There's no cover system in the game and as far as I know, distance is only taken into account for weapons that increase their volley when shooting targets at half-range, so the accuracy you read in the armory is that marine' accuracy. Always. So there's no need to show it during mission because that will never change unless you change weapon or level up your marine (both of which you can't do in a mission).
I think it only affects weapons that grant extra volleys if fired within half range. By logic, it should be easier to hit someone the closer you are to the target, but I fail to see how it is taken into account in the game, meaning I don't have any indication that my 85% accuracy marine with his plasma gun is more likely to hit a xeno standing right in front of him as opposed to being at the far range of his gun.
Mate, its quite random tbh, i am at act 6 and have opened about 24 packs. I have 4 tier 4 marines and 3 tier 3 marines with 1 teir 4 chainaxe.
blimey, sounds like i've been incredibly unlucky as all my marines are either T1 or T2 and im at the end of the game. The best weapon i got is T2 plasma cannon for my devestator which i rely on to chip away at the big bosses, the rest are distractors, running and sniping, lol
I'm the first time a little upset with the random cards.I got three times in a row the exact same marine (T2 Ultramarine veteran,Assault). If it's really random, how high are the chances for this?I should play the lottery asap, lol. And descriptions should be more clear.Example: i have aT2 "purity seal"wargear that gives +15% damage for laser rifles. It says"passive"and is always active.(proofed) Now i got a T3 relict called"first company relic"that gives me +100% damage on big targets.Says also"passive"and of course i assumed it would be always active for the certain marine.I was very happy about it as you might imagine. Then i found out you can use it only ONE time each mission.A little disappointed now... There is no way to tell the difference if you compare those things in your inventory.
yeah, i don't often moan and whinge about games where it's random draw and luck on cards/loot, but i've found that this game i've been ridiculously unlucky I've had to grind for days to get all my Tier2 marines up to around lvl 18-20 and max out all their abilities to complete the game on Normal Having literally just completed it, i get the final mission-complete card pack. Guess what i got: T1 Pain Suppressant T1 Tactical Ultra Marine T1 Blind Grenade This is the biggest pile of ^%^%&$@£$%$ ever!!! Also what happened to at least 1 card being T2 - thought they fixed that bug!!! Not impressed
If you would take a few breaths and calm down you might notice they haven't fixed anything. You're still playing the launch version.
Hey, I dont doubt that you are frustrated and with RNG you will always have both end of the spectrum. I can say that I haven't been as unlucky as you, but chin up and keep going (or take a break for a bit), your luck will eventually change. As for the fix, the patch hasn't been rolled out yet.
I don't mind randomized weapons, that is pretty much par for the course when playing loot grinding games. However, randomized heroes seems a bit strange. The combination of the two especially leads to some frustration. For instance, my first T4 weapon was been a lascannon that can only be equipped by Space Wolves. However, I do not have any Space Wolf devastators. Overall I'm not sure what the loot table looks like, but the drops are really odd. I've gotten the same T3 power fist about 6-7 times, and the same T3 Ultramarine 4 times. I have 4-5 refractor fields as well. Thus, it isn't just about getting T3+ gear/marines, it's about getting higher rarity AND not simply getting more repeats.
Yeah i guess it is very randomised and like Tinuva says, either ends of the spectrum. I read some people drawing T4 weapons and T3 quite often and getting repeat gear, as well as drawing a T3 or even T4 marine from the first card pack in completing the tutorial! On the plus side, for those who are also unlucky like me, it is still possible to complete the game on Normal with all T2 marines and T2 weapons Upwards on onwards for Veteran level.
I don't know the loot tables either or whether there are seeds as such, but duplicates will always be a factor. It sounds like some more variety in your drops would be good, but the loot table shouldn't change to reflect what items your currently have (IMO). Whether or not the % drop chance of certain Marines/Items is higher than others, I cant say.
Sorry if this has already been posted, but has anyone else had a problem with not being able to use melee weapons if they are prevented from using ranged weapons? For example, your plasma pistol overheats but you can't hit the big in front of you with your chainsword? Or you activate your charge skill to get into a group of genestealers only to find you can't crush them with your power fist?
Is this game worth getting for rts fans? Do you need to buy packs with IAp to enjoy it? The IAp scare me
How is this game on iPhone 6 plus or iPad 4? Battery melter? Also any multi vs or coop to it? Just thinking about picking it up. Played the other 2 "space" releases like this and WH quest.
Cant answer for the first 2 devices, but it eats the battery on the regular 6. Multiplayer is due at a later date, cant speak for Co-op.
It's kind of a toss. I got enough good draws that I never felt like I needed to buy IAP, but I can see if you got really hosed with your draws and didn't want to grind, you might feel compelled to buy some packs. There is at least one stage in the second act that you can beat in 2-4 turns to at least make the grinding not so bad though.
I really love this game, made me think about some type of optional monthly subscription model Rodeo could implement. I will give an example of another game using something like this: East Legend has a $5 IAP you buy which gives you 60 gems daily as well as some other things daily, but you must log in to collect daily. It works out to 1800 gems for the month which is about $80 value. If Rodeo added a subscribe option and offered daily exp/draws for items/heroes, (basically time savers), I would subscribe in a heartbeat to support. They could use the extra income to help pay for the man hours creating new content for the game. I know many of us would keep paying the sub even after we were done with game just for pure support to Devs.
