Guys anyone knows if the game is optimised for iphone x? I noticed that it is cut at one side of the screen.
Ok!!! Fresh news from the guys from perchang! They are working on an iPhone X update which will be available in the next few weeks! These guys are super fast. They answered through games feedback option after 1 hour
More damage questions Hi all, I found the post early on from Perchang about how melee hit Damage is calculated, but I never saw how Bow, Pistol, and Staff Ranged Damage is calculated. Has this been discussed yet?
Just took it for a spin on my X, screen support is in though if i had the notch in my left hand a bit of the main menu buttons was clipped behind it.
I was just about to post the classic Our soon are different then Perchang Twitter posted TOMORROW which is my kind of soon!!!! Awesome!!!! Debating if starting over or continue with my last group...I might start over if besides new content there are tweaks in the gameplay too.
YESSSSSSSSS!!!!! Just read the announcement!!!!!!!!!! They added a TON and more important....in dungeon ambushes!!!!!!!!! This changes everything!!!!!!
Time to make some room and reinstall....yay!!! # I have been anxiously waiting for the Feb patch since it was first anounced and now it looks like it's almost here! This is going to be a long, long, one day wait.
The Lords of Khorne!!! New enemies, 3 new classes, new items and skills, new environments, a new (hard) campaign, many new additions to the core game like in dungeon ambushes (which changes everything)....they werent joking when they said they were in for a long term support. Looks fantastic. Cant wait to see the chaos warriors but I think Ill restart from scratch. https://youtu.be/Amd9OEx0ev0
Yeah, I really hope this fixes the dumbing down of the game that occurred from WHQ1 to WHQ2. I agree on the time to reinstall and find out.
Trust me... after how some of the testers raved about how good the game was in beta, I was shocked after i bought al the content and started playing. It was like no one at the developer had tested the game. So many absurd choices and mechanics were there and it was lacking so many quality of life issues. (Default pathfinding was to set yourself on fire?!?). And the super duper fanboys tried to justify it. My take after 20 minutes starting a new campaign and buying the Wardancer and Ogre... WTF does that Wardancer randomly pirioutte? Seriously? I know the lore. I get that the troupe would dance and whirl into combat. But he literally just spins in a circle constantly as his static animation. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Have not seen a single random encounter. Not sure if they are coming, if they only exist in the new campaign, or if you need to reach a certain point. Look. I get that WH1 ambush system was a little over the top at times. But taking your sweet old Time with not a care in the world is so anti climatic and takes away both a sense of danger and dumbs the game down. Its also just kinda stupid that even if you wanted to avoid ambushes you could have monsters that called back up to a fight if it went on too long. I was hoping for a huge list of fixes, but Im left guessing whats there and what isnt. I mean, at $2.99 per new character and $4.99 for the campaign, I was really really hoping that they would fix the issues and not just continue to milk the license. I know you still cant freaking see what locations are in a city from the overland map?!?! I also know that the 1 ap jump skill for the Wardancer lets him move 8 squares over any terrain...
Started up my old game from a month ago after installing this patch. Middenland Act 3. Level two characters. I was happily fighting a couple of spiders when a random encounter occurred. Suddenly surrounded by another six Puppet Villagers (Zombies)! Easy peasy fight had suddenly become a fight for survival.
Still havent seen an ambush. Gold is still hard to come by, except now you can sell characters (this needed to happen), which the game calls items. It also just dawned on me that after the amazing sound engineering in Deathwatch, its a bummer that every sword, bow, gun, is just the same recycled sound. The Wardancer does not make a unique sound when jumping 8 squares over huge chasms, nor nor do his duel wielding swords. The Ogres charge attack makes no sound at all. . The dudes he runs through just kinda jostle a little as he passes. Mobs still dont drop money or loot. So you are still left with this insanely hollow feeling of getting 3 cards at the end of a dungeon. Oh look, 50 gold, a dagger, and an elf. Well, at least I can sell the elf into slavery for 400 gold Deathblow can still occur when you attack and miss a single mob. Which obviously makes no sense as there was no; deathblow. Lets just say they were too lazy to come up with a new name for a stupid new mechanic that is just a random chance for a free attack against any other mob. The real problem is that Deathblow as a game mechanic was meant to require some forethought and strategy. You had to pick which order to move your guys. Had to get them in position to maximize the effect of getting to hit an adjacent mob if you landed the deathblow during your normal swing. There was never a ton of tactics in WHQ, but we have had the few of them that existed stripped away and not replaced with anything. If it was meant to play as a leaner, faster, pretty, cooler WHQ, that would be fine. Certainly the art is great. But the. Why not make it look good, sound good, and play like a kill the hordes beer and pretzel game? As my posts when the game was released were not intended to just mock the game, neither do these. I was an amazing game. I paid for all the extra content. I gave them a pass when it first released hoping that the influx of cash would allow them to rework a lot of the missing elements. But it feels so.... half assed still. Other than the Uber fanboys here (and I want to be one, I really do) there were dozens and dozens and dozens of great suggestions on the 70 pages of comments to help bring back some of the nail biting and coolness and pizazz of Deathwatch and WHQ1... buy almost none of those suggestions were taken. Im still left wondering if the guy that understood game mechanics at Rodeo is not part of the Perchang team, and if this is a result of the art department forming Perchang...
I have been playing for a couple of hours now with the new patch. I have not yet bought any of the new characters or the new territory, so my comments are in regards to the content of the original WQ2 with all the iaps (which I have purchased). I unfortunately have to agree with everything that cyllwynn has posted in their last two posts, except that I have had a few random encounters, which is about the only positive I can comment on. It seems to me that Perchang has simply ignored almost all of the suggestions and feedback from this forum and have devoted most of their time into adding a whole new area and three new characters. All of coarse requiring money to have. Which I would have been more than happy to purchase. I actually have 20 bucks burning a hole in my account and was going to immediately purchase everything new. Luckily I saw cyllwynns posts before I purchased and decided to just play for a while to check the new patch first. Because the gameplay is still exactly where we left off before this patch I am keeping my money. I can really relate to cyllwynns last comment; I'm a really disappointed wannabe fan boy. #
As I saw that an update would be released today I was pretty sceptical. Well, I was pretty sure that I wouldn‘t buy any additional content because this game needs rework of core elements which probably won‘t happen. I dislike the level up system so much for example. I never leveled up any hero and didn‘t lose any mission or random encounter of the first campaign. Well, at least I will play the second campaign for the first time which I bought months ago. I hope after implementing ambushes it will keep me interested for a short time. Regarding the new content: Big pass (edit: I won‘t buy any new content at all but especially not for such a price)
