Still wondering how the difficulty works? Is it just choosing for each game you start or is it level by level and you can complete it on all difficulties? Or is it just a question of starting all over again to do it on a different difficulty? If so I'd likely just play normal, I hate starting over in games. Also as I seen someone ask does it have iCloud or save over GC or anything? Trying to decide if I should play on my iPad or iPhone or if I can use both.
ISO VIEW? Can we play this game entirely like XCOM EU view meaning "iso only"?? I do not like overhead view. Especially in a game that's built using UE4 the graphics must be beasty- but who could see all that from top down? I want strictly ISO view or a ISO view only option where the game won't snap back to overhead view. Yuck! MIFI CONTROLLER SUPPORT: I connect my iOS devices to my TV and have a blast playing games. Does this game support mifi controller??
Stoked I'm actually downloading it! No error message either, yay! Edit: 1.5GB installed. I'm going in.
Downloading! No screw ups on the store tonight! Hail! Between this and my work giving me a 128gb iPad4 on Friday! I am in war hammer heaven!
Rodeo? That's all you had to say. Hope it plays faster than Warhammer Quest though, which to me,felt a bit sluggish.
RODEO....If you want my money, please respond. Thanks. ISO VIEW? Can we play this game entirely like XCOM EU view meaning "iso only"?? I do not like overhead view. I cant download it it keeps telling me to sign in with my itunes and im already aigned in all the other games work why just why :
I could be wrong but it seems that it is entirely played overhead. You can zoom in but it isn't as you say like xcom. You can keep it zoomed in but that would put you at a disadvantage because you wouldn't be seeing the entire battlefield. Maybe there's an option but I'm not seeing it yet. I feel confident in saying that if you're looking at buying this as a third-person shooter or xcom clone you won't be happy, so save your money. In my mind, usually you buy tactical or strategic games like this for the decisions and choices on ones approach and execution for destroying the enemy. The pretty graphics are nice too though!
I love TBT (turn based tactics) games. I also love a game that is modernized. Tough with gameplay and decisions, but providing the visuals to show everything that is ensuing. That's how I like my modern TBT's and with controller support. Wasn't looking for a XCOM clone. Just ISO view. Thanks for the breakdown. Then this game is not for me. I'll pass. Luckily, I won't have to wait long. Blood Bowl II right around the corner and has exactly what I'm looking for, then XCOM 2 -- two months after. Thanks again. Enjoy the game.
Just how tactical is the gameplay though? If it's anything like WQ, which is heavily reliant on production values and nostalgia, I'd say not very. I'm sure it's still fun to play, but I doubt an overhead view is necessary to make decisions in what seems to be a fairly simply game, strategy wise. It seems more like a toolbox of great looking character models, with some 80s game board style gameplay thrown in. I often wished WQ had more options in this regard. The models look great, but you couldn't see them. And the gameplay was so simple you could play with a any camera angle.
