Btw, this info can be interesting and useful: Upgrading your squad soldiers to Level 3 and 5 automatically improves their weapon cards to level 2 and 3 respectively.
Legendary cards "Young King's Blade", Frost Blade, 460 damage, 85% accuracy, 8 effort, target discards 2 cards
Great info, thanks yury. Also, how is the epic jump pack? Less effort, more range, or both? I almost beat the dreadnought on 2-6 on my first try today. Idk of this happened before, but now your thunderhawk hits him with 3 missiles, bringing him down to a much more reasonable 5k hp lol
Just killed the dreadnought on my 2nd try. I swear I had 30% accuracy the first time lol. Just got a 2nd axe of morkai for my legendary. Don't think I'm gonna evolve it yet. It only gets 1% accuracy and goes from 475 dmg to 519, still 6 effort. Sad that I got a duplicate legendary on the first two chapters, although if I got 14 more in a row from the forge I would be significantly less saddened Looking forward to the enemies in chapter 3 they're quite a step up from cultists.
So are the warhammer 40000 games all created by the same devs? Because on the App Store they are each published by different companies. (sorry about the broken english from autocorrect)
Legendary cards 'Lupus Annilus' Plasma Gun, Equip, 290 damage, 88% accuracy, Inflicts stun for 3 turns (adds 3 effort each time target plays a card)
Legendary cards 'Fierce-Eye' Sniper Rifle, Equip, 11 effort, 400 damage, 82 accuracy, Target receives 4 effort
Equip. There are two types of sniper rifles with the same weapon class: first that requires 13 effort and have mostly 100% accuracy, and second that requires only 11 effort and much lower accuracy (e.g. I have rare sniper rifle with 300 damage and 87% accuracy).
Legendary cards: Emperor's Tear use eff 10 325 d 85% draw 1 card Mjalnar use eff 7 513 d 81% ignores armor, draw 1 card Sword of Russ use eff 7 513 d 85% draw 1 card Lupus Annilus equip eff 7 290 d 88% inflicts stun Heimdall's Star use eff 8 370 d 93% range 2
Ragnar's Bolter Bolter - Equipment - 1 hand - Scout/Power Armour 8 effort 260dmg - 82% - 5 range Overwatch 75% Target Receives 4 Effort I'll use it for the Overwatch I guess.
Just got the Emperor's Tear. It is a range 5 bolter, 10 effort, 325 dmg, 85% accuracy, draw 1 card, Use. Don't even know if I'll use it. Wish it was equip w/ overwatch >.> Edit: I also just got Young King's Blade. 8 effort frost blade, 460 dmg, 85% accuracy, opponent discards 2 cards, Use.
Is that a legendary? The dmg is lower than the rare shotgun I currently use for overwatch :-/ granted the accuracy is higher and the overwatch% is much higher, but come on!
Based on my personal game expereince I have prepared the draft list of some tips and strategies that I hope will be useful for new players. I will appreciate any feedback, corrections and comments. And feel free to share your advices and hints. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Basic Movements You can move using mostly any card in your hand You do not need to wait for Move card, since any card (except for Effort X) can be used to move your soldier during the battle. You need to select it and press boot icon. Plan your effort and manage turn order Effort is the key concept to understand and manage the turn order of your soldiers and the enemies. Each time the character performs any action the respective amount of effort (specified on upper right corner of the card) is added to his current effort. After the character finishes his turn the next character with the lowest effort is activated (including all enemies, the members of your squad, wolf and other your companions and allies). Wisely planning of your actions and using Effort X cards can allow you to perform few turns continuously by the same soldier (i.e. 4 and more actions) without interruption by enemy actions. Defense is vital for your survival - Use defense (i.e. shields) as soon as you receive them. But remember that maximum armor level is 3 and cant be exceeded regardless how much cards you applied. Usually using shields requires large amount of effort (10+), but it can be reduced significantly by upgrading shield cards. Battle Tactics End turn with unspent action points when it is necessary As said above control of turn order by management of effort is very important. One of widely used tactics is to end your current turn after your first action, if your effort is lower than your enemy effort. It will allow you to make second turn (i.e. two more actions, so it means three actions together with first turn) before your enemy. This tactics is also very useful after throwing grenade to ensure that it will explode before enemies move away. Know each weapon firing range and plan your movement respectively - Most of your range weapons can hit only single target and have 4 squares lengthwise 3 squares width firing range. But there are