Crash from worldmap - traveling without moving All seemed well, got to play about 10 hours, but now I too got a glitch that crashes the app. After finishing a mission, I'm sitting on worldmap, and as I click locations, either I instantly arrive to whatever I click without traveling or moving on the map, or the game crashes. I was able to even do a mission like this - traveling without moving - but this changed nothing. So I can't travel on the map anymore and half the locations crash the game when clicked.
Iphone 6+ with 10.3.2 here and have not played a single mission uppon launch nor after patch....exactly the same as pre patch as far as im concerned.
Im on iOS 11 with a 6S+ and didnt have a single crash pre-patch. I experienced my first crash today after the patch.
Played the game almost immediately with EC, Slayer, GG and the elven mage (HE not dark). Bought all the content. While it might require a few more environmental assets, I would like to see some kind of different terrain and setting for the Ambushes. Those fights are typically one room from what I've seen. Seems like it would give a much different feel to have it set in an open road (or something different) with enemies coming from one to three sides against you (depending on the difficulty). Get a change of scenery and being in the open wouldn't matter as there isn't any real exploration to these encounters. I really like these though, with the randomness and the feature that you use as few as one character, it spices things up and makes for a welcome change of pace. The way the monsters come at you is off. I tend to turtle monsters, unless they're too many archers, and they rush at me one at a time like Ninjas in an 80's movie. It would be more difficult and make more sense if they came at you as more of a mob (not like there are that many AOEs to blast them to pieces if/when they do) Someone mentioned missing the "random" encounters. I don't. The high frequency and often frustration of them in the original is what finally put me off of it (with one time having like 4 rounds in a row spawn more monsters). Perhaps a feature with the ability to rest to heal up but sparking a potential to have a random encounter might make sense. As it stands, sometimes between fights I just sit around waiting for timers for spells and bandage items to run down as I slowly heal my crew. I'd probably forgo that and risk a fight sometimes. The Great Sword was described as pointless and now that I've played the game, I understand why. It seems like a very watered down version of the Empire Captain, with far less items and abilities at it's disposal. Each class does have it's own feel, especially as you play along, but without some kind of special ability (perhaps the Great Sword uses one less AP when wielding weapons) these two seem very similar, with one being obviously inferior (and costing money at that) So far I'm to the 5th city in the main adventure and I think 3rd in the Skaven lands. The Skaven areas seem far more difficult, which I like and am grateful for. Line of sight for the ranged units *IS* very frustrating, not explained well enough and seems overly restrictive. I'm sort of getting used to it but even with 12+ hours in I have trouble guessing who I will be able to reach (I restarted once and take my time with side quests if anyone is wondering why I'm not that far into the game) Some abilities seem off. I'm not sure I notice the abilities that are supposed to ignore armor, although I'll be able to test that for sure once I run into some more Stone Trolls with my Slayer. As it stands, my Slayer has a Great Axe, Master Rune of Alaric and Monster Hunter passive. He's hitting trolls for 12, 13, 14... in that range. Seems like something is off, with x2 damage and no armor he should be tearing them to pieces. EDIT: just fought one. Critical hit it for 4 damage, so it seems like the x2 is working but not the armor reduction. Non critical hits were for 1 (they're 100% against slashing) Overall, very solid game. Even as it is, I think it's the best Dungeon Crawl IOS game I can think of. Superior to the excellent original.
Ok. Played a first game for about 4 hours until it started to crash on loading. Started a second run and played for 2 hours on the phone an then continued for about another 4 hours on the ipad until the same loading crash issue occured. Tried it again on the phone. Suddenly its at the save state I stopped playing at the phone. When I now returned to the ipad its the same state as my phone is. So 4 hours of playtime are just lost. You really have to be kidding me. Refund for me and thats it with WQ 2. thanks for nothing.
Im mildly optimist that we will see outdoor tilesets some day. Ive asked the very same several times. Second campaign is way more difficult (as it should, as ideally you do that after the first) Dont exaggerate with white quests if you like difficulty. Know that AFTER you complete everything white quests gets better and way more difficult imho. Way better than the first game. Also tons of items appear...so you have always something new to do.
