I answer myself to my own question....AP charging a plasma cannon is not considered a crit. JUST ONE SHOTTED THAT DAMN BROODLORD.
What kind of modifiers were you running? How much damage did you do? (apparently there's little red numbers that show up which show the damage amount you did, but they flash by so quick I rarely see what they see before they vanish, but maybe you have better luck) and...Congrats!
Flawlessly might be an overstatement, it worked but I still get messages through support about how it doesn't work. It's not coming any time soon for Deathwatch.
Thanks!!! I just found out the (nice) way Actually I'm playing Veteran Act 9-3 as we speak. GLORIOUS.
I do not know how much damage (couldn't catch the red number, my old age sight is not that good on a iPhone 6) but surely over 7K. I used a 6 APs plasma charge with an Ultramarine devastator (+40% damage due to a skill to all UM) and the 100% precision skill to be sure. Those 6 APs came from carefully positioned marines before that turn (a skill gives you 1 AP every 2 adjacent marines). The Plasma cannon is a normal tier 2 cannon if I recall well (117-143 normal damage). It's the pink glowing one. I stood up an yelled when I managed to do this. My wife looked at me, shook her head and moved on. Not everyone in my family loves Rodeo as I do.
That's awesome! Yeah, that's what I use, too. Also, there's a Tier III miscellaneous drop that gives you a one time per mission bonus of 100% to your damage called First Company Relic. And the 40% to damage bonus stacks, so if you have multiple UMs that can grant the bonus and you have the Deadeye shot trait, those can help as well. Plus, you may have it already, but the Rite of Solar gives another 15% bonus to plasma. I wonder what kind of damage boost each AP gives to a plasma gun? Does anyone have any idea? Edit - meh, the way I wrote this makes me sound like I think you're a newb. I'm mostly just striking up conversation, seeing if there's something I'm missing that I should be remembering. I don't mean to be telling you things you undoubtedly already are aware of.
No worries, I'm like Jon Snow. I know nothing. Unfortunately I just have 2 UM. I just (un)completed Act 9-3 Veteran. Was able to kill almost EVERYTHING...but in the end I died overwhelmed. I think tonight I'll dream of that CLACK CLACK CLACK of the crab alien. Damn, I hate it. To Rodeo, specifically who thought about Act 9-3 Veteran. That Carnifex need more company...I think you really should put there more pyros. Like another 20-30 pyros. I was like...WTF? GLORIOUS DEATHS.
Need help.... i don't have a lot of memory and want to try some other new games for a while, but i dont want to lose my progress..... any tips on how to do this?
As per today patch, you can connect to iTunes and find the Deathwatch panel in the iDevice tab. On the right there is a window with the content of the documents DW folder (named: DeathWatchGame). Just move that folder in a safe place of your HD. When you will want to reinstall....do the opposite and the save should be intact.
I'm in the same boat with you. I had been eagerly awaiting this patch to get me past a lockout at the end of a8m4. But now I find that my iPad 3 experiences the exact problems you're having. I guess I'll have to watch more closely at supported devices before purchasing apps... this is first time I've found the iPad 3 to be insufficient.
That's not true. You can launch it. I did the same thing on my iPad 3. When I got one of the enemy turn crash-to-desktop bugs I emailed Matthew at support and he politely told me the game wasn't supported on iPad 3. Then I looked at the game description, and sure enough, it's the first line in the app description. Didn't even pay attention to it. So I switched to my iPhone 6+. Game has been running fine, but now I wish I could run it on the iPad so I could actually make out the red numbers that show how much damage is being done. Ah well, such is life!
After beating the game, my new challenge has been seeing what max damage I can achieve. Here's my best so far ^^
That's what I meant. Some games just let you install the game but the the game can't be launched or you are greeted by a message saying that your device isn't supported. The fact that it actually runs doesn't mean it should, that's why they added the "right" compatibility list in the description
This may be too much to ask, but could some further optimization be done? Loading screens after mission and when opening app takes quite a while. Obviously, I'm not using the latest devices..