exceptions that are worth to remember and use Pistols have only 3 squares firing range Sniper rifles have 5 squares firing range Hand flamers and Flamers hit all targets that stay in their damage area Assault cannons hit all targets in their damage area, but it is only 1 square width Missile launchers and Grenades explode and damage all surrounding units Legendary weapon can have extended firing range Use your 5 range weapon (e.g. sniper rifles) to hit enemies from safe distance since most of enemies have weapon with 4 range firing range put your sniper at 5 squares distance from them. You can also protect sniper putting heavy soldier with defense/armor before him. Select the location that allows you to hit enemy soldier, but do not allows enemy to hit your without additional movement/turning move your soldier to the left/right side of the enemy rather than in front of him, so the enemy soldier will need to spend one of his actions in order turn to hit you. Use Overwatch weapon to receive additional free shot if the enemy finish his movement in the firing range of your soldier with equipped overwatch weapon, you have the chance to automatically shot him. This shot spend your ammo, but doesnt spend any action or effort. Use your Fenrissian wolf to divert enemies attention You will receive wolf companion card when you unlock Scout armor class. This card requires a lot of effort, but gives you the companion that not only diverts the attention of all surrounding enemies, but can also easily bite to death some of them. Wolf can be extremely useful during first and second campaigns. Avoid having too much effort at a time Usually it is not a good idea to get effort more than 20 (due to using high-effort cards or performing more than 2 actions during one turn) when you are in the battle and enemies are close. It can easily freeze you for 2 or even 3 enemy turns and result in being shot. Use Rage efficiently Your Rage bar fills when you receive damage. There are specific armor class perks upgrades that allows to fill it more often (e.g. when your squad members receive damage). When your Rage bar is full your effort amount is zeroed and your next attack has 100% accuracy and can be boosted by fast screen tapping. It means that when you expect that Rage bar will be filled during next enemy attack, you may obtain any amount of effort, since all this effort will be anyway zeroed. Cards Management Scout and Terminator armor classes give you 30 more cards to play Unlocking Scout and Terminator classes is quite expensive, but it not only provides you with new classes that can use their own unique weapon, it also adds new squad members and new cards that are not class specific and can be used by Power armor (e.g. Wolf companion, Sprint, Ambush, Shields). There are different ways to acquire new cards, and some of them do not require credits - You may acquire new cards buying boosters, forging, earning in missions (1 card for each fulfilled mission objective), unlocking new armor classes (30 cards for each class). Use all of them. You may significantly increase your chances to forge better cards selecting higher craft difficulty however remember that higher difficulty also requires more weapon parts (from 100 on simple to 250 on extreme) and lower chances for success. Iron runes gives you 100% success chance, use them together with Extreme craft difficulty. Upgrade cards to improve their characteristics if you have two or more equal cards you may combine them in one card with better characteristics (less effort, more damage, more accuracy). Later on when you will have more rare and epic cards with superior characteristics it will be more efficient to dismantle common and uncommon cards, rather than upgrade them (upgrading cards you cut in half the amount of weapon parts that you can receive from their dismantling). Dismantle the cards that you dont need any more dismantling the inferior cards not only makes your deck smaller and easier to manage, but it will also give you working parts that can be used to forge new cards. Squad Management Improve your squad members Three of your squad members are available from the beginning, two more will be available when you unlock Terminator and Scout armor classes. All soldiers have different specialization and you can select what you like more. Improvement/upgrading of squad members is expensive, but it not only increase their health, but also provides new cards (for each level you can select one of two new cards) and upgrade other their cards (upgrading soldier to level 3/5 automatically upgrades his uncommon cards to level 2/3 respectively).
Sadly yes, that thing is a legendary. I updated the info to show the range of 5, which I think is the only redeeming factor of it. I personally try to play almost exclusively melee so I'm not quite happy with that being my only legendary so far.
