I'll try again and get back to you. The first time it happened, I got my team to the extraction point and the mission did not end. I tried the mission twice more, but did not bother to reach the extraction point and rage quit after seeing the same bug. But I'll try again now.
i got a T4 ultramarine (tactical war veteran) as well and i'm just half way through the campaign and only bought 2 card packs.
No, please don't do this. I think there aren't much people who even beat the game in normal difficulty. I just played the first missions on veteran and the tougher enemies giving me a very hard time. Can't see how I should watch n the game on veteran!
Okay, pressing "End Turn" when on the extraction points was the key. Finally got the mission to end, thank you.
It would have been great with a timer for tracking playtime. Always Love seeing my life tick away! Really great game you guys made, though I really would like to see either some crafting or straight up shopping for the gear and Space Marines. Still looking for that T4 Tactical Ultramarine.
Glad it worked I think i'd have a break down if I saw my hours played lol Does anyone have an iPod 6 and would be willing to join the Patch testers? It will also include a sneaky peaky at multiplayer.
TACTICAL MARINES: VIABLE ON HEROIC? Background: A crash just prevented me from winning Heroic A9M3 with my tier 3 team and the next attempt failed, so am taking a step back to grind up a tier 4 team. I am currently beating Heroic with a tier-3 team of 4x blood angels (mostly assault) with 5x purity seals that give +25% crit and +50% damage per blood angel (this gives an assault marine 2k damage per hit for a turn), and 4x tier 3/4 auspexes. This means I can get 9 turns of enough damage to take down anything, and most big enemies get taken down in one turn. Leaving these purity seals behind, I do not see how to generate the same damage? I have six tier 4's: 2x blood angel, 2x space wolf and 2x ultramarine. One of each is a tactical marine and the other is an assault marine. I wonder how tactical marines will generate enough damage to be viable on Heroic (I'm sure they are). Almost all the enemies have 9-12 times their health compared to normal difficulty, so for example: Genestealer has 1,200 HP Tyranid warrior has 4,500 HP Taking the tyranid warrior as an example, how can a couple of tactical marines with no abilities to massively increase their damage consistently do 4.5k damage per turn, or kill several 1.2k HP genestealers? Obviously overcharging plasma is one way but leaves them vulnerable, only kills one enemy per turn and has limited utility outside of that situation due to overheating, especially for 5 AP marines. I feel that I am failing to see the solution because my current tool is, let's face it, a hammer; how are you taking on Heroic?
I'm wondering, how will you grind up a T4 team, when it is completely luck based, what marines you get? It is possible to play that game forever without getting any T4 marines. I think, that is my main problem with Deathwatch. In the beginning it was my goal to collect every single marine, but now I can't see how this is ever going to happen.
A couple of pages back birth1118 posted his team which he completed the game with, from what I can see this is the tactic he used. Have a front line healing tank with damage mitigation wargear and abilities Cleave for big damage **Note this hits big units twice for MORE DAMAGES! ****Amazing with powerfists A big critting meltagun tactical blood angel with +++damge to meltas Level up your marines
Personally I immediately put him in the team and protect him during the first missions, trying to give him all the easy targets (or wounded enemies). Actually it's the part of the game I love most...it's more difficult than, let's say, reload a previous easy mission and grind for hours, but it's much more satisfying and force me to play really carefully (that's where IMHO Rodeo games really shine and are above anything else). Also, I've noticed in this way I feel MUCH more attached to my marines. When I substitute a marine with a 'new' one...I rename him as before and I just pretend he just got cooler/more skilled. So I still have now my initial team, and always will. (Ripley, Bishop, Hicks, Vasquez, Ash).
I really wish you tracked hours too, as in Warhammer Quest!!! I need to know how devasting for my productive life a new Rodeo game can be!!! Actually that and iCloud are my only desires for upcoming patches (hours tracking may never come, but I trust iCloud sync will), granted that mp will be avaible soon. After that, new campaigns...I want to scout abandoned spaceships, outposts, xenos planets.. I can see myself playing this game for an outrageous amount of time, more than WHQ possibly, and paying for new campaigns the very second the update is out.
I agree that I'm fine with difficulty and would have it if they became harder & I began to loose even more XP more often. Considering its your dead / all banked experience gone.
So, I just got my third Hand of Angels power fist. Out of the last five card packs. This is getting more and more frustrating. This RNG sucks!
Theoretically that shouldn't even be possible. Did you get the same marine multiple times? what about the out piece of wargear?
Yes, I got some of my marines multiple times. And some pieces of wargear as well, for example three times the Hand of Angels or three times the Knight Breaker bolter. I would really like to get some new stuff...
Tell me about it, mate. I'm sitting on 3 Winter's Teeth (Tier III Space Wolf Heavy Bolters) and no less than 6 (not a typo!) Tier 3 Plasma Cannons (Triplex Alpha). Combined, they represent over half my Tier III or above arsenal. At this point, it's not even funny anymore. Trust me, I'd trade all duplicates for one of your Tier IV Power Fists!
I have many double myself, both marines and gears. I thought it was normal. Multiple Tier 4 fists, a ton of master crafted bolters, etc... Actually 5 minutes ago I opened 2 packs (one from completing an Act and the second one bought with requisition points) and found the very same Blood Angel Veteran devastator (which I already had in the team so I sold both). I'm not bothered by this as others, but yeah I would like to get one of each first, and then doubles. Or at least (maybe it's already doing this) the game should check what you already have and change the odds of new items. Just an idea.
If only selling higher tiered weapons/gear/marines gave more RP, they could still prove valuable. As it stands, though? Meh...
For those who asked, this is my level 107 marine. He's got more room to grow but I gave up on him and I just use him to power through levels. it costs 300,000 XP to level him to 108.
385 Health!!! 100% Accuracy!!! 70% Crit!!! And you're saying he's got room to grow?!? So... these stats aren't capped??? Insane!!! edit: Thanks for taking the time to post a pic of this guy!
