Not to be sarcastic here, but I just bought two 30 packs and this happened... These is supposed to be a tier 2 or higher, right?
Will the quality of life patch improve the UI issues on the new IPod touch 6 that were mentioned a few pages ago?
@CrazedJava I went through the entire normal campaign with tier 1 marines and ignored the higher tiers I gained, because I had better accuracy on those tier 1s. Then on the second-to-last mission I came to a crashing halt with my team. They just weren't going to cut it. So I looked into things more and found people were right about using the higher levels: When you get stuck, they have better abilities you can grind so you can continue to use the same marines.
slightly OT: I never had a look at the Warhammer universe so is there a good book or comic you would recommend to start with?Obviously something that includes the marines from this game.
I had the EXACT same thing happen... But 1 out of 90 purchased packs plus standard ones I can't complain too much. However, still disappointed. Maybe Matthew can reimburse us somehow.
Not to be discouraging but... I thought the exact same way! So I looked into it and there is just so much frigging lore that I couldn't find a decent starting point.
Quality of Life patch is really all I care about right now as the game is near unplayable if I cant finish missions and lose all XP... aside from that, this game is awesome. Sure some controls could be slightly tighter and game speed evened out/sped up but those are just nice extras to have. This fills a nice itch and finally falls more in-line with the warhammer games I remember. The other ones that were F2P hold no weight in comparison. Warhammer Quest is the exception which Rodeo made as well
Yeah this is a very, very large universe they have created, like really big. I read the books and love it but I can see how it would be a rather daunting task to get a handle on it. There is an enormous wiki that is worth a start rather than buying the novels. Just type a word like bolter into Google and get lost in the wiki for a bit. If you do fancy a novel though then the Horus heresy is a good place to start. Or something like the Ultramarines omnibus.
I am talking on average 1 hour of grinding in 2.1 gives about 10,000 - 12,000 exp per marine. I don't think you should grind in normal difficulty because chance for T3 or T4 items is so low its not worth wasting time in my opinion. For me sometimes it freezes in items menu where I cant do anything, then 5-10 seconds later it unfreezes. I really wish it wasn't such a chore to sell T2 and below items. It also takes a long time to start up the game even on iPhone 6, slow load times to get into a game as well. I would guess Charmed Chrono has a chance to revive the guy carrying it with a chance, but its just a guess. I can report that I have also received all 3 cards of T1 quality once in a long while, its maybe once every 15 draws in my experience. You know how some marines have a melee and a 1 handed weapon? When selling you get 8 and others have only 1 weapon but that 2 handed weapon sells only for 4. I would make a point that the 2 handed weapons be sold for 8, its only fair. Aside from fixing crashes, my top wish list is iCloud save so i can play on all my devices and worry less about losing my progress.
Thanks,i will start reading the wiki first. Does anyone play without using Assault Marines at all?I'm still on the fence,i have one in my team quite often but it's very rare that i use him how it's supposed to be.I prefer to kill everything before it reaches my position so i can't really use his advanced skills.
That was my guess, to. So I tried it - I gave the Charmed Chrono to one of my marines and then let him die. Nothing happens! Either the CC does something else or the revive-thing is not happening every time.
Assault Marines are an acquired taste. I've never had a ton of luck with them. I used to play WH40K tabletop and even though I had a Terminator Captain that was a close combat god I typically stuck with tactical and devastator squads. Dawn of War they tend to get torn apart too easy. So far they've been useful in this game. I am a little disappointed that a powerfist takes 2 AP, really overcompensates for its power. Still, they've had their uses if you don't mind the lack of range.
Back in the days I was a VIP amongst the blood angels. And when i decided to join the deathwatch they send me four body guards. Not one, four!
Did this happen to you guys? I purchased two 30 packs and all I got were those stern guards. It's gonna be a extreme play style. Lol. He'll, can't even think about the XP I need to level them all up.
@Chaos ahh I'm still taking my time grinding through normal Personally I'm a fan of Assault and generally run with 2. The t4 blood assault is a beast who can soak up damage, get bonuses for doing it and then dish it back out to a full team of bugs. Good times
