I only have one device and have had that message about whether to use local or cloud data a few times- had to choose very carefully so as not to lose progess.
That sounds odd. I guess it's caused by the timestamps on the cloudsaves, with the one from your iPhone being newer. When you have a save from your phone, then say on the iPad to use local data, and then cloudsync again: do you get the new save on the phone, too? If not, write to their Support. Can take a few days till you get an answer; they seem friendly enough, just swamped. You can do so from the ingame menu even, nice touch.
Weird, it seems like there's an issue with iCloud but I'm not sure... No, that's the problem, the phone never asks me if I want to use the save from the iPad/cloud, it always starts at the beginning, it ignores the iPad :/ I'd like to know if this is a general issue with people who play this game on multiple devices with the same Apple ID/game center ID.
As a matter of interest does everyone else get crashes all the time? I get one about every 20 minutes to half hour. I guess the graphics etc are too much for the processor, or (more likely) the 1gb RAM in the Air 1.
Same here, also Air1, on iOS 9.1. One crash per 30-60 minutes. More when I watch a video, e.g. for repairs. That's like a 50/50 crash chance. Didn't dig into it yet, so I don't know what might be causing it. Reminds me I need to send the crash reports to their support...
UPDATE: Tried it once, and it worked. Great find, thanks a lot! Will do a few more tomorrow, see how it goes.
iCloud is really inconsistent for me too. Sometimes I have to play a little on the new save until it asks me if I want to use the cloud version
Isn't forging costing an absolute tonne? I'm assuming this process doubles (?) the items counted towards a quest (?) Atm, I'm not sure I can forge for <20-30,000. The only way this begun to look sensible is if I ransacked lower levels for junk crates (which aren't very forthcoming ime!) And I've got no intention of forging anything for actual use for another couple of levels. Is there another way of making this a sensible investment? Would gold make it worthwhile? I've been stuck on this darned loyalty quest for days. And can't see a way out
For me at least it's ok. I need more Blue items for forging anyways I forge with 5 Greens, WGR value 84+ . Anything below WGR 84 I sell, and will up the limit to 100 in a bit I think. Usually I drop my 4 lowest Greens and 1 Green with WGR 104+ in there, to get the best result without wasting better items. My last forge liks this cost ~55k afair. I make that back easily enough. As I'm not in a rush or anything, I don't mind taking the slower path. Huh? If I get you right, the answer is no. Did 2 forges like this now, paying 1-2 Gold to complete the last few minutes. My quest counter went from 3/10 to 5/10; so each counts only once, which is correct. If you want to forge with green junk to get the quest out of the way asap, just play the early low-tier Chapter 1 missions. Should give you enough drops during mission for quite a few forgings.
May I ask for some pointers on how to beat the second Mission on chapter 4? It's called Bitter Memories and the first mission where you go up against Chaos forces for real after all the Greenskin massacre before. Did I finally hit the real paywall/grindwall? Is my WGScore too low? Or do I just plain suck at this game (probably)? I manage the ramp and afterwards after destroying the two Chaos Predator tanks the action turns to the left were I immediately get obliterated by the tower-gun-things.... I still have a little room in upgrading my curent stuff, which is at the moment limited by my ore count. I still think that may not help at all the way I more or less instantly get downed that level....
@Prinny: Pretty sure that you need better stuff. Did you replay the missions before that, until the item drop chance goes down from "Common" to "Uncommon" (I think you need to play a mission 10 times for that) ? Whenever I get stuck, I just go back to replay old missions and do more patrols. Gives you enough stuff to play with, and forge new equipment.
@ Prinny Upgrading your shield is the first priority cause it's your main domage mitigation vs. heavy weapons. You also need a decent cc weapon level and use melta as light weapon instead of stubber Generally speaking try to upgrade the best shield, light and cc weapons and you won't get much trouble to go through the end game. I also found more efficient to focus on strengh and toughness items stats rahter than crit chance and crit domage.
About daily events... How do people on top of the leaderboards get those insane scores? I mean 300+K... I tried today's event but no matter what, I couldn't go above 150K... There's a part (corridor or ramp) where you enter a lull, there's nothing to hit around so you can't keep your score multiplier.
Thanks Nullzone and SirAvalon for the pointers. - Didn't know about the common/uncommon switch I replayed some earlier missions (for medals 4-6) and sometimes for the fun but mostly did patrols (or fail them horribly) is there also a uncommon/rare/epic/whatever siwtch later on if I really go down grind alley? - On earlier iterations I wasn't all to impressed with the upgrade options for the shield...so as it only blocks two actions and doesn't reload reasonably fast I didn't focus on improving it much (ore/parts are the limiting factor) - On the melta gun I really have to experiment....maybe my preferences from other games are to strong influencing my choices here...weak but frequent dakkadakka > strong but few shots. Have to see if the Melta really is worth it. Anyways as I didn't know about the common/uncommon switch I was ahead of my time with this map incidentally and bit of more then I could chew and should grind a bit more...which is ok with me at this time....I don't have that much time to focus on this game alone i was thinking maybe the elites who maxxed out all by know are some uber-players or something ;-P
Seem to remember I hit a wall here (there are a few so far). What I ended up doing is concentrating on quests- you can make 15000-30000 Ore for shooting a few orcs, statues, vehicles etc. Also if you're gonna grind then try grinding patrol missions - even if you fail them you'll make much more Ore than campaign missions. Before doing them try and get the Ore multiplier by watching ads. You should be able to run up 100,000 - 200,000 Ore after an hour or two. Then get better equipment. Forging will yield much higher level than upgrading it seems, and as SirAvalan says the Ion Sheild is important - and the stubber is awful IMO, get a Melta gun like he says. When you use the forge, use The Ore you've earned as gold is a bit scarce and better saved to repair your mech.
Always welcome! Yes. The drop chances go down further the more you replay a mission. I got a few that say "Rare chance to acquire item X" . However, this does NOT seem to influence the drop chances for boxes you can pickup during the mission itself. Quite the contrary, I have the impression that I get more in-mission drops the higher my level gets. My Orange Shield blocks 5 now. You absolutely need a good Shield for later Stages. Focusing on upgrading one that you will keep a while is a good priority. Best light weapon, period. The Stubber can't hold a candle to it, with some very specific exceptions of a few Stages where you get absolutely swarmed by infantry. And even there, the Meltagun does a good enough job; mainly because it's the better tank-killer.
That's interesting. So you get Ore just for killing enemies and blowing up the environment? And get to keep it even if you die and abandon the patrol?
Love the game Great game , I'm at lvl 36 and grinding to lvl 40. Then my plan is to play the planet search teams to acquire legendary gear...hopefully I don't get many repeats. Do we continue to record and gain xp after 40? So when the game updates we can jump up lvls. I agree the stubber blows..I learned after fully upgrading a purple trying to make it good...it never happens. A blue melta with one upgrade is far superior. Especially on the motorbikes zipping around So if I replay chapter 8 missions the drops improve...maybe to legendary?
