@RodeoMatthew Your input on here has been massively appreciated Matt so thank you for all of the effort so far! It is refreshing to have this level of contact (and it is also refreshing to play an iOS game that is this good!)

Thanks for all the hard work (besides the amazing game).
Problems happens all the time, but in the end it's the dev answer and commitment that matters.

I'm not sure if I'm disclosing something secret but I had a genuine laugh at this morning last beta build notes.
The first line....I imagined Rich saying those words as Gandalf said: YOU SHALL NOT PASS!!!!

I saw many sleepless nights behind that, from you all...and I thought that this came AFTER last month of crunch time.

    We really appreciate all this.

Lost my big post which I just made an account to write. I have been following this thread and contributing to the spreadsheets since the beginning, and just want to say great community for an amazing game. Hats off to Rodeo for making such a fun game and for being so involved with the community.

I have opened way too many packs to count, and of my 13 tier iv marines, I have 5 sanguinary guard, 5 wolf guard, 2 long fang ancients, and 1 master of relics. Is it bad luck on my part (getting all doubles), or is there less of a chance to get the other tier iv marines?

This is my only gripe with the game. I know it's supposed to be rare to get a tier iv, but heresy aside, the inquisition is going to receive a strongly worded letter if they send me another wolf guard while my boys in blue are waiting for their squad mates.

There are people who would kill to get the marines you've got in here!

I'm almost halfway through Heroic now, having opened many many packs and I have only packed 1 tier iv (Ultramarine Honour Guard). In contrast, I have been pretty lucky with tier iv weapons - I've got 2 of the tier iv plasma cannon for my 2 devastators and the Firescream meltagun for the single blood angel I use etc.

So unless we are told anything to the contrary I'd guess it's random. I have seen a few posts from people who would bite your hands off for those Long Fang Ancients...

Sorry for the late reply and it seems people have worked out the math already. But don't forget about buffs too! Usually you have 1-2 turns to kill a Carnifex before it does some serious damage. My team has no 90% mitigation buff but I do equip my team with some items that grant the same effect..

Anyways back to the damage, my team has two marines that grant the +40% dmg -10 accuracy buff, both stack. And as others stated, they have the 20% bonus dmg against large enemies. You can easily balance your accuracy by using an Execution ribbon thing (forgot what it's called haha). So when I am doing that huge burst damage, it's not just moving to the enemy and hitting it - I usually prep with man buffs and items to get those results. Hope that clears it up. Oh and as a 5 man tier IV Space Wolf team they all have +5% dmg per other SW (25% total).

    FIVE WOLF GUARDS!!!

    FIVE FREAKING WOLF GUARDS!!!!!

Granted I'm 'just' at the end of Veteran, but I have ONLY one tier 4 (Sanguinary Guard).
I would kill a Tyrant with my bare hands to have just the half of what you got!!!

Very true. I would happily spread the love if I could. As an Ultramarines player in 40k, I won't stop until I get my Honour Guard and Tyrannic War Veteran.

Also, how have people let you off the hook about this Charmed Chrono? No infomation about this probably xenos tech, and expecting us to take it on every mission? Sounds pretty heretical if you ask me..

The Charmed Chrono thing went pretty silent, which was good for me because I was running out of way of dodging the question.

I have mine equiped since 10-20 missions, haven't noticed anything.

My guess was that it would increase drop rates of T4 items, but Sadly no.. :(

And Matthew, thanks for all the updates. Here's another one for you, how about those patch notes you mentioned last week. ;)

Indeed!!! I'm still counting ZERO T4-marines.

And I still want to know what that Charmed Chrono is good for. Come on, Matthew...

I have a couple of questions about the Ultramarine ability Battle Brothers.
Does the UM with the ability count towards his own +5%? So with 5 UM's on the team, would it grant 20% or 25% max health and accuracy to the UM with the ability?

Second, The tier iv bolt pistol Murder grants the same buff as Battle Brothers. Do these two stack? I have a tier iii assault UM with battle brothers holding this pistol, would he then get 40-50% max hp and accuracy? (I would test it out, except there is a bug that will be fixed that treats him as a blood angel)

And does the buff from the pistol only count towards shots fired from the bolt pistol, or to all attacks made by the marine carrying it (melee attacks, grenades, etc.)?

Last question, since the bolt pistol Murder isn't an Ultramarine only item, if I give it to a Blood Angel or Space Wolf, would they receive the Battle Brothers buff?

    Thanks guys!

Yeah, I had that happen to me the first time through. I was stunned when the dude shot at the bomb. Even more stunned when the whole map exploded in defeat. Ah, well. It's a lesson I won't soon forget, lol.

A Devastator with Plasma Cannon is starting to become my favorite marine/weapon combo of the game. Abilities such as Preparation and/or Deadeye with Plasma Charged Shot = Boss Killer!

I just discovered the beauty of the Stimpack item with Plasma Cannon combo too. Use all your initial AP on a charged shot, then if your Big Bug Is miraculously still alive or have another Hive Tyrant in range, use the Stimpack and when you get your replenished AP, the Charged Shot ability can be used again! Real nasty ;)

I'm sorry to say, aa ron, that I have your Honour Guard and Tyrannic War Veteran. I bought a couple of 15 deck purchases, but both of them were drops on mission packs or requisition purchases. On another device I got a Sanguinary Priest, but I put that game away because I was playing on an iPad 3. I didn't read the game notes where it clearly states right up top that the game is not supported for the iPad 3, so my bad.

These are the only Tier IV warriors I have received thus far, which is not a complaint. Just clarifying there aren't any others.

I've been heavily tilted towards ultramarines overall. As of now I stand at 19/24 for ultramarines, versus 9/23 space wolves and 10/24 blood angels on the codex. Not sure how much of each I've sold out. No reason to keep duplicates of the lower ranks.

I don't know how to measure the accuracy stacks, but I know the health percentages stack, both in terms of 5% to overall health, and the 5% healing per turn. I know the 40% damages stack.

"I have a tier iii assault UM with battle brothers holding this pistol, would he then get 40-50% max hp and accuracy?

Where are you getting 40-50%, if you don't mind me asking? Is that from multiple pistols? With 5 ultramarines that's a 25% increase to accuracy, and then another 5% makes a 30% increase. Where does the extra 10-20% come from?

And while the Murder Bolt Pistol isn't exclusive to an Ultramarine, it states quite clearly the bonus is +5% Max Health and +5% Accuracy for each Ultramarine on the team. I don't know why you would think a Space Wolf or Blood Angel would get this bonus if they equip it. That is interesting it isn't an ultramarine exclusive with that bonus attached. Good catch.

So do you feel if you have the right warriors acquired you'll go with an all ultramarines outfit? How do you feel about giving up the increase crit damage and crit %? What's your ideal team you have in mind?

I have a Veteran ultramarine apothecary maxed out, which is the highest level apothecary the ultramarines have, but I recently put him on the bench for the honor guard, which I'm now leveling up.

What kind of items do you equip? Weapons/gear?

Emos, I'm a big fan of the Plasma Cannon charged shot as well, but there are some interesting conversations about the Power fist in this thread, too. I don't have the right equipment personnel to max its effectiveness at this time, but I'm intrigued by the possibilities based on the conversations I've read here.

Max potential 4k-6k non crit per hit, and 45k+ crit hits. That's...well, that's stunning to me.
