That's not completely true. I have anUM assault champion. In a mission he is in fact recognized as a BA, but some of the UM are working on him nevertheless (the Rite of Ultramar for example). But I hope this UM/BA problem will be fixed with the next update.
I'm sorry to interrupt the discussion here. I would just like to point out, politely, that this is actually impossible to tell. Your friend has no idea what rng algorithm we are using or how we are using it and it is impossible to tell from your save game.
You mentioned previously that the way the rng works is that, yes the randomness of your cards is predetermined. So, will the cards that are drawn from my save be the same on my device as they would is drawn using the same on a different device?
And how did he get 2.000 packs? By farming 200.000 requisition points? Or buying them? Or hacking the save game? Don't you think it's a little obsessive what you're doing here?
I think the pack chat is now pretty redundant. I said my piece a while ago, but I don't think there is any point in further speculation and re-hashing the same arguments until we get more information from the devs. I'm sure Rodeo has gotten the message loud and clear that there is now a core of players who have beaten the game a few times on Heroic and are dissatisfied with their inability to draw certain marines and a handful of items. If they are adamant that RNG isn't broken for either certain individuals (or everyone) then banging the drum on here isn't going to accomplish anything further. Let's see if we can get this thread back on track Who would win in a fight, Lickzy's 5 Lone Wolves or RodeoMatthew's scary high-levelled Sanguinary Guards... Conceivably, depending on the map size, Lickzy could probably move into range using multiple saga of the iron wolf and then pummel the Sanguinary Guard in turn 1..? Discuss...
^^ totally agree, much prefer the tactics discussion and having not gotten a Lone wolf yet I'm keen to hear the fors and against, though there seems no nos to lone wolf
For me, the only weakness I've seen is a lack of a hunker down type ability. However this can be remedied by an oath of immortality, or you can go down the multiple Saga of the Ironwolf route and the extra AP will enable you to either move out of a dangerous situation or simply kill whatever it is that is a threat! Their always active +40% crit Trait is also flat out ridiculous
Maybe obsessive. Got to have a puzzle to solve once you've completed the game a couple of times. Honestl though, It's more to do with a lack of acknowledgment that this needs to be looked at. I can appreciate that acknowledgment of something that involves an iAp mechanic can lead to sticky legal ground.
Sorry my last post on this, as I'd also like the topic to focus on actual game strategy and not the card packs. Based on the numbers available, If you assume all Tier IVs marine draws are equal, that all draws are independant, and take the 7% odd of getting a Tier IV marine in a pack (ie 1/14), the odds of getting one single marine out of the 9 available in a single pack are : 1 / (9*14) ie about one in 125. And of course it doesn't mean you will get one in 125 packs, just that every time you open a pack, you have a 1/125 odd to get a specific TIV marine. So if you still miss a specific marine after a few hundreds packs, it doesn't have to mean that the RNG is broken, it's just a consequence that the odds are low. Some may add way too low though, but that's how it is for now And maybe the odds of getting some Tier Iv marines are even lower.
Hi there I am progressing slowly (can only play while commuting) so I am only in act 2 on veteran. I was very lucky in that I got the master of relics and doom of behemoth very early (no IAP, not much grinding also) and he took care single-handedly of all the big boys on normal. Don't have many high tier items. I did also not have any decent assaults though. Now I got a blood angel champion. He does not have hunker down obviously. Is it worth training this guy, how do I keep him alive once enemies start dealing massive damage - healing 5% seems to me only something for the smaller foes? I prefer keeping my distance but everyone here seems to bring assaults...
You can work around not having hunker down with wargear. If you're just playing casually and enjoying it then try him out for a few missions and see if he fits with your squad and play style. I'm not a big fan of assaults marines as you get towards heroic (unless it's an entire squad of crazy gang SW with all the APs in the world). But they definitely have a strong place in the first two difficulties.
One of the brilliant features of this game is there isn't one right squad set up. You could easily keep an assault marine who's job is just to stick with your UM dev and get in the way of anything that gets close to him - even lays down his life so your master can escape with his exp. Like when a football team builds their game around one or two players. Not everyone has to be a superstar.
I used him on my team as my main melee marine until I started on vet as he was the only T3 melee I had at the time. a med pack and damage midigation item kept him alive for most of the time. He was the marine I used themost to use as a speed bumb when things went wrong though.
Sorry, I agree with Haze; it's unlikely that he actually got the contents of the next 2000 packs. The reason I say this is that there are two methods to get this info: 1. hack your savegame to give you a ton of RP or packs. I have little knowledge of ios saves but assume the savegame is something along the lines of a Blueprints encrypted save as this games uses UE4. Probably possible but I'd guess the knowledge is quite specialised 2. Decompile the app to it's source code. This used to be possible by injecting a cryptid of 0. But I'd guess Apple have closed this loophole in the last couple of years. I expect it's still possible to get a messy version using function hooks and that'd be sufficient for this purpose. It's work unless you do this routinely though. Source: I'm a professional (mostly Windows and Android) developer whom has decompiled (much smaller) apps as part of his job.
My Lone Wolves have 100% critical and accuracy with their respective weapons... Just lacking hp. If I made it to him on turn one before he could use oath or hunker down, that's gamr
I definitely have the looping packs issue: Yesterday I got a T1 inferno pistol, lone wolf and a T4 grav gun. The next T4 pack contained a T1 flamer, sternguard and a T1 lascannon; Lickzy predicted the exact contents in advance. @Rodeo: Can you resolve this when you're back from holiday?
@inuse I thought it went without saying that he probably just calculated the odds, however off the top of my head you'd be likely to get any given item in 2000 packs as long as there isn't a 100% repetition, so aren't sure of the answer here?
