If your goal is to get a full 280+ orange stuff than salvage is mandatory, if you just want to clean up the game than you probably can achieve this with 220 blue stuff.

With 250 strengh and toughness and 200 blue cc and light weapon you can easily clean any level 40 patrol.

For the moment, without new content (mp or new levels) I don't see the point of farming higher stuff or doing patrols.

What do you use for Light and Heavy? Meltagun and Cannon (which seems to be the standard by now), or something else?

Till you get a decent stuff with 250+ strengh and toughness I think metla / cannon is the most efficient combo.
Nevertheless, till you get a decent strengh / toughness level I'd select the heavy weapon on the stats rather than the category. For instance I'd prefer a gatling with big stats like (40+ strengh and toughness) than cannon with crit domage and no toughness.

Once you get a better stuff you have more margin to try different combos. I'm currently experiencing level 280 orange gatling + stubber and it works fine.

Finally got my last two stars on The Tree Bleed. For anyone else struggling on this one, I found the trick was to avoid multi-kills with cannon fire, rather individually picking off units. The stage goes by so fast that this seems needed to keep up the multiplier.

Final (for now) time limited special offer: two (!) pieces of legendary kit, one of them a Gatling (lol) for £12.99.

Oh, and 750 gold and some shizzle.

    "Worth" £30.

But only brings 20 "loyalty points."

Lol. Thanks for the offer and all that. But think I'll skip it this time!

    Hmmmm!

I can buy 1,050 gold for £8. If I really really want it. Working up from the (worse value) 600 @ £4.99, 750 is "worth" £6.25.

I can buy 10 revives for £2.29, with - admittedly - an absolute bucketload of bonus goods and trinkets. Given that's 50 items for £2.29, I assume it's not unreasonable to value 10 revives @£0.46.

Which means that the fringe benefits are worth £6.71 between them. Not including loyalty points.

And they're valuing 245 wg legendary weapons at c.£11.64. Each.

    Or, tbf, £23.28 = (2a + 20b) - 40c

Where a is legendary weapons, b is "loyalty points," and c is power boosts (revives etc).

That's abysmal :D Really, professionally, shockingly abysmal :D

You can change patterns and emblems also. If you spend a bit of Ore to get some more of all then there is a randomise option which makes some pretty cool outfits. Oh and there are some set outfits, but most are huge amounts of gold.

Warhammer FB WarGear Findings Log (Spoiler threat-low)

Warhammer FB WarGear Findings Log (Spoiler threat-low):
    http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=277203

    Hello,

I wanted to make a running log of WarGear that I am currently using as a level 40 FreeBlade. I have run into a situation on numerous accounts while upgrading certain items, I have to shift focus to a new and better item that I find that is much stronger or more efficient, In many cases this can even be a better Purple over the Orange I am upgrading. This log will NOT contain upgrade pricing or item attributes outside of Rarity/Color (as this allows people to see what *could be found/kept in favor of a better item drop).

Please feel free to contribute your findings in the same fashion (you can use my log as a template), questions and answers can be PM'ed (This is strictly a FINDINGS LOG) and also note:

My log will only list the best item types I have for each category (not my entire inventory) as I do switch them out.
Meaning: Those items that are not in contention with others items will not be listed (as I will be forging those lesser items if/when the forging tiers go up). *All Legendaries/Orange items will be listed from my inventory as I have never discarded/used any Legendaries/Orange for Forging and have kept them all regardless if they are out classed.

    Log tips:
If I list an Epic among Legendaries, it must be a damn good Epic! (Same applies to all colors)
If I can finally max these out, I *may post the max stats only, not upgrade pricing (Perhaps someone may create a "Items Guide" for that information)

That's me all finished now. What an amazing game. Best graphics I've seen so far on mobile, what a rush! Spent a bit of money but not too much, and TBH could've finished it without spending any really. Freeblade 2 ??

Clear hints that it'll be expanded at the end of the final chapter.

Bit of a wet ending otherwise :D
"Let's wander through some woodland." Basically.

I also wonder if there's any point to a freeblade 2, as a separate enterprise / app, given this is free? There's no new revenue to be made from app sales, so I'd guess the focus would be on continuing the iap sales drive along the current model...

Agree the ending was a bit deflated. Such a good game though. Will look out for expansions.

Would be good to have hardmode / very difficult patrols with right rewards to challenge high end stuff.
For the moment I don't see much incentive to farm better stuff.

    More chapters

There is going to be more chapters and game content. Why would they end at chapter 8?

Also we have a multiplayer mode coming out. This game is very new, give them time to add content:eek:

I agree, that's why I'm leveling my gear and finding new and better item drops along the way, completing quests, stocking up on rewards and gold (playing mostly Patrols currently)

When Multiplayer hits, I'll be ready to jump right in :)

    Hi Guys,

just registered an account to post here.

As mention by Avalon, I assume that those max lvl 40 players (complete campaign) can forge the following
    blue max 225 (rough recipe: 4 green 160 or 4 blue + 1 blue 215)
    purple max 222 (rough recipe: 1 purple + 3 blue (lower than 185) + 1 blue 185)

do share if someone managed to forge any higher than that.

And which of the purple / blue is better...?

I'm re-kitting my purple weapons with (far better!) blues atm.

Though just crafted my first piece of blue armour - and to my surprise, found that it was substantially worse than a purple piece of kit (+25 vs +13 strength, basically, with a +26wg rating in favour of the +13 blue!)
