Event replay freeze is getting really annoying, especially today as the event difficulty ramped up steeply, and my sleepy knight didn't make it through. Had another stuck loop animation for a salvage crate yesterday too. Buggy.
Yes I agree, even if I am just a lame player grin-I can't get 3 medals in Game Progress or Loyalty Quest so they are now useless quests for me. Would love to have them expire eventually to get new ones.
Whoever put that event together should be shot, have his name stricken from the rolls of the regimental roll of honor, have his ashes vaporized and have his family billed for the cost of his expended kit. Just sayin'. Not sure if these are procedurally generated, but the combination of heavy armor, weak weapons and low health was just ridiculous on this one. Didn't even live through the thing on two plays.
Hey jphughes, please PM me with your Player ID and make sure you're on 1.4.1 and I can sort something out for you =) You can find your Player ID in the options screen - it's a long alphanumerical string like 'a3940efgb9303568evaff491312'
A couple requests 1. I'd like the option to buy a Legendary Supply Drop With gold. Most of my gear is legendary and I don't really want to buy the Epic Supply Drop (since I already have tons if it from forging) so it'd be nice to have something to buy with all this gold that I'm accumulating. 2. After finishing a Patrol, it'd be nice to just have a Next Patrol button so that you don't have to go back to the Main Menu. I realize this is fairly trivial but I do so many of these frigging patrols so it'd be nice to move to the next one immediately. 3. I don't know if it's just me, but my Salvage and Free Ore have been the same for like 2 weeks now. I always get 30,000 ore for the first salvage, a couple of boosts for the second, and 15,000 ore for the Free Ore. It's getting extremely annoying and I'd appreciate it if this could be fixed. My PlayerID is 201603111554. Thanks and looking forward to the next update.
Loyalty Quest to Kill Chaos, but Ican't find any! Help, anyone? I'm fairly new to this game, and have had a Loyalty Quest to Kill Chaos troops for days now. The only problem is that every map I have tried only has Orks. The Campaign Map button that is next to quests is also useless. It either takes you to the area you last had open, or the latest map you have reached. One would assume that hitting a Campaign Map button next to a quest, would take you to an area, and map, in which you could actually complete the quest. But all these buttons do is the same thing the Campaign button on the main interface does. The game gives not a clue as to how I can actually complete the Loyalty Quest. I'm level 11, and on Chapter 3. Can anyone tell me what I'm missing here? Thanks in advance for any help or advice!
Hey. The chaos chaps come along in Ch.4. so you'll have to keep plugging away those last few patrols you need to unlock it.
Got my Lightning Cannon up to 392 atm, I've got to say it sounds pretty good with headphones in when you hold it down for a few seconds. As it charges up for an awesome lightning blast.
I've been waiting to post, because I was even angrier about this when it happened, but...I thought I'd share this tale from the weekend, as I worked my way through a few quests. Things began fairly easily Saturday, with a daily quest to forge three rocket launchers and a loyalty quest to forge five items stacking, so I worked my way through those and got this: The number caught my eye, but I assumed it was a fluke -- so I just Green Tided my way through it at night, playing all the way down to 1 percent structural integrity because I so don't care how much health I have going into that pathetic mission. Got the 10 items forged, went a day of normal play -- and then I hit this Sunday: "Really?" I said to myself, making more time to Green Tide this thing as well -- only took like 20 sorties, because of the abysmally inconsistent item yield. Came out of that, immediately got this: At this point, I nearly threw my iPhone into the wall...eventually, when I stopped seeing red, I put the phone down and basically stopped playing Freeblade for 24 hours. Johnny, I have been polite and I have been direct with no apparent effect, so I will be blunt: this needs to end, here and now. Not only are forge quests obviously NOT fixed, they are still NOT fun or enjoyable in any way to the player. By now, they're coming across as a cruel practical joke on every single person who plays Freeblade, by a developer apparently capable of neither empathy nor understanding. The one argument I have seen you advance in favor of forge quests is that they are considered beneficial for new players. In that case, please put every single forge quest you plan to implement early in the Game Progress quest line, or implement a Rescan button for quests as I've previously suggested -- either way, DO SOMETHING so the rest of us don't have to see these things EVER AGAIN.
Completely agree. I've had a similar experience but just less persistent than you have been. I got 3 forge quests in a row include 2 'forge 10 items' and I just stopped playing. Haven't played for a few days now. Turned the app on to collect reward and salvage and then off again.
I hear the frustration with this - we'll be looking at resolving this for 1.5. The current thinking is to stop forging quests spawning above a certain level. I'll feed back before release when I can confirm exactly what we're doing here - you should essentially not be seeing forge quests at high levels once 1.5 lands.
Thanks for that, Johnny -- these things just disrupt the game's flow so badly that it drives me up the wall, especially when they "reward" less ore than I've spent on the forge processes to complete the quest. That said, WobblyGoblin brings up a very important point, one I felt in the aftermath of those quests as well...the impulse to just collect passive items, because so few of the game's systems are properly rewarding for regular players. Patrols haven't kicked out appreciable loot since Thunderstrike, forge quests have driven up the time-to-benefit ratio for all quests, daily events pay almost nothing unless you're literally a member of the 1 percent...just about all you can do is take a spin and wait. When I look back on my last six weeks in Freeblade, every significant new piece of wargear I've gotten in-game has been received on the dole, from either salvage or daily-reward crates. At this point the rest of the game feels like walking into a glittering casino, past the shiny tables up front where ever-higher piles of gold are being handed to a small group of high rollers, then standing in a corner and pulling the handle on a busted slot machine all day...and ultimately going up to the cashier's window only to be paid out in pig iron.
Thanks for responding Johnny. Good to hear the feedback is being taken seriously. Pretty refreshing compared to other game devs! I should say that I still love the game. Re-read my post and realised it sounded very negative. This is one game I do buy the occasional iap to support the development. I think the game is worth it. My reaction was simply due to the frustration. I couldn't face another forge quest and, as Voothreepio says, the other avenues for progression are limited once the main story content is complete. I'll still be playing and saving up to forge new gear but the forging quests make things a bit monotonous and limit how quickly I want to return to the game.
Could we also add the option to unlock the gauntlet and lightening cannon with gold? 50 or even 100 wouldn't be as unreasonable as restricting core game functionality and features with a pay gate.
Is there any imaginable situation in which forging 8 carapace items could benefit anyone, at any level?
More to the point, I'm surprised Thunderstrike gauntlets and lightning cannons haven't simply shown up as standard patrol/mission loot by now. Even a level-3 version from Green Tide would be enough to give you the forging schematic, honestly...