Did the music guy not realize a battle in this game lasts longer than a commercial? The battle theme is a minute long God aweful loop with a clear beginning and end. Just over and over. It's annoying. It's a pile of corn, and then a minute later the pile gets bigger and then a minute later etc.
Ok, so paid a decent amount of gold (1,800) to buy a hero because I liked the equipment. I remove the equipment from the hero to move it to another and it just vanishes. Can't find it to equip, it is not there when I try to sell. Just gone.
Seems the crashes are getting worse and not better, based on what I have read and seen. Sadly when a developer has a set date in mind and something like this happens, no matter what app/program it is, the bad publicity always comes to bite the developer in the butt. Hope Perchang next update fixes the issue or at least gets closer to a resolution. Hopefully they can reach out to customers with these crash issue to troubleshoot the reason for the increase in crashing. Since bad publicity is always hard to get rid of namely if it lingers....
Just wondering what team composition you all go with? I was trying the bloodknight, archer, sorceress and high elf is it? But so far the high elves staff is terrible generally doing 1-2 damage so I've had to swap back to the captain for now.
Does anyone know where we can submit feedback or suggestions? I really wish they had of brought over the terminology feature from the first game. For those of who need a refresher on how the stats translate, as well as descriptions of the weapon damage types (slashing vs crushing vs piercing, etc). I have a rough idea, such as I assume that piercing bypasses armor. Given the various stats and the expensive purchase costs of items, it'd just be nice to know more about what my options are.
Where IS Ben btw? Maybe I missed it but I hadn't seen one response or post from him concerning the fact lots of us still crashing even after patch. I still have yet to even get past the story dialogue text etc. It seems this crash bug is far from being the only problem too, Inreally do wanna play, but I am getting closer to refund =\
Lets see... I first went with the default team of Captain, Bloodknight, Gladeguard, Sorceress. First two as melee, second two as ranged. Went pretty easy, wom the Middenland campaign without difficulty. Next playthrough was 4 Captains: first all melee, again no problem. When I found Explosion Pistols, I couldnt resist and made two of them ranged: total murder, won Middenland and Reikland way too easily, not even Trolls or half a dozen Minotaurs were a threat. At some point - I think halfway through Reikland, I noticed that one of my melee Captains was kitted like a Greatsword. So I swapped him to give the Greatsword hero a try too - yes, he works, but hes too much like a specialised Captain and falls short compared to him. Current game is Sorceress, Mage, Gladeguard, Slayer. All geared for melee; only the Sorceress still has her starting staff for ranged attacks, but I want to swap that out for melee now too. Yes, it works, but its more difficult than with e.g. Captains as they are all so squishy or, different perspective, its the first time I feel challenged by the games difficulty: I really need to play very careful so they dont get overwhelmed.

Also no, Piercing damage does not bypass armor, its a regular damage type like Slashing and Crushing. Ive seen at least one skill (for the Slayer) that bypasses armor / damage resistance though. For me oryginal characters, no dlc. Dark elf does average damage, but with freeze spell she is wonderful. Captain is little tanky with small sword and shield, but with explosive pistol he is a beast! Vampire is my core damage against big mosters, but im dissapointed with krell axe, warhammer is way better. Archer can sometimes make miracles! But sometimes sucks. I find bow (dont remember name) 8-8 dmg, one shot, 2ap - best bow for me so far. Overall im little dissapointed with character develop, random bonus sucks - i hope for some talent tree. Inventory sucks, lots of heroes on team, cant kick them out and leave core team + kamikaze for events. I think there is huge room for improvements! When i compare this game to WH1 i can see diffrences, graphics is huge plus but interface, items, heroes, spells - this is way better in wh1. Why there is no legendary items in wh2? Why there is no spells, skills - besiedes this i can buy. I play with vampire and what? Why he can have some passive drain blood/hp when dealing dmg or regenerate like vampire do. I want wh1 with wh2 graphics and more content!!
On crashes: Don't be too upset. Yes, it sucks but don't throw in the towel. They've already fast paced one patch, they're probably working through the weekend on more fixes. It might be unstable for some right now but my guess is with weeks, or days, it will be much better. If you're having trouble, put it aside and try it in a few days
