Update seems to have done the job for me on the RNG front (or at least I'm getting different stuff) I've picked up 2 Master of Relics and 2 Wolfguard since the update. (I had never pulled either of these before) Previously I was stuck in the Lone Wolf, Honor Guard, Sternguard, Long Fang Ancient and occasional Sanguinary Guard loop. I have also picked up a couple of items that had never dropped for me for whatever reason. Blood drop pendant, tier 3 UM chainsaw, etc. I'm now inching towards codex completion. The only Tier 4 marine I'm missing is the sanguinary priest and I really don't care about him from a playthrough perspective.
New rng hasn't changed much for me at all, only opened two or three packs, a mix of T1 and T2 items and 2 T2 marines. Will see how I get on with it, Just starting Act 9 Heroic, had my ass handed to me on 8.4 until i swapped out the +15% dmg seals for litanies of hate on all my marines, activating a seal or auspex almost every turn got me through it. But boy was i sweating!
good idea,do you know where i can find more crit seals like the littany of hate? That's my most important wargear but i have only one of them (and a 40% crit auspex).
I can't remember where i got them random loot from heroic as far as i remember, they are really worth it, i can clear the area of the smaller tyranids most turns by activating one. I usually save an auspex for the large tyranids.
1.2 contained nothing to change the probability, literally just a rework to fix peoples saved games who has become corrupted. And also stopped you being able to predict which hits were going to crit and use that to your advantage.
It never bothered me or had an impact, i always went with the logic that random numbers are random You could predict what numbers were crits? I just pray! Ha!
Btw,i recently noticed that my tactical with the Bolter "Molocs gift" seems to hit not hard enough (at least since i'm on heroic).A closer look showed me that a lot of shots still fail to connect but how is this possible with an accuracy of 100%? There are no enemy buffs involved nor one of my own buffs (the plus 40 damage thing etc).
I can attest to this in a different way. I have a team of 5 Honour Guards each with Brother at Arms buff (+5% Accuracy and +5% HP for each space marine on your team) and equipping Murder Pistols (+5% Accuracy and +5% HP for each space marine on your team) and one of them has a base accuracy of 70%. 70% + 25% + 25% = 120% Accuracy This excludes the accuracy of the Murder Pistol itself. ( can't check right now) Even with that high of accuracy I still find myself missing infrequently when no other debuffs are in play. Obviously something isn't working.
I apologize for a dumb question but I only got to begin playing this a few weeks ago and didn't touch it since... Life gets in the way! After starting the app it automatically put me into the game mode. I can't figure out how to go to any other menu. Any advice?
While you are in a battle you cannot access the menu. You have to finish the mission. Don't abandon the mission to get to the menu, you would lose all your XP as the game counts this as a defeat.
One might assume that just as our Kill Teams have some damage mitigation and chance to dodge stats. Maybe the Xenos do as well, to go with their active abilities. Particularly on heroic. Just a thought? Edit: there's also the known issue of Honor guard displaying as Blood Angels for some people (myself included) could also impact the Murder / Brothers in Arms buffs?
I always assumed you can hit 100% but then the xenos, as you do, dogde and avoid the bullets on their own, just there aren't specific animations as in the case of your marines.
I appreciate the insight guys and they are valid comments, perhaps correct. But I can tell you with 100% certainty that my team of lone wolves, with maxed accuracy, NEVER EVER miss... Unless there is a Xenos emitting a debuff. Repeat, NEVER... So I don't know what to make of it.
While "on missions" Honour Guard think they are Blood Angels. You can tell by the little chapter icon and the dialogue they use. I don't think they count currently towards the number of UM's on your team.
Yeah I think my second point was the relevant one as Kaughan also stated. I reckon it's the Blood Angel Honor Guard bug. I've can also state that I've never seen a miss from my Lone Wolf team. I don't have a 5 man Honor Guard team so have never used them to the degree that you have and therefore haven't noticed any habitual missing.
