc classes available in the base game? I mean....whi wants an all warrior class team. We have to spend money just to have a balanced team to play the base game content?
In the first Warhammer Quest, all classes were called "Warriors". I'm assuming the same for the new game. I'm sure there will be variety among the four Warriors.
So as release is in a few days does that mean you can share the list of classes with us both on release and dlc? Then at least I can start thinking about my team composition a little.
Fear not, you dont have to spend any money. Perchang already announced the starting playable characters and Benjamin outlined how you can personalize your party as you wish in this very thread. I dont want to give away any surprise but the more you play and complete quests, the more you can personalize your characters with tons of options letting cover them whichever role you wish. Actually I think the system is really brilliant, I like it more than the original WHQ, where roles where pretty much defined by the class.
How have you found the levelling up process? Does it feel good or does it feel like you can get a bad roll and want to re-load to try again like in the fist game? I think the last they said was going with a system where you get a choice when levelling up but then stats were still random weren't they?
I like the system a lot, but Ill let Ben spills all the details, sorry For reference I liked the original WHQ too (but I like this one much better).
I don't mind spending money on something good and fair, just woulda been disappointing to buy the game for $5 then have to spend more to get varied classes etc, rather pay $7.99 and get choices and balance etc. good stuff to know though, thanks. Just bc certain things were outlined didn't necessarily mean they would be free or base game vs extra etc unless he specifically said such.
Last time you didn't have to pay to get more varied classes you could already have a normal D&D team composition from the start. IAP just increased those choices, maybe has a class you'd prefer personally or you may be happy with the starting ones. I also believe the IAP come with tilesets and enemies too.
