Priesthood I just got my first Sanguinary Priest (my only other Tier IV is a Tyrannic War Vet) and he's awesome! I'm not sure why people don't seem to like this unit. He has tons of action point boosting abilities, damage mitigation, dodge, and can heal both himself and others. I equipped my priest with a Tier IV Infernus Pistol that heals on every kill, as well as a Tier III Narthecium. Normally, I don't like melee that much, but this guy can heal himself after a battle and can attack 7+ times in melee every other turn. Sure plasma devastators can one shot anything up through Veteran Act IX, but now that I'm on Heroic Act 3 Mission 2 with enemies that are immune to critical hits and regenerate health, I find that pure damage is not always the panacea it used to be. I'm wondering what a 5 man Apothecary team could do in the right hands. I have 3 Tier II Apothecary Initiates in addition to the one priest and am thinking of finding out!
I have one as well, but have yet to try him, I am currently trying a run through with an all Space Wolf team, one T3 dev, a Long Fang, T3 Champion assault, Lone Wolf and Wolf Guard, currently coasting through normal just to get used to the dynamic of the team. One thing I did notice is that they don't talk to each other they are a very quiet but deadly bunch Going to to try and all BA team eventually with the Sanguinary Priest included, glad to know you are getting on well with him!
Ha, I did the same thing. I'm looking forward to crashing apps and crushing my foes, all at the same time. For, you see, I am a software developer, so it's my job to break things. I also have Chaos on my side, so that will help with both objectives.
Just completed the game on heroic, however it seems that I can no longer replay the first mission. Is this by design, or a bug? I don't have a Saga of the Ironwolf yet Awesome game, and still multiplayer to come
Rodeo stated a couple pages ago that it was a bug. Turns out that game is trying to start a non-existent 4th difficulty now on that first mission
Don't know if anyone is interested in this stuff, but I did a few more calculations. If you are interested in average damage (and of course accuracy is REALLY important with a secondary mode plasma shot, but if you have a 1ap weapon with 7 volleys you can get 28 rolls of the RNG per round and then the averages really count) and you wonder whether to increase acc ore crit, you should increase crit unless your cumulated crit is within 1/crit damage of your cumulated accuracy. So for crit damage = 100% it is always better to increase accuracy, for crit damage = 350% you can raise crit chance to accuracy- 29%. So even if your total accuracy is only 70% you should still raise crit chance until you are at 40% crit. Keep in mind - these are average numbers only, they are not relevant when you have a wave of tyranids and have to kill one every round with just a few volleys. Also you have to look at total chances which the game does not tell you directly (including battle brothers etc.). And lastly, if your enemy has crit immunity it is not working either (if not, then by the time your crit chance is higher than 1/crit damage, so 29% for the 350% weapon, you will make more damage with the crit part than normal damage). That is why weapons with a high crit damage are so powerful.

We found a cheeky out of sync issue, we should have it fixed today. I'd still hope will be out later today, but the build process takes quite a while.
