Freemium is here to stay and so are the growing numbers of gamers that are fed up with it. I for one don't even bother to install such games anymore. There is so much room on the app store for good tbs games that the devs of this game really blew it buy putting all their efforts on ways to squeeze money out of our pockets instead of making a deep strategic challenge for wich they could easely ask 20, the price i just happely payed for The latest game from Slitherine. We as consumers can determine which way the industry will evolve and i think we have every right to come down hard on devs that have the wrong priorities.
Hi devs, i would like to give you this shiny new sportscar for FREE! All you have to do, is pay me 500.000 $ for the key. Oh, and it has no gas, so you have to pay me 5.000 $ every time you want to drive it. Also, you will not be able to drive it wherever you want - only inside the city. What, you say it's made for running at highspeed roads? sorry. Oh, and also, it CANNOT turn 45 degrees, every time you want to turn, you have to turn completely. Good luck.
Does you car come with seats it in? You could squeeze a few more bucks by leaving the seats out and charging for them Haha
I am one of the few people that never played Warhammer or any of these franchises... the game itself seems pretty interesting, production values are off the chart. I actually really like the digital Booster concept (I have played CCGs before), that could get addictive fast. But like all the others have said, it's hard to keep the interest alive when I know it's almost all show and the paywall is just a few levels away. I hope they can balance this a little better... just like Seabeard...
I've been playing and enjoying this game a lot. I think the only thing holding me back from loving it (and giving it some money) is how long battles last. It seems like by the end of the battle I'm just waiting for it to be over - exhausted. It isn't thrilling to win. Instead, I usually end up feeling glad that they finally stopped spawning another squad of 3 guys between me and the goal. I don't know... I'm still playing, but I wish the game were just a little tighter.
Enjoying it so far! Loving the way it looks on the iPhone 6. Might try it on the iPad mini retina just because I feel like this game deserves a bigger screen when played. Small doesn't do it justice. Love the card / strategy so far. Found an epic melee weapon card in my booster!
Sorry about issues with connection DanRiverBrew. We are investigating that - those are not server-side issues by the way, it's specific to some ISPs / Internet setups. On mission credits. In Chapter 1 it's 150 per mission. Chapter 2 - 300. Chapter 3 - 500. I like the idea about random drops from the enemies, it can add sense of achievement (which is sometimes lost in long missions). Melee idea is also worth thinking of. We already had feedback that melee is somewhat underpowered.
Thank you for the feedback. We know that there's a lot of work ahead in core gameplay department. Please let me know if you have ideas. One that we had before was adding new interesting cards and mechanics. Please keep in mind that we can't simply find and copy a good ready solution, we'll need to try different things and look for feedback.
That would be a good change. I equipped some awesome electric claws and spent my two actions getting up to a dude and only did 50 or so damage after taking two hits while getting into position. That was a real bummer. I don't even let melee in my deck now, as the enemy never gets in close and getting myself that close always gives me more damage than I dish out. Hey. This is a good game and lots of us are really enjoying it. I think you may have something special here.
So can I get you a code?.. Speaking seriously, most of that is well deserved. Deck config is not good indeed and there will be changes in UI, gameplay and monetization. But we can't take much from those great game (that we also love) quoted here. We wanted to do different gameplay mechanics, not a clone of a proven TBS in WH40K setting. Please give us some time to improve.
