@RodeoMatthew Matthew, can I ask about plasma grenades? Looking at the codex page goes like this. Krak Grenade Tier 1 - 210 Damage Krak Grenade Tier 2 - 450 Damage Plasma Grenade Tier 3 - 170 Damage Unless there's something unique or better about it that I don't see, it seems underwhelming, especially sitting on the same codex page as the others. Would you be able to shed some light on it?
Krak crit is 15% chance for 300% damage on crit. That's either 450 or 1575 on crit with expected value 573. Plasma is 25% chance for 350% damage. Either 170 or 575 with expected value a whopping 276 That is ceteris paribus no other buffs etc. PS Did i Mention plasma has to crit to even be close to a tier lower non crit krak? Dunan§s calc is correct, I had 3505 for Krak
Not enough to outdamage the T2 Krak outright over time. Krak T2 is 15% for 300% damage = 1350 damage on crit | 202.5 + 382.5 = 585 damage average over 100 grenade throws. Plasma T3 is 25% for 350% damage = 595 damage on crit | 127.5 + 148.75 = 276.25 damage over 100 grenade throws. Assuming perfect probability chance over time plasma will churn out less damage. Just doesn't seem very enticing to use. Thought I'd just ask since I was curious. Edit: used the wrong base damage originally
Didn't Matt say that crit damage is additional, so 300% crit damage is actually base damage times 4 so 765 crit damage for plasma?
Sorry for appropriating your addition gunslinger without asking. I wanted to add a lot of new content like item additions, bug page and formatting and didn't want to make so many changes to someone else's file. I didn't make any change to the loot probabilities page other than formatting the text at the bottom. Welcome to remove the page if you prefer. I don't make any claims anywhere that the work done is mine and it should be obvious that it's a collaboration from many people. Just trying to provide the info to the community in a cleaner alternative.
I'm not sure but from what I see in the game itself the Super Krak crits for around 1400 give or take which leads me to believe it's only a multiplier, not an addition.
There's no need to go to all that trouble. Gunslinger has already modified the other sheet to ensure it only one sheet will be used with a direct link on the spreadsheet so people won't get confused.
A quick question @RodeoMatthew: Why do power swords and axes do less damage than chainswords in the game?. In Warhammer 40k tabletop rules and in the fluff power weapons are much more powerful weapons than the lowly chainsword which is usually given to low rank Sgt. and assault marines.
Higher crit damage / chance. As I've said before, the weapons are balanced around 8 things; Range AP Cost Damage Crit Chance Crit Damage Abilities Accuracy Volly Count While we try to keep true to the Tabletop game, somethings can't be in the spirit of keeping the game balanced
When is the patch expected to be available to download? I'm stuck with the enemy moving bug for five days now ha!
I can try to help you. Sorry if everybody here seems to be gone nuts about loot tables and wargear loadouts in the last few pages You can stop playing and wait for the patch to come (in a few days, luckily, if the devs have successfully sent the patch to Apple for approval yesterday evening, as planned) or you can try this workaround. Force close the game (open app switcher and remove the app from the list). Then reopen it. As soon as the splash screen appear, do the pinch gesture as you were trying to zoom in and out the camera. Keep on doing that during all the loading time, up until the moment the text "enemy turn" appears. If you are successful, this should reset the camera and the enemy turn should play out correctly and take you to your next turn afterwards.
Quick question about the Auspex: it says "60% crit to team until end of turn". Does that also include the carrier of the Auspex item or does the crit bonus only apply to his teammates and not himself? If so the Litany of Hate seal seems to be the better item.
Arrrrghhh. Just accidentally exploded the bomb on A9M3 using the rage ability and my marine shot the bomb. I remembered that someone posted about this milliseconds after selecting the action. 1000's XP destroyed # harsh lesson indeed
The patch has been sent off and we're playing the waiting game with Apple now, we're hoping it can be done sharpish so we can move on to finishing up multiplayer. No one is more upset than I, that the game shipped with these issues. Believe me when I say its caused sleepless nights, I've been on here at weekends and late into the night trying to help people. It applied to everyone, including the marine who uses it.
It will be worth waiting for, i'm having a great time playing this game its a real throwback to the old school space hulk board games Thanks for the update, it actually means i'm getting more work done so in hindsight its not a bad thing to be stuck on a mission for me!
