So far I'm slowly plugging through it. I find that I'm afraid to use more than one point in movement because of the overwatch tax - as a result extraction goals are the most obnoxious, but defend the target ones are the most fun!
The patch process takes time, so where we might finish and submit it, there might be a delay. I'm not sure if its possible to release at a weekend so theres a good chance it will slip into next week. We're trying to avoid any kind of long delay but some things can't be helped unfortunately. There are 9 acts + the prologue. I couldn't comment on any kind of dlc or additional content, we're focused on the patch and then multiplayer. The emperors finest know no fear, I just go charging in. There's no time to be timid when there are xenos to kill
Thanks for the straightforward and precise answers Matthew. I understand about the patch, it seems more sensible to release it at the beginning of a week to be able to react if there is a problem rather than just before the weekend. And don't answer us during the weekend, enjoy and relax, you've earned it.
@RodeoMathew: Are you gonna take an expedited review when the patch is done? This should not take more than 24 hours, most of the time even less. edit:and is the "whole game starts again after waking up the ipad" also fixed?
Wow, that act 4 boss. I had 5k XP saved on each party marine and lost it all to that unexpected boss. I don't play a ton so it took awhile to save that all up. I wasn't even warned, and you can't back out of a mission without loosing all XP so my team was wiped. No matter what I try I can't beat him. If I skip the cryo ( not sure I spelled it right ) boss will I complete the mission? It says get to extraction than the objective changes to kill the boss. None of my marines can damage him. I even tried my tier 1 ultra with tier 4 plasma wep. The boss has enough energy to catch up to me even if I run, and he 1-2 shots my guys. Should I spend a week leveling my marines for more health? I've gotten him down to 50 (normal) but by that time all my guys are dead. I can stand my ground and wipe in a round, or I can keep trying to run, unable to shoot because all of my energy goes into running. Advice?
The crash is actually an Unreal engine issue (I was told today), we're in dialogue with them. Which wargear do you have? Going straight damage isn't the best option Some people have also trapped themselves behind a wall of smaller Tyranids to stop him getting at you. Pretty sneaky!
I know some people have posted the tier 4 loot they have received from some missions... Is anyone collecting this data ? If not, I volunteer myself. Feel free to inbox me with any tier 4 gear you receive from missions and I will collect it all in some format that we can make available to the whole community, and potentially a future wiki page. Please include the following in your message. Act and mission Difficulty level Name and type of gear
Last night I encountered that same beast on Heroic and he had a passive ability of +2 AP per 2 turns, immune to crit and recover 1000 HP per turn! When I finally got him down to 10% of HP he ran away to regenerate health! And those smaller Tyrannids made way for him! What the ?! I just can't help loving the way how enemy moves are planed out in the game. It's really like playing against the master hive mind behind those foul creatures. Fantastic job developers! Btw @ChaosProdigy, hunker down doesn't work against larger Tyrannids on heroic. Unless you have the seal of immune to critical hits, they could still wipe the whole team out with one hit each.
You could check my previous posts for sevel t4 wargears. Btw brother @ChaosProdigy has also volunteered as the librarian.
I've got a spreadsheet created that I'm populating as we speak . If chaos wants to he can, however, my offer still stands
@RodeoMatthew Will there be any recourse for players who purchased packs and only received tier 1 cards and no tier 2s or higher?
I don't have to much. Got a tier 2 stimpack, 15% dodge, 15% mitigated dmg, grenade (dmg) and a blind grenade. All tier 1. I should probably grind 2.1 / 2.2 for XP I guess. Hiding behind enemies is a great idea although I feel like there's not to many to create a wall to hide from. Plus I can't attack him if an enemy is infront. I'll def try that strategy. Could someone post a video defeating him?
Experience helps because abilities can let you unleash a lot more damage in a turn, but you should grind different levels so you have a chance at different kinds of, and better loot. Each act the loot seems to get better too...I find the bridge to be a good one...in 4.2 you can get a T2 power fist and a T3 ultramarine bolter...plasma cannon I think I got in act 3...I found the melta pretty useful for my blood angel veteran (is it always the same veteran you get in the prologue?) because of the adrenaline skill: for more AP! If you have the TA app the search function works really well (computer version not so well...at least I couldn't get it to limit the search properly) for carnifex you can find different strategies people have posted.
Cool, if it's a google spreadsheet can you share it and allow comments? It would be easier than messaging you or posting on the forum if we could comment and then (and chaos prodigy?) curate it. Thanks! It would also be good to have some notes about each battle as to what monsters you face to help strategize. If that makes sense in a spreadsheet cool, if not that's fine. It seems like every level has placed enemies and spawning points. By the way, I've noticed if you are near a spawning point the enemy can spawn and attack in the same turn...that could be a disaster of something big comes out! You get so few HP per level, it hardly seems worth it compared to accuracy, especially for high tier weapons.
It seems like people are already talking about this a ton, but what is up with the whole Tryanid boss in act 4 (i think 4?). The first big one you fight that has 5k hp. I only once one person once before that fight and everyone seemed fairly strong, but after trying that fight six times with a bunch of different loadouts I couldn't drop the thing to less than 2k HP. It's like I hit a wall in which I'm either supposed to get lucky (or buy them) with higher tier space marine cards (I only have two tier 2's) or I'm supposed to grind a crap ton before even trying that. It has definitely deterred me from playing the game. I'm still trying to go back and grind a bit, but it feels a bit dumb and I've gone from playing the game everyday to a few times a week.
Three things could help with the situation: An assault marine with hunker down ability; A stun grenade or something to reduce AP of that boss; Some skills or seals to boost crit chance. I believe there are some detailed discussions on each strategy among the previous posts. Good luck and honor your chapter!
I'm so much in love with this game that i just bought some cardpacks myself.I don't wanted nor needed them. Just to support a great premium game and premium support! Thanks to Matthew for being so active here and listening to feedback, requests and bug reports! my favorite ios game this year so far (followed by both Halo games and Grim Fandango).
I can make it a google spreadsheet, no issue... I will make 2 actually. One for tier 4 and also one for tier 3. I feel certain tier 3 items to be situationally better than heir tier 4 counterparts. Until I amend and upload the sheet though... PLEASE INBOX ME WITH YOUR TIER III AND TIER IV ITEMS, SPECIFYING ACT, MISSION, DIFFICULTY, ITEM NAME AND TYPE. THANKS ALL
