For the ones interested, I did it!!!! I finally was able to transfer the save between devices. Just backup you game on Mac/PC with iTunes for device A and B. Extract the save from desired device with iExplorer or iBackupBot. Inject the save to desired device with iBackupBot (iExplorer doesn't work for some reason). Restore backup on desired device....voilĂ !!!!! If only I knew this before!!!!! Now I can play the game on iPhone 6 too, where graphic is a bit more vibrant (I may decide to continue on Air, I'll see). iCloud would be very welcome anyway.
Triage glitch Not sure if it's been mentioned before or not, but triage doesn't seem to be working. Had 3 adjacent space marines at the end of my turn and didn't receive any health back 2 turns in a row.
I found another bug. The T4 toxic grenade isn't working. I gave it to one of my marines, but in the mission the grenade-button is not shown - so I cannot use it. Tested this three different marines.
Since we're honoring our chapters and marines, I want to give an honorable mention to my poor Blood Angel assault veteran McGee. I play a conservative game and xp farm new recruits up to a viable point in my main team, so I only ever had two fatalities: an Ultramarine tactical (but, let's be honest, Ultramarines are chumps) early on and McGee, who died screening the line from the first rampaging carnifex it ever encountered. Critted in the face. Squashed like a bug. Oddly, most all of my high end (T3/4) marines have been Blood Angels, with only a couple Ultramarines. The Angels have been enough of a mainstay for me to almost forgive them for kicking my butt (my friend ran a BA army against my Wolves a while back in tabletop) for two years. The Ultramarines, ever disdained by any good Wolf player (b/c they're all lawful stupid) remain unforgiven: the only thing for me that grated during the entire campaign was the pompous "Brother, Guilliman's better than you" (paraphrased) that came out of every Ultramarine's mouth every two seconds. It's even setting-appropriate.
Also, another thing that may or may not have been mentioned before -- charge gives you 2 extra AP and says you can't shoot, but you also can't make a close combat attack which seems like a mistake to me. Love the game, so please don't think I'm just complaining. Just want to make known the little bugs I've encountered so they can hopefully be fixed at some point.
Glad you made it, but since it requires a full backup restore in the "destination" device, I guess it's not a viable solution to play on different devices constantly switching. Just a workaround if you happen to start the game on a device and later want to switch to another one, but practically doable just one or two times. Anyway, good work!
Triage heals ADJACENT units, not the apothecary using the skill. The patch should fix the skill's wording
Yup! It's a known bug. Also, if you equip a plasma gun on an assault marine, overheating the gun also prevents the unit from using melee weapon. Both issues have been fixed in the upcoming patch. Hold on
Awesome! thanks for the info! Makes sense what you said about triage as it would be like he's the medic healing adjacent marines, but definitely does not read that way.
I would like to. I'm currently stuck in a mission it's stuck on enemy turn and never moves past that point.
Finally pulled a tier 4 item, Medusa Plasma Pistol. Still no tier 4 marines yet, but was happy to see the Carnifex taken out on my first encounter, thanks to the tip in this thread about using the plasma attack. Managed to take him in just 2 shots, but I waited until I had spent my XP first as I had 2 guys that I was farming for a 12k upgrade. Looking forward to the next act now, after holding back a while before taking on the beast. This game is totally awesome, I have spent many hours already and hardly scratched the surface. Thanks to everyone who has posted on this thread, there are loads of things I can look forward to.
I have that guy!!! Never used him though... I have a strict Space-Wolves-Only policy for my first playthrough! On the bright side, I'm closing in on the final act now, so it won't be long before I get to experience the fabled rage of the Blood Angels. Glancing at his perks and skills, he does look like a total masochistic badass, though! Side note: Just got my fier Tier IV Ultramarine (Honor Guard Assault)!!! Hurray! @RodeoMatthew: The description of the Tier III Stimpacks says they grant +3AP on activation... but they actually grant +4AP!!! Which is the bug?
Keep that card in your sleeve: that trick seems to work on most bosses! I remember the Broodlord went down in a single blast. Hit him with a solid crit: Preparation activated for 8AP on the next round +15% plasma damage from a Purity Seal +20% damage to large enemies from Beastslayer +40% chance to crit from an Auspex Overcharged my Triplex Alpha Tier III Plasma Cannon with 8AP... All in all: 16000 damage!!! Oh. Yeah.
