I'm a big strategy game fan but have been disappointed with Warhammer titles on iOS so far. But I did enjoy the Hunter games and with 60 positive reviews from Touch Arcade users I might take the plunge on this.
I tried this with latest iExplorer but it says Deathwatch isn't setup to allow you to see its folders. I might try the other app.
Anyone ever found the 2 energy cost Ultramarine only Plasma Cannon "Doom of Behemoth" - the one that has the "never overheat" passive? I've played so much and also spent (a lot) on IAP and I'm yet to get this gun or a single Wolf Devastator, in fact i have about 15x Tier4 Blood Angel, 7x tier4 Ultramarine and only 4x Tier 4 Wolf. I know RNG is RNG but i wish the game was more likely to give us things we don't have (less duplicates) or offer some way to trade unwanted items for those we do want. I would happily give 10x my unwanted Tier 4 items for 1 of my choice, same for Tier 4 Heroes.
Yes, I found that gun - but only when I was playing the beta. But it seems to exist and it is awesome!
Yeah it was my first and only tier 4 wep! Low accuracy but I love it. Just don't have a good ultramarine to use it on haha
I found it in the pack from completing act 2. Had only tier 1 marines for a while, I used it anyway because one of the three volleys hits most of the time. Overcharge though is different, just a single shot and then 60% accuracy is a real gamble. Completing act 3 I got the tier 4 ultramarine devastator, this will be a super combo (no IAP yet).
Unfortunately since iOS 8.3 you can't see anymore content of documents app folders unless the app has iTunes sharing enabled (Deathwatch has not). BUT...backups are still tweakable so unless you are jb it's the only way. Of course, even if it takes less than 2 minutes, it's not practical for switching devices all the time.
Just found Veteran difficulty, mission 4.3, Tier 4 Missle Launcher "Lament of Heroes" For the spreadsheet My feedback on using this weapon? Terrible, or I'm missing something, a 5 energy guy can fire it once... Damage isn't that great and few AoE opportunities. Might be good if missles can fire over obstacles but the way it is now for 3 energy cost it's terrible. Looks cool equipped
I`ve added it to the google doc. A8-M3 Veteran (as I understand in also drops on Heroic A8-M3 with higher chance, but I am not sure) And I don`t need that gun, because I`ve never had any devastator higher than 2 tier I need high tier bolters, flamers, plasma guns and gravguns for my 3 Space Wolf tactical marines, but they also have never dropped. That`s RNG is pretty funny
Had another ultra awesome moment in the game yesterday (one of the many). I was playing on Veteran Act 4-2 if I recall well, the one where you have to activate the bridge. I used to breeze through the mission. I was happily going to activate the bridge with a new tier 4 I just unlocked when hell broke. They came from EVERYWHERE....all of a sudden I was surrounded by this nasty pyro xenos while TWO Tyrannid guards with the nasty +20 crit skill continue to shoot at me then hide from my LOS (awesome AI). So I was trapped in the bridge and they come, and come, and come.... Tried to break through their line of defense on the upper bank...but I was soon overwhelmed. Hicks and Ash, left to cover, died soon. Bishop was next, ambushed by some pyros. Last turn was movie epic....with Vasquez (devastator) surrounded by xenos giving up his life trying to protect Ripley (he killed 3 aliens with his 8 APs on overwatch). Ripley died 1 square from the extraction points, but before giving up she killed another 4 xenos in a row with the reaction power fist skill. Over 20K XP lost. All this watched on TV via Airplay. It was FREAKING EPIC.
How does tv airplay work? I have a 2012 year samsung smart tv- u move on phone but see it on tv i assume? Is it apple tv or something else?
So confirmed in veteran/heroic difficulty 8.3? If that's the case I'm 5.1 veteran now so ill be farming that soon
Yes I used an Apple TV (I shoot a video some posts above). You see what you see in the game, exactly (you still control everything from iPhone or iPad). Being the game turn based, and having many moments where you just watch the screen (I usually position the camera before the enemy turn where I think the most action will be for max cinematic experience) it works perfectly (honestly seems coming from PC or console). Seeing the game on TV beamed from iPhone 6 is quite a view....the volumetric for, the animations, all those little blinks and glows... Texture are amazing too, so everything is ultra crisp on TV too.
I'll make some patch notes but every major issue should be fixed. Including the enemy turn hang, some crashes, card pack issue, Missions not ending under some conditions, ipod 6 compat. We fixed a load of smaller issues also, ability text, some abilities that didn't work as described but how we intended, so we cleaned these up. Chainswords now go vrrrrrrrrr and nartheciums now counter attack.
@RodeoMatthew Why does a Super Krak Grenade (Tier 2) rated at 450 damage hit a Tyranid Warrior for 97 when used on Veteran? (not tested on any other difficulty)
!!! Actually I thought it was my imagination but it happened to me too! Or better, I didn't track exact numbers but I recall exactly I had a Tyrannid Warrior with less than 200 HP left and I threw a 450 HP granade to him. It hit but he was still alive with 100 or so HP left. I thought grenades always did the total amount of damage and couldn't miss. Veteran too.
Sounds fantastic! Just to be sure: did you read my post about that not working T4 toxic grenade? Would be cool if you can fix this, too.
