Yes, it has a small white bar that is always visible. And 'scrubbing' it causes the inventory to scroll much faster than flicking within the inventory area itself. Hey Rodeo, can we get that big announcement today that we've all been waiting for?
Oh dear.. I just bought 'Improved Metabolism' for my Master of Relics but had a nervous double tap on the iPad at the crucial moment.. It's charged me twice the XP and my marine is on minus 15k XP!
And you can always do A2.M1 to farm experience.... Still anxiously awaiting that big announcement. It's been pretty quiet around here the last few days.
Wow, this is a thing? I've not had this happen. Thanks for posting about it. I'll try to make sure I don't double tap when spending xp.
Isn't A2.M2 better for farming? You get a lot of reinforcements from 4 different locations, so as long as your marines can handle it, it can get high quite fast. That said, I ended up spending a long time leveling marines that would become obsolete on this mission, so I am not sure it was time well spent. Now I don't mind having 1 or 2 underleveled marines, it makes for more interesting missions.
No way. A2M1 is by far the best. It's much harder to survive in A4M2 and with A2M1 there is a spawn of three creatures from one location and two from two other locations each round. If you are on overwatch they will spawn even more than that since they can spawn a unit to replace the unit you killed. It is low threat and high re spawn. You could play it for hours on auto-pilot (though I suggest watching a movie at the time) and rack up tens of thousands of experience points.
That was my point actually : A2M2 has faster reinforcements, hence offers more XP/turn, which I find more desirable. Now it could be debated how XP/turn convert to XP/h, but I never had a problem training marines on A2M2 as long as they were not all rookies.
Do you think so? They have the two small units that appear in the final area, the one fire spitting creature per turn and a few other small units that come running across the bridge. I think that A2M1 with it's consistent 7 to 10 units per turn works out better. Also, it's more of a no brain involvement kind of level. You can just keep setting your units up in overwatch and wipe up whatever isn't taken care of. It's a highly repetitive set of actions that can be done without thinking, making it ideal for when you are watching a movie and don't want to be distracted every turn thinking about how you are going to kill the creatures. Bottom line is that both work pretty well and it comes down to a matter of taste.
I'm not sure I understand this. Galdred speaks of A2M2. This mission spawns 8 'gaunts each turn, 11 if on overwatch. If positioned correctly all spawn locations except 1 can be hit by a minimum of 2 marines. IIRC neither A2M1 nor A2M2 has any firespitters. I find that they work out very similar YMMV. The exact same things can be said of M2A2. ^^the truth even if it makes my post rather redundant
Interesting. I struggled a bit with A2M2. I really don't like the pyro guys but I know they give lots of xp. Once I am set up correctly, I can consistently take them out without getting hit though. Where do you position your units? Two facing the bridge from inside the destination building and two near the statue aiming at the back wall where the gaunts spawn? What about the creatures that spawn in the path near the bridge controls?
Actually, the mission with the flamernids is the A4M2, not A2M2. I find it easy with ultramarine, but almost got a squad wipe with my melee heavy space wolves (both in heroic difficulty). Note that I am playing the PC version, but I think the missions are the same on both versions.
My game keeps freezing at the beginning of the enemy turn. I'm effectively stuck at this mission now it seems
The game keeps freezing at the beginning of the enemy turn on A5M2, seems like I'm gonna be stuck here. Any way to fix this short quitting the mission and losing all my experience?
Yes. Kill the app and restart it. When it's loading keep zooming in and out until the level is loaded and it starts the enemy turn. The goal is to zoom out so the whole level is visable. It should then continue with the enemy turn as it normally would. There's a bug that happens on this level if certain enemies, Hive Gaurd in think, are off camera when their turn starts. This could also be avoided by always zooming out defore you end your turn. As far as I know this is the only level having this issue.
