Hi, have been lurking the thread for a while but thought i would register since I'm loving the game so much.
I think this was mentioned a while back but have just come across the bug at 3.3 Heroic- I completed the mission without loss but when I moved a marine to the final fuel switch I instantly got DEFEAT screen. A bummer as it has wiped out about 6-10k XP per marine! Don't really want to grind through the mission again now if that will just happen again.
Is there a fix for this?
I saw some users with bugs have had it recommended to share save files with Rodeo, how do I do that?

    Thanks

Good game but keeps crashing whenever I start a new quest. Pretty frustrating. Sent feedback to Rodeo. Hope it gets resolved.

Here is the message they sent me when I had an issue:

    1. Connect your device to PC / Mac
    2. Download iExplorer (https://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/)
    3. Select Files
    4. Select Apps
    5. Select Deathwatch
    6. Go into Documents and then into Saved
    7. Drag and drop your 'Savedgame' folder out onto your desktop
    8. Zip it up and send it over.

Or you can do this via iTunes.

    If you wish to go the iTunes route you can do it this way;

    1. Connect your device to PC / Mac
    2. Open iTunes
    3. Select your device
    4. Select Apps
    5. Scroll down to the bottom of the page
    6. Find Deathwatch in File Sharing
    7. Extract via the button below, zip and send.

Send it to [email protected] with a description of your issue.

Had the same issue, second xp wiping bug I've encountered, waiting for a fix. It's left a very sour taste in my mouth about this game.

Hey thanks for this, that's awesome. Will try that.
It's a shame that the penalty for a bug like this is so severe, but have been enjoying the game greatly otherwise.

Stuck with all tier-3 weapons though despite being on 3.3 heroic- tried grinding 7 and 8 a few times on vet but still didn't get any tier 4 guns apart from some bolt pistols and the underwhelming Lament of Heroes missile launcher. Ah well.

Use this link and you can see what missions you need to farm for the items you are looking for. every mission has a fixed set of item rewards.

Thanks yeah I have tried that, but so far no dice. I dunno how frequent the t3 and t4 drops are though, I'm desperate for a better plasma cannon or flamer so ran 8.3 three times in a row and just got tier 2 stuff.

On a brighter note I did discover a (perhaps somewhat obvious) trick for taking out the hated crab-claw hive guards. In a desperate situation against one that was gaining +2 AP a turn and in a narrow space so I couldn't get behind its front armour until I realised: send my assault at it from the side. His attack caused the beast to spin round to retaliate, exposing it to the rest of the team's fire. Crab bisque anyone? :)

Have to echo what others have said in here about Rodeo's support- got my XP restored and bugged mission completed within just a few hours of filing the report. Great work RodeoMatthew, and thanks Vect for the assist on how to send save file.
    roll on the next update!

Any marine with 13/14 moves can complete 2.4 heroic instantly, less than two min, for the t3 plasma cannon.
My sanguinary priest with the +2 move item, use 4 points from next turn and a lv 4 stim pack, simply run past the mobs to the endpoint. 19 RP/2 min, ok by me
If you dont have him, 3 item slots with a lv 4 marine (5 move) 2 stim packs and a healing thing can also do it, just remember to place him in the right start position

Great, I'm glad that they could help you! Good luck with the grinding, sometimes you just need to keep at it to get past the bad RNG :-/

Great tip, thanks for sharing :)

We added some safety for the last remaining issue so we're just testing currently. If we don't experience it internally, any time soon we'll look to submit next week some time.

And will this patch have the fix for the XP wiping bug in mission 3.2 in it too?

Which is your least favourite chapter? I guess mine is BAs as no devastator, few group boosts and tier 4s that are generally underwhelming. They are mainly what the game has chosen to give me (with SWs too at least though no Long Fang, still don't have a single tier 4 Ultramarine)

Okay. A little help please. iPad Pro or Mini 4? For the best experience of the game.

I think it depends on your style but perhaps more on the marines you get. I loved the BA assult in my first play through, with the item that heals for 20 % after a kill he was unstoppeable. This playtjrough, after resetting the game i have more SW and find them more fun. Guess for me the least fun would be UM as you need a full squard for max synergy

I personally am a fan of mini over full sized for gaming. I find it cumbersome to hold such a large item for long periods of time and love the portability of the mini.

For hardware and performance reasons the iPad Pro blows the doors off the mini but again, size is the issue.

Truthfully, if all games were universal, I'd get a 6S Plus. The A9 processor is superior to what the mini 4 is packing and you have a decent screen size, ideal for gaming on the go.

At the end of the day... Think about how and when you use your iPad as well as the cost and go with what feels right: )

Oh... And if you buy something you don't like, just sell it to me for 50% cost and buy something new.:D:D

    That's true for me, too.

I like the mobility that SWs tend to have.
I like the risk/reward mechanics of several BA traits.

UM ... they strike me as rather vanilla. Tahitian vanilla, perhaps, but still vanilla.
Very true to tabletop. Good show, Rodeo! ;)
