Make this game combatible with iphone 4 please. I was so excited and then i downloaded it and i got an error aaying im not combattible
Not sure I understood the Effort Option properly. During the Tutorial I had to end a go to reduce my Effort to zero which gave me an extra turn before the opposition. So is Zero Effort better than high Effort?
Thanks man WHQ... I totally pulled that number out of my ass, but I just looked and it was $36 if you got all of the add-ons (and worth every cent). I was so amped for this one, then so bummed that I almost went back to WHQ and started a new hardcore run. If the game were $2-$5 I might agree that we shouldn't expect the world and just role with it. Although I would also say the Dev should have scaled back on the scope to make better gameplay. BUT, even if you use the two promo codes and ace the first 3 missions, you would have something like 8,000$. If you unlock one of the other decks for 5k, you can make a rare or two in the forge, or get a couple boosters with the other free 3k. THEN when you hit level 6 or so, and your leader is level 4ish, to his first 3 skills for those two decks you got for free will run you ~12,000$, another 5k to get the 3rd deck, and maybe a booster or two by the time you hit level 4 on the 5th or 6th mission. You only made 4k from missions 4 and 5, and if you wanna go back and grind you make like $300 each play through.... So I would say it is reasonable to say that most people will be looking at needing huge amounts of currency just by the 5th mission and the 15k you need for those skills and a booster is selling for $19.99 USD. ...So no, I think if you are going to try and charge a WHQ price, a game made by like 5 guys in the UK, then you better make a WHQ level game. And I would say that is why those guys charged like $2 for their first two games. I totally agreed that it was a little rough but fun for a little while.
Huh? I'm a lazy piece of crap because if I want to know who moves next I don't want to have to scroll around the map and tap on all the guys to see their fatigue level, and then put all of them in order in my head? That does actually sound a lot better than the game showing you a little dynamically updating list, line, infographic...lol I have been pretty nice in my critique actually. You want VALID complaints instead of ones about a total lack of streamlined interface? Ok: The marines can move through one another which adds countless wasted moves while you try and get into place, BUT line of sight doesn't actually matter at all seeing as how you can shoot a GIANT Las Canon right through one another with no problem? The AI literally will sit and watch you kill their buddies in little groups of three guys at a time until you get just to the right number of tiles away, then they attack. If you move out of the range again the will stop and start discarding again for giggles. The AI doesn't know how to turn in place which results in some hilarious moments of you and a chaos marine turn after turn moving two space, facing the opponent, melee attacking, then watching the chaos marine rinse and repeat. So the most feared and trained troops in the galaxy can't have a fire arc, they instead get a block of squares dead in front of them depending on the weapon... Ok, I get it, huge armor, hard to move, maybe that's why they can't just bend their wrist to shoot the dude in the adjacent square.... Oopps, the agile Scout Marine and the cultist in just a robe must have broken their wrists as well... :-( Time to spend a card just so I can turn 45 degrees. And my personal favorite so far... and I can't believe no one has mentioned yet. WTF is the point of having an 8' long SNIPER RIFLE if it has a range of 1-2!!! squares more than the basic everyday bolter? In game scale that means the sniper rifle can fire like 6 feet further than the flamethrower.....lol
There's four different options, each raising the chance to receive a legendary. Along with the gold cost. The issue is that at you raise the options a separate bar lowers which deteines if the card will actually be built. It'd be like in hearthstone, if I buy one pack, I'm sure to get cards, but if I buy 40 packs, I might only get 20 unless I pay another currency to insure I get te packs.
So far I'm not very impressed. Good idea, terrible execution. Yes the free to play element is pretty greedy but even if it was not the gameplay just has soooo many problems. Most of 'em have already been listed here so I won't go through them again. Metal Gear Acid came out ages ago and was way more thought through than this. Needs some serious work.
First off, I love the game play with the TBS and the cards, the way effort works, all of that, but... I agree with Cyllwynn too. It feels like Herocraft bit off more than they could chew by making the game always online. It takes me sometimes a couple hours to finish 1 mission because of slow server (I click to move or attack and it sits for several seconds), disconnects, useless an overly repeated turns for the enemies at the far end of the map that are revealed and dump cards. When there is server lag AND you have 3 guys dumping cards and it gives them 6 effort points, i have to sit through those 3 turns probably 30+ times before I reach them and it may take a minutes for all 3 of them to dump cards with the lag. Also, I come on TA not because it's where the majority of the gamers read comments, but because the developers lots of times are in the forums and responding. It's the best way to be heard by the developers. So we lots of people wand to come on here and QQ about the F2P elements and disagree with the business model, this is a good place to do it. I haven't spent a penny on this game and nor will I unless some changes are made. It reeks of Pay2Win because around every corner there is another payment. My hero died, pay to rez, pay to craft even though you already have limited crafting mats, sweet i gained a level - pay to level, sweet more decks - pay for those, oh i have squaddies i can level too - pay for that, here is a rediculous optional mission of killing no more than 5 mobs in the 2nd mission (btw you will die and need to rez - pay for that) or i guess if you somehow got enough credit to level your guy to max level you could get back and get that 1000c you need to level your guy. It is a game that just has the F2P or P2W elements around every corner. Bad connection + bad payments around every corner = 2/5 stars for me and one less person paying you for your game. As i said before I've been waiting for this since the first announcement and would have paid $20 up front, i would have paid for a credit doubler ($5), i would even pay $1 per booster after that when I have more money. Suggestions: (assuming you won't change your busineess model) - make the main mission pay 250c instead of 100c. - or make enemies drop 1-10c randomly or varying amounts depending on the type of enemy. Also they could drop some crafting mats - no need to use a card to turn and attack someone in melee range. if i'm stuck with my terminator who has most cards 7+ effort it cost 14 just to attack a guy already next to me 1 time and then i'm at the bottom of the turn list. - WALK THROUGH TEAMATES I'm hoping your fix for the connection issues in the next update will help speed up the game
Game Impressions I like the game, as for AI .. well these Marines have mind twisted by Chaos, because of that they can be dumb
Regarding the online requirements, I play the game over a 1 mbit/s 3G connection, and have never experienced any connectivity issues, delays, lag or communication issues as long as I've at least one-two bars of 3G coverage (which I nearly always have, no matter where in Sweden I go, including mountain tops in the distant wilderness. I've played Carcassonne at 1200 meters height, miles from civilization ). Your mileage will probably vary
Just tried my luck after seen TA PROMO code with another site's name and bang! You may use "APPSPYSOFT" as a new code to have 6 cards ( 2 rare, 2 uc, 2 c )
I concur. How are you supposed to beat the bonus objective? It seems nigh impossible, unless I'm missing a major gameplay element here?
Well, I gave this game a fair chance (2 days) but decided to delete it and reinstall the real TBS deal, XCOM. This is by no means a terrible game, but it's basically a poor man's XCOM with sloppy free-to-play implementation (leveling) and a card mechanic that feels tacked on.
No. At you base click on "squad" on the 2nd floor. It's not on the menu at the bottom. Oh yea it costs 800 to get to lvl 2, 1600 to get to lvl 3 and I have been able to afford that, and you pay per squad fy to level them (5-6 of them). No XP needed just Pay2Level, gg.
Let's do some math Unlocking both addition decks is simply 10k credits. Assuming to unlock level 8 skills continues to trend from1000-7000c, that is 28k credits * 3 decks = 84k credits 5 squaddies assuming can be leveled from 1-8 and the cost goes up 800c per level (800-5600) woul be 22,400c * 5 squaddies is a measly 112k credits So just to level you characters and get the 2 additional decks you are looking at needing only 206k credits, about a $230 evaluation. Haha
