If you are talking about mission 2-6, that mission is considerably easier if you stay to the south on the map and go get the crate first before going north and causing the walking behemoth of a dreadnaught to appear. I messed up the first time I did it and had a whole bunch of spawns out when he popped up. The second time around was considerably easier... especially with all the helpers I had as is evidenced by the pic below. Yeah that is 3 regular wolves and one of the elite wolves... I just love the scout. addendum: When I completed this, both my squaddies were lvl 3 as was my main the scout.
Yep, that's the level. I had an idea that I would clear out the mission, then go down to the crate and then go to the end point. I didn't bet on 1) The Dreadnought 2) The never ending spawns of cultists. Still finished the mission the first time around but it was tough and one squad member (my Scout) died. I played with me in Terminator armour and the Terminator and Scout squad members, both at level 6. I have a whole bunch of elite and legendary weapons now for my Terminator so I could handle the Dreadnought.
Ya, that's a pretty rough way to do it lol, but more power to you for pulling it off! Now just way for chapter three, that's when things getting really interesting
Is the rune pack better buy than boosters? 30kc gets you 50 runes or 40 boosters, and the 12500 gears can be used for 62 hard forges on top if you get boosters. Of course boosters mostly yield just more gears, but then again so do forge tries as well Not sure what to use credits on now that I finally have all three kits and all five squad members fully leveled.
Definitely iron runes > boosters. If you buy a 15 pack of boosters, you'd be lucky to get an epic card, let alone a legendary. I've heard this from several people who've all tried a pack of boosters (including someone who got a 40 pack) and we only received 2 epics between the 5 of us. Runed crafting on the other hand is a very safe route to go. Not only do you average 1.25 legendary cards per 25 pack, you all get a ton of epics and rares (you get 7.5 E's and UC's per pack, and 8.75 rares, approximately). Now sure you will probably end up disassembling a good portion of those rares and almost all of the UC's, but I personally keep all my E's and L's even if they don't fit into my current builds. You never know what herocraft will change/nerf/buff in a game like this Plus, getting three maxed out teleports and jump packs at two different rarities can take ages lol, so maximizing your rare/epic generation is definitely not a bad thing. Who doesn't want effortless teleports?!?
Everything runs server side, so just make sure your new phone has the same game centre login on and and you can continue on it.
Any chance this might be coming soon? I have like 8000+ gears at this point I would like to forge and see what happens... and its killing me holding on to them :-( Thanks in advance machine
That makes boosters sound like a very bad deal. Maybe my expectations just were too high 40 pack would then mean pretty much just some 8000 gears or so, and would be worth buying only for someone who does not want to farm the gears even, so would need iron runes to reforge the booster contents into something useful Went ahead with a 25 iron rune pack, and got Emperor's Tear and one Terran unit MK2 teleport along with some other epics that I'm keeping (some good now, some could be good later). So happy with the choice
Until now I was exclusively using the RARE forging system, but always with small amouts of gears, so I can't wait to have your explanation! Other subject: on mission 3-4 The Roost, how long does it take for the thunderhawk to come and pick my marines up? Shall I stay near the communication device? Until now I didn't make it to survive until it's arrival...
No, you do not need to stay near the device. I normally run out onto the platform where the raptors spawn in order to avoid the bloodletters (because of the secondary mission). I like to just back myself into the corner and kill as many as I can. Idk the exact number of turns but I recall they picked me up just as my squad was about to die on re very first try, so it's pretty tightly tuned, but i was still able to get the crate with the tactical marine. <3 jumppacks! In fact, I think you'd probably be able to use your tactical marine (or whoever went and got the crate for you) as bait to lure enemies away from the platform where your other two characters are. Just food for thought
Spoiler laden question ahoy. If you've not played 2-3 "Hopes and Fears" yet and don't want to know what happens in the story during that scenario don't continue: In this map Spoiler saving Brother Gunnar is supposed to be impossible, but I've been been trying a method that might work, but as of yet been unable line it all up perfectly. It requires a bit of luck, careful movement and exploiting the "Wolf Pack" tactic but has come painfully close. Has anyone been successful with anything similar? What is the outcome if you have been able to pull this off? Basic strategy: Use the scout deck, with at both the wolf companion and the legendary white thunderwolf. Use the "Wolfheart" perk. Don't pass the hanging skeleton next to the right hand ossuary. The scripted events won't trigger until you do that. Allow the first two chaos marines to come to you and turf them. Not too hard if you have the Fierce Eye and decent support marines. Since you are outside the other two chaos marines aggro radius take this opportunity to cycle the deck and pull your wolves into your hand. Here is where the luck comes into it. After you drop the first two wolves they will stream around the corner and attack the chaos marines. If you are lucky in your redraws you can get another one or two wolves into action before the traitors go down. You also need things go your way and have the fight push along the hallway and down the stairs before that happens. If either of these don't happen the scenario will just play out designed. Now there is another pause in the battle. You could spam out more wolves, but be careful. Too many and things can go horribly wrong (see notes below). Now trigger the event. Spoiler Lots of things happen as scripted but the most interesting is if you got lucky earlier and your wolf pack is beyond barrier that blocks Gunnar and Zymeltros in. The sorceror will ignore Gunnar and go after the weakest models in LOS, which are your wolves. Oddly enough your wolves don't see him as an enemy and they will just burn cards, but in the meantime Gunnar is wailing away. If you got three or four wolves into the room Zymeltros will be so busy he should die before the fifth new chaos marine does. I suspect the scenario will break should this happen since you now can't complete the new mission objective of killing five chaos marines before the end of the fight. Or perhaps Gunnar will just stand around until the fifth one goes down and Zymeltros will pop up from the dead and kill Gunnar before croaking again. I'd love to see how the game engine handles it but so far haven't got it all to work out properly. Notes: Too many wolves are bad for two reasons. If you block your route and can't teleport/jump pack past them the scenario is deadlocked. The other issue is what I found out the one time I got all the stars to align on this: If you have too many and still are able to trigger the event they might kill too many chaos marines Spoiler before Zymeltros dies and trigger Gunnar's instadeath.
It's actually a bit easier than that if you realize the raptors and bloodletters don't show up until you enter the goal zone. Simply kill everything and advance up the platform but don't trigger the device. Waltz down to the crate and then come back as there is nothing to stop you. Now reposition two marines all the way back down to the start area and cycle your decks to get the cards you want (Termies at full armor, all weapons equipped and loaded, spam wolves if you are playing scout). Trigger the device and boogie back to the rest of your squad. The bloodletters will get hung up trying to navigate the bend in the narrow stairs and will be caught behind the flood of other models, which shouldn't be able to get all the way down to you and through your defenses until your ride arrives. Just be careful you don't allow a t-wolf to get too close to the bloodletters, as it will almost always accidentally kill one before they take it down.
Well, have forged a lot of 200's with only getting rares. -without runes Then i did 15'ish in a row and got 2 epics and a legendary. -also without runes Might be coincidense, but still odd. Will try again asap
problems So I have encountered a bit of an issue with the game. It freaked out and disconnected at the end of running through one of the missions and now every time I go back into the game it shows me the completed mission splash screen for that mission without showing me the cards I received and then a minute or so later it "disconnects" me again. I am not sure how to resolve this fatal loop. I would just delete it and reinstall but I get that warning that doing so will delete all the data on my phone for the game and the last time something like this happened with another game I basically had to start completely over as it wiped everything and well that would mean I would lose a lot of great cards and a ton of gears I have been saving up. Can someone please tell me how to resolve this in such a way that I don't lose everything I have gained over the last few months? Thanks in advance. I am running iOs8 on an Iphone 5 if that matters...
