As inuse78 says, your basing your comments on the assumption that everyone will always have both of those items. You can only get some items from card packs and others are given away at the end of missions. It just so happens you've got the slightly 'worse' item after you already had a better one. To build on what you say, some healing is better than no healing.
Still no long fang or master of relics. Please, just allow us to buy single marines at a cost. At this rate these two marines will be the equivalent of £50 each. And that's even IF they appear.
Has anyone worked out an avg of marine tiers you get from packs yet? It is such a downer to keep getting T1 marines over and over. I still have not gotten a tactical ultramarine past T1.
Yesterday a bug occured to me on A3M2: A marine just disappeared when I selected him. He didn't return for the durarion of the mission. Is this already known?
Well that's good news, this thread was getting increasingly frustrating watching people talk about all the high end stuff they've pulled and I'm stuck on mission 2.1! Especially with multiplayer on the horizon.
Hey RodeoMatthew I sent you a message about a pretty significant bug I found. Edit: Not gamebreaking, but I think you should know about it.
I think the point is how can a T4 item be clearly less powerful than a T3 item, availability aside. I understand some gear can only be obtained in packs and other is in the loot tables at the end of each mission, but here we're talking about gear tiers. If T4 is more rare than T3, it should be so mainly because T4 gear is more powerful than T3 gear, independently from where it comes from. The chances to get a specific item are tied to its rarity/distribution in packs/end mission loot, but the idea of tiers is directly related to item power. A T4 bolter does more damage than a T3 bolter. Put aside accuracy rating. That is lower in higher tier just to avoid fresh marines from using overpowered weapons early on. A fresh T4 marine will never be as powerful as a fully developed T3 marine, but when you fully develop both, the T4 is far superior then the T3, simply because it has more skills, traits and higher base stats. Wargear items don't get upgrades or enhancements, so what they do as you find them is what they will always do. If tiers are tied to rarity and rarity to item power, I can't see why a T4 healing item is healing less than a T3 item. Ok, one is a medikit, the other is an Oath, but since there's no restriction on the type of wargear that can be equipped among various chapters/classes, I don't see the point of this inversion. I can totally agree in having a T4 item only available in packs and a T3 at the end of a mission, but that should be a consequence of the T4 item being more powerful than the T3. If there are T4 items less powerful than other same-behaving T3 ones just to insert them in the loot table at the end of a mission and say "hey, this mission gives also this T4 item!", there's something wrong here.
We will look at balancing again in the future and if we feel specific items need buffing/nerfing we will do so. At the same time as long as items aren't breaking the game, in either being OP or being vastly underpowered they are unlikely to change. So... this item may or may not change.
I've never rushed passed them in this mission. Having finished it I can tell you the chances of surviving if you only try to rush past would be very very very slim. Actually, I'd chuck in another very in there for good measure.
Meaning it hasn't been submitted to Apple yet? Oh man, according to first talks about its release, it seemed ready to be submitted two weeks ago! Then there was the release to beta testers, then some more issues were found that required other fixing, then it seemed like it was to be submitted a couple of days ago and now we're still into "final checks"... This patch is getting more hype than the game itself!!
It has passed the Apple submission process. We just need to make sure nothing is wrong and that we won't be breaking everyone's game! It will be released tomorrow morning(probably).
Yea i had to kill everyone for last mission to finish it. Then it comes cards i thought game was pretty fair. Tier 4 = 2 characters, 1 weapon Tier 3 = 4 characters, 4 weapons However the real MVP was Photon Flash Grenade. It made bigger enemies so much easier to fight. Warhammer Quest is still my favorite but this game offers more than enough for 5 bucks.
That's pretty good, on my playthrough that I just finished I used 3 Tier II Marines & 2 Tier I Marines 2 Tier III Weapons, 2 Tier II Weapons & 1 Tier I Weapon. Yeah, the card RNG was not kind to me.
